The Things That Annoy You

I more dont like how most pit stops have the cars teleport unlike in the older GT games, hard to judge when and where cars come in and out like you could in the older games
Well yeah, that’s another aspect of my complaint.

The fact that all PSN servers are down at the moment and we can't play. Having to have an always on network connection, even for non sport sucks.

At least music rally works for now….
I am a physical game guy, but when gran Turismo only works when you are connected to the Internet, and the games cannot be played when offline, then really the need for physical game is actually pointless and moot point, they found the way to screw us gamers... This is true at least since Gt6 or GTSport.... This is so dumb.

And when I of all the liveries, the countless hours put into making quality liveries, all will be lost one day when the servers shut down...

My physical copy of GT7 is worthless.
I pity the fools that we all are...

And the inability to expand memory within the game for me to stack up as many video replays or photos as i want....
Those are the limiting factors that add to the frustration, especially since we are only getting trickling updates...

Progress at snail pace.... All for nothing in the end...
I want to be able to play GT7 decades from now the same way I can still with GT2 if I wanted to.
Why ?!?

There is absolutely no reason this does not exist. At least have it as a configurable view option that you can switch on/off depending on preference.
Forget just hood or bumper etc, they should let us overlay a rear view mirror in cockpit view, so many cars have a mirror you can’t see out of. The HUD needs some serious work, but they won’t change it because it’s been almost the same with every release I’ve played anyway. Not customizable, lacking features, nice layout but you can only select between top half or bottom half instead of selecting certain components. There’s a lot on there I rarely even bother looking at, but most games have a mirror up top. A wink mirror option would be even better.

Give me a wink mirror at the top of the screen, I’d probably shut most of the HUD off including radar. Race position too left, wink mirror, lap time top right. I’d reduce transparency of race position and lap times so they blended in some when racing.

Got another invitation to buy a car that I already have.
I've bought ALL the cars in the game months ago, so why am I still receiving these stupid farking🤬 invitations?

Because they remain part of the prizes you can get and this list never evolves.

Among the things that annoy me : Circuit de Sainte Croix, what is this faqing track. Who let the intern play with the track editor at PD ?

I especially think the C layout is too long, annoying and has too many turns. Even the A layout is confusing and long but I have to try to cope with it even though I hate it.

I like B layout, it has some good flows and corners that is fun to drive on

C and A are dreadful though

I wish I could play with the track editor.

The very weird scripted A.I in Custom Race.

Does the difficulty and Boost sliders even matter? Every time I did a longer race the A.I ahead of me gain a 10 second lead unless I drive absolutely perfect then they give up and drastically slow down half way through, go at a normal race pace the moment Im with them then rubber band like crazy when I get past them only ever held back by lapped traffic.

I wish they stayed at the race pace they are after half way where I am near them so they actually try without getting an unfair boost. It doesnt ruin custom race for me as much as I hate rubber banding A.I but it is quite annoying and nothing changes it.

Kind of :
But none of the solutions are satisfactory...

Porsche 996 GT3 is missing its chin spoiler. Can anyone confirm if the hidden 996 from Granturismo 3 had the chin spoiler lip or not? Can't decide from the pictures i found online.
Porsche 964 Carrera RS is still missing its rear wing raising while driving.

What are the things about GT7 that annoy you the most? Here are a few things that annoy me:
-Having to create a livery to change the colour of a car
-The game forcing you back to the home screen before going to another section of GT Auto
-Not being able to fit every wheel to every car
-Lenient event restrictions
-Lack of proper city courses
I have been needing a Porsche invitation since I started playing the game in February, I've seen it come up in tickets 3 times without getting it, even tried letting the tickets sit for days without redeeming to see if that made a difference (it didn't) the other thing that irks me is receiving parts that look as though you could buy through the garage.Plus cars that never become available in the menu extra book. Are there any tips on getting the invitation I need?

Nothing in your power.

