So I just grabed the code of the color from that picture Noob616 posted and with my great luck it's one that isn't named.

Anyway, looking at this, it's definitely purple as far as I can tell.

It's very definitely not purple to me.

Purple to me is an even mix of red and blue. That looks like blue on blue on blue with maybe a whisper of red. Your text, on the other had, has an insane amount of red by comparison, a bit more red than what I consider purple.

EDIT: This is exactly the kind of dissonance I get from English speakers all the time- at least in North America, most people seem to consider anything darker than true blue to be a form of purple, and it kills me a little on the inside.

Compare with the graph of Navy Blue:

So Navy blue is extremely close, but it doesn't have the same level of green.

I think this is as close as you can get with a named color.







So now that I really think about purple and what it actually means to be purple I'm thinking it's definitely a shad of blue.

Also, I'm unbelievably tired, so my judgement may be a little off.

So, basically, I'm more confused now than I was before.

Also, I doubt they will do what I said with Trixie, but still, the possibility of it is something I don't like.
On a more positive note; I wonder what the odds are on her showing up early in the season and joining the main cast, because if done right that could be the greatest thing to happen since the show started.

Except when Seth has a coronary and ED has to be shut down.

Well judging by all of the official stuff I've seen, I'd have to go with a very dark shade of blue, like the Pabst Blue in my post about.
But the only problem with that is I can't tell how accurate that picture is to the show itself.

Also, if my mom ends up seeing that I'm awake now(3:10) when I need to be up for the guy to instal FiOS at 8am tomorrow, am I going to have a good reason? No, because my reason is that I was in a heated debate about the color of a cartoon pony's mane.

Anyway, at this point I feel like there's nothing left to add to the color conversation, so, I have a new desktop wallpaper:

Well, the RGB sampling indeed points out that it would be madness to call any of those colors purple, considering red has the least presence overall... And it also means it's 3am and I need to get up for work at 6am!

Yet another sad fanfic involving Trixie and big city,meh,but is kind of well written and interesting,so If you have nothing better to do,well there you have it.

Also,why does all fanfics update when I'm on my fanfic-free-week?,dammit.

However I'm starting to think that these kind of fanfics have no real goal,or defined structure,they just sort of evolve according to the comments or community thoughts,what bothers me is that they end up being somewhat expected,which is something that I just cant overlook,this rule doesn't apply to every fanfic,but I have started to see this trend more often in the latest story updates.

And now for something completely different:
I went on a photo shoot with Fluttershy's new Evora.

I feel really happy with the results on this one. I tried to do something with the headlights for the eye's, but I had to either make them massive, or have her in rage mode, so I just went without them figuring it was enough.
Also, it's a little subtle, but I colored around the inside of the front bumper to match the color of her mouth when she's smiling, and I also added her nose around the Lotus emblem.

This just gave me the best idea ever. We NEED someone to draw a pony on the Nurburgring. Rainbow Dash right at the carousel would be badass.
Then we'd have ponies on the discs of FM4 and GT6(unless of course they're still keeping the track up to date in GT5)

^Whine? The Carrera GT's brilliant V10 engine screams rather than whines, but a Rarity/Carrera GT combo sounds like a good idea to me.

We NEED someone to draw a pony on the Nurburgring. Rainbow Dash right at the carousel would be badass.
Then we'd have ponies on the discs of FM4 and GT6(unless of course they're still keeping the track up to date in GT5)

If only we had a German Brony on GTP, they wouldn't have to travel far to create some Pony graffiti on the Nurburgring.

Also, that's given my an idea for a feature that Turn 10 should add to Forza 4, customizable graffiti on the Nurburgring (or any track for that matter). It can be similar to making a car vinyl in that you create layers and combine them to make an image of, for example, a character from MLP. Once that's done, you can place the image you've created anywhere on the track.

Crap, I became aware of that fanfic a few weeks ago, but I wouldn't know when to read it if I decided to. Also, the description for 'To Be An Alicorn' alone gives me the impression that it's quite a sad story, not to mention some of the comments about it as well

I'm leaning towards the XK8, but the Aston is the fastest.

Alright, this is just too weird of a coincidence;

Alright, so I'm done the right half of the Aston plus or minus a few tweaks as I complete the rest of the design, but I just wanted to post what I have and see what you guys think.

I'm feeling pretty pleased with it so far, but there's no telling what will or will not change as I finish the rest of the design.

EDIT: This is taking a very long time, but given the simplicity of the rest of her, it shouldn't take much longer in total than Fluttershy.
Still Trixie took the most weighing in at about 6 hours. Between the cape, the hair, the eyes, and my lack of practice, that design was a tough.
I do feel like I'm learning more tricks to save layers and time as I practice, though.
EDIT: And I've got a friend coming over for a while, so I'll be putting this on hold for now.

I'd go with the XK8, mainly because it looks alot better in that colour than the DB9. I'm not sure about the XKR though, it looks good, but I prefer the XK8 for some reason.
