What annoys the spit out of me is that people THINK and BELIEVE that GTPlanet is the OFFICIAL connection and complaint board of Polyphony Digital, it is not affiliated in any way to PD. it's just a great user board/forum.

That it is a great forum.

I wonder if they have anybody incognito on here? You’ve got LogiRich from Logitech roaming all over here and different forums. You’d think Polyphony Digital would have a look around in here. It would help them at least sort out crashing lobbies or completely inoperable lobbies and other weird bugs. There’s an entire page documenting bugs and glitches, if PD isn’t looking at that, why bother even having the thread to note that such and such a car reflects opponents headlights incorrectly?

While they’re snooping around they could take some notes regarding content, how well or I’ll received some of the updates have been.

I suspect if they had a feedback or suggestions box on their website, this forum would be a lot different in regards to people venting their frustrations. If they did have that though it would be flooded, whereas here, they can sift through it.

I’m convinced polyphony digital thinks people just want to pass cars all the time, not actually have a race.
You aren't the only one. The lack of transparency regarding the AI opponents, not to mention those odd lines and braking points, makes me think it's the truth. I do enjoy single player in GT7, but the difficulty goes Cakewalk-Barely Possible-Impossible depending on your car and the ones piloted by the "lead drivers".

The problem is the professional difficulty isn’t difficult at all if you bring the same performance points. I try to bring 80-100pp lower. The annoying part is, if I want to setup a trans am tune race say at Road Atlanta, I have to populate the grid with t tuned cars, and then take the one I want and power restrict it to have a somewhat decent race.
Well, that goes back to my point on the highest setting not being exciting for more competent players. They're only beginner or casual friendly.

Yup, probably because in their mind; they need to do that to appeal to the casual and beginner players. They could make it more appealing to veterans with higher difficulty options using the A.I. implemented in the chili pepper events, but they won't.

Their AI isn’t good enough for us to qualify and start within the pack. When I bought the game (preordered) I don’t know why I expected it to be different. I guess I figured it’s 2022/2023, chase the rabbit style events are probably a thing of the past. Lol
The AI is good enough, have you tried the chilli pepper races? PD can create good AI, there is good AI in the game, the issue is it's used scarcely and you don't have access to this level of AI in custom races. Some of the design choices for the single player career are a bit... Odd. And there are a few people who see it as a missed opportunity. A lot of good stuff framed in a weak single player experience. At least in my opinion. Some people like it the way it is though, that's fine too.

As for the chase the rabbit races, there is a logic to that, it's supposed to allow people of all skill levels the opportunity to race the AI. It's odd I know, but if you're slower, you get in a battle with cars in the back/middle of the packand faster drivers get closer to the front. There's a logic there, but it doesn't result in compelling races.

Sound logic, but once you've gotten some decent amount of seat time, this format gets pretty dull pretty fast. I'm not suggesting getting rid of it because some find enjoyment, rather building upon it and offering different variations that keep players coming back as the gain more and more experience.

That’s also my point, to do their job for them, I have to detune a car to setup a good race and even then it ends up spreading out resulting in me just weaving through cars passing one at a time. Sometimes it’s 3 in one shot. Project cars used to be like a swarm of bees going around the track. I’d still play the game but the graphics don’t hold up for me anymore and I do like a lot of different aspects of GT7 a lot more. Just wish we had more control over AI difficulty rather than fudging around with performance points to get the job done.

Problem with the chilli pepper races is, I’ll bring in a Camaro and suddenly I’ve got a grid of maybe one other muscle car, then there’s a truck in there or a little hatchback. Whatever. It’s fun to create a race and if it’s good, save it as a replay. Watching a replay and suddenly a ford raptor comes ripping around the corner looks a bit ridiculous. Lol

I get the chase the rabbit logic, just think they could give another mode above that where it actually feels like racing not need for speed around a track. If they had a highway point A to point B course, then I’m all for the chase the rabbit style races. Just doesn’t work around a track in my opinion.

