The Things That Annoy You

I get they’re trying to please everyone, but I think they should have their physics sorted out before releasing a game.
Option A: Never try to improve the physics. People will complain. Option B: Postpone the release until it's finally finished. People will complain. And here we have option C: Try to improve the physics on updates. People complain.

People will complain but at least you know what the game is. When I first got it my thoughts were, meh, same old Gran Turismo… but I’ll play it. Then they updated, I guess it seems better. Then another update, ok this is actually a lot better. Then they didn’t for awhile and I got used of it, tuned some cars. Was quite happy and then they updated again and a couple cars I had tuned to drive how I liked were completely different. Now it’s slowly coming back.

I say, wait, stick to you guns, release the game in its best form and leave it be. You can’t please everyone so you may as well please yourself and if it’s a failure than fix it the next time around instead of catering. It leaves people playing the game in hopes of what it might become rather than what it is so they’ll always be disappointed in one way or another.

When PD introduce a new bloody EV car like the HYundai N Ioniq thingy and then throttle the car as if it is only using an auto box in boring crap D mode. The car can simulate gearchanges so let us do that so we can have more flexibility and fun in game as intended by the maker of the car. Dont get me started on the Dull-HR.....:yuck:

See video below as an example (8min45secs) watch for the minute and see the gearchanging emulation:

I wanna be like my crazy japanese uncle and drift the crap out of this thing, not feel dissapointed!

-Online requirement

It's been said over and over, but this always online thing is getting old, PD. I just want a modern GT game I can pick up and play without having to worry about game updates and also hope my internet doesn't go out in the middle of a race. but nah, you insist everything in the game needs to be connected to your sluggish servers and made the game a brick off-line for no rational reason.

Seriously. When the server was down, I just played GTA5 and PC2.
There must be a way to separate Sport Mode from the rest of the game. Single Player Arcade Mode should just have all the cars available. I'll take that with its cheap payouts and AI over a handful of cars to choose and Music Rally.

My 2 cents of the day. Most likely someone already pointed these out.

- not being able to sell 2 copies of the same car right away. Waiting 24 hrs real time to sell the other copy is annoying. Minor detail, probably related to the "always online" thing but still.

- opening your garage and seeing the engines you have avaiable for swapps but not having any clue by the game of which engine goes where. Sure you can do your GT Planet research, but I think it would be nice if the game gave me some guidance too.

To add to that...some sort of icon that shows which cares have been swapped, like the ones that show what cars are widebody.

At the tuning shop, we can't reduce the porsche GT1 weight 😥.
the strassenversion weight is 1200kg and sadly it's impossible to apply GR2 specs like it rivals McLaren F1 GTR and Amg CLK GTR.

Nor you can swap its engine for a racing one.
IRL, the street version engine is detune to 540hp, instead of 600hp in the racing one. In gt7 you can add some parts to increase power or transmission, but nothing else to reduce weight.
a lot of cars have these tuning options, but not the porsche GT1...

Since the latest update, its' almost mission impossible to win some races.

Lately i've been doing the Nurburgring WTC 800 class. Yesterday, using the Honda NSX GT3 (classic version), i was up into 3rd place on the penultimate lap, overtaking into 3rd place at the second Karousel. The car lacks straight line speed, but with RM tyres, it claws it way back in the corners.

I head into the pits to fill up exactly half tank and change into a new set of tyres. Heading out the 4th place car (I think it was the Viper), was ahead of me heading into the first corner, even though he was way behind me in the pitstops.

Have anyone experienced this before?

P/S: I race in Hard mode.

Mini rant incoming......PD really need ot rethink the ecosystem for the User interface for multiplayer sport racing, I mean spceifcially the lobby login screen. It so drab and boring to look at, nice music but, with the ugly drop down menus, crapola. The flow is so slow and ardious to find a decent race. Why cant there be recommendations for me to try out???

Even maybe Sophy races with real peopl sprinkled in???

Also I need an indicator on the track menu screen, so that if people have alrady entred a race or not. I hate wasting time going into a room lobby and realising that people are racing and I have to sit and spectate if they decide to do another race/track, it wasteful and unproductive.

I just want to race and enjoy with like minded GT racers.

They really need to refix this whole system for the next installement.

The same goes for the Mustang Gr3 road car. I tried to do something inspired by the Mustang GTD using the GAC Maverick engine swapp, and I found out there's no weight reduction and no front downforce options for this car.

Too bad.

Apparently it can be done via BoP! This week's online time trial has the Strassenversion down 5 kilos or something like that!

the AI Viper did not change tyres during his pit stop therefore shorter time beats you to pit exit....