Sometimes one invite can change to another brand if you re-open it after an update, but it never worked for me.

So get as much DW tickets and hope for the best, it will come one day, hopefully.

I know this maybe a bit harsh and some folks may disagree with me, but can we please mute Jeremy in the cafe, please, he gets so damn annoying and is liek one of those chaps that just talks about pointless things in cars.

The AI just reminded me why I almost exclusively do time trials in this damn game. I don’t give a crap how many times it’s been complained about already, it’s not been complained about enough, and this includes Sophy.

Unpredictable, irrational, inconsistent, stupid, unrealistic and enraging. These are just a few words off the top of my head to describe it.

And no, I’m not talking about speed, I’m talking about behaviour. Unorthodox racing lines, slamming the brakes mid-corner, PIT manoeuvring on straights and zero awareness of the surroundings. I’m starting to wonder if it was this bad in previous installments even? Well, probably was, but that’s no excuse.

Ai still still learning... Be patient, soon enough you will regret your words and reminisce the times you could still go around it..

If you're driving a stick-shift car and using cockpit view, the driver spends way too much time with his hand on the shifter and not on the wheel. You can be going through a very technical part of a track with a lot of turns, the the driver is doing all of the steering one handed.

Like, only move your hand to the shifter as required and get it back on the wheel you spud.

Yeah, in complete agreement. This messes with the immersion so much.

The lack of shuffle mode. Joke.
TBH I was never a fan of shuffle when it was a feature, but that was LONG time ago. Now with Sport Mode, shuffle is almost necessary, at least for some events. Like, for instance, last week and this week, the Race A event. There's no DR anyway, so shuffle it up.

The AI is incredibly slow in the corners. This game is pretty poor in that regard, it always feels like a race to the corner and then you have to deal with their unpredictability. Not like they keep it tucked in or wide, you literally never know what they’re going to do. I find custom race to be better, feels less programmed and setup, however you can only get about four laps of fun and then they start doing weird stuff or it’s way too easy or the leader is so far out front you don’t stand a chance.

I 100% agree with you, the AI in this game has to be about the worst out there. I don’t think I battle it out too much, it always seems like if there is a battle, they let off as soon as my front bumper passes their front bumper, and then they just back way off. I’ve never had a door to door with the AI unless it’s custom race and there’s literally nowhere to pass the cars ahead of you, you get stuck beside one, and it’s good fun. While it lasts.

I don’t know what sort of custom races you manage to generate, but I just tried one. Me against 7 opponents, all in cars identical to mine, grid start, 5 laps around Tsukuba and the rivals difficulty set to “professional level”. I started in 8th place but managed to overtake them all in the first corner and led by 5 seconds at the end of the first lap, and I don’t consider myself very good at the game even.

I made a trans am one, worked at some tunes, then filled it full, threw myself at the back. I think I’m a bit lower in performance points, handling isn’t as good as them. But the boss 429 just takes off on me or the Daytona, depending which one gets out front first. Road Atlanta, 10, laps, but race is pretty much over by the fourth or fifth lap. I don’t push my way through, I race like I don’t want to kill anybody. Haha

This is also why I think they should allow users to share their custom races they’ve made, there’s a thread of custom races and lots of people have worked hard at getting a good balance.

If you just populate it with the same car and tune as yourself, you do exactly that, mop the floor with the AI before the first lap is over and that’s on professional. They need to seriously work on their AI in my opinion.

Project Cars had a difficulty slider, you could go up one percent at and time with difficulty and aggression too. Took a bit to find the right setting but made for some palms sweating races. I love gran Turismo, but not their AI, never have liked it. That being said, I do wish we could toss some AI into multiplayer lobbies just to introduce another variable.

To me it's the perfect mode. Drive cars you would never drive, the faster drivers get the pants cars, everyone on crap tyres with the slow cars. Maybe randomise the track every race and make it daily D. If it doesn't get the most players most weeks I'll eat the dog.