Chase the rabbit can be fun for me sometimes, but I will say that it should've implemented in short capacity and the chili-pepper events should be the norm for A.I instead. The Chase-the-rabbit in the next GT would be better as a series of arcade style challenges.

The dang tyre brand debacle. Gr.3 having choices when the Gr.4 cars with tyre branding don’t have choices. I can’t see how it could be a licensing problem. The use of Pirelli decals and tyre branding as an option may have expired. That shouldn’t factor in why Gr.4 cars can’t select Michelins.
It took PD a long while to hot fix the GT SPORT Sport Mode tyre branding glitch. I need the option.

Between here and reddit, you don't see all the people trying get as much out the game while actually playing the game as little as possible? I could see how they could get that idea from people.

Another thing that had annoyed me was the actual neutering of a wonderfully powerful road car, the Plymouth Superbird. I shall give some proof.

Specifications of 1970 Superbird, Performance at bottom of page states maximum speed was 149Mph.

Stock Superbird at maximum speed 129 Mph..

Agree 100% - in some instances, chase the rabbit can be so much fun. Although, not so much on short, closed race tracks. I don't get why PD didn't carry over something like the Sierra Time Rallye from GT6 along with the track. The layout would be perfect for online free roam style lobbies, togue racing, drifting, etc. Still hoping this may some day return.

Edit: this reminds me of how annoyed I am that PD abandoned Missions altogether. Sierra Time Rallye would fit right in there :)

All the muscle cars can’t go over 120mph lol. Lame.

To add to the muscle and pony car annoyance. The only way to get them to 149 mph or close to it with the factory four speed transmission, is to upgrade all the engine parts(including the computer  ). Don‘t select bore up and stroke up.
It should be as easy to offer different final gear options. PD know this. The low and high close ratio transmission options don’t help.

Also missing the drip rail chrome trim on the Camaro and the chrome trim around the wheel wells like the challenger has.

it’s also a shame we can’t just change the diff gearing only to keep the 4 speed.

Yes i know and have done this, I am 60 and grew up with cars like this living next door to me, and the owner did not have loads of cash he was an average joe with an average life and had done some tuning on this car and the 440 Charger and both exceeded 160. What bugs the walnuts off me is that they crippled them out of the box prior to tuning and should be closer to "showroom stock".

After a couple of weeks having the game:

Annoyed by:
' Chase the rabbit
' Payouts
' Grindfest
' Carlist
' VisionGT
' Grand Valley
' Endless announcements
' Mixing of cars (exemple modern lmp1 mixed with group C and VisionGT)
' Eggshell driving
' Offroad expérience (just why)

Since GT1 , GT is still a very good looking hotlap simulator.

Missions, licensing are great fun even when sometimes frustrating

The Super Bee four-speed(3.23 final drive) with its 383 cid and tuned parts(bar Stroke Up) has a theoretical top gear speed of 273kph.
The Charger four speed(3.540 final drive) with its 426 cid and tuned parts(bar Stroke Up) has a theoretical top gear speed of 246 kph.

We need a Fully Customisable Four Speed Manual Transmission option.

that the other idiot keeps telling me:

- "not easy eh....you should review the demo...." in the "licenses"

when I'm only 2/10 of the way to gold: it's okay, I get it, I'll get there, no need to review the demoo.......grrrr 😡😡😡😂😂😂

I simply said the other form of the word
what's the point ?

the way you quoted it looked like you were correcting something, which apparently did not needed to be corrected

and even if it was wrongly spelled... what's the point of correcting people's spelling ?

I didn't correct anything, you chose to believe what you wanted to believe.

Or maybe just a customizable differential. When you buy a limited slip diff, you should be able to adjust the final drive ratio.

Here's one minor annoyance:
As far as I can tell, there is no way to tell which car you have driven the most because miles driven includes mileage already on cars purchased from the UCD. Why not have a secondary mileage parameter (that can be used to sort) that only includes player-driven mileage?
