So, I made this post:

One thing I'm curious about is if Hasbro will try to reach into the periphery demographic with merchandise.

I mean, as a generic 20-something male with a broadband internet connection, I have no interest in buying ponies, but I would happily fork over money for the same kind of useless crap that I buy for anime, various shows from my youth and widget videogames. Blu Ray boxsets, soundtracks, t-shirts, posters, feelies, etc. I mean, obviously MLP is a merchandise machine, but it generally isn't wide-reaching merchandise.

Then I made this post:

Do Rainbow Dash toys exist? I know I specifically said that I had no interest in ponies, but I was willing to make an exception if I could get a sweet RD one.
But I've been to two Wal-Marts and a Target and I haven't seen any Dash toys except for some old G3 ones.

Then I went to Wal-Mart today and bought this anyways:

Then remembered after I got home that this was the set that is available at Toys 'R Us for only $10 and I paid $15 (marked down from $20, but still). Oh well.



This means I basically lied to myself twice. I bought ponies when I said I wouldn't, and I bought a pony set that did not include Dash when I also said I wouldn't. Though I do like how these are a lot more show-accurate than the normal ones (other than the obvious problem).
Apparently you can get molded ponies that actually look like G4 ponies separately for like $4 or something like that. They had Dash toys with the flowing hair and a brush, but they looked like garbage. So the hunt continues.



Not sure if I'll be able to sleep knowing that there is a Pinkie Pie toy in my house, though.

I have kicked around the thought of perhaps making/sending a "Bob Chandler/Bighoof" custom down to the boys at the shop in St. Louis...but I don't think I'm THAT talented. Perhaps I could commission one. X3

I most probably won't buy ponies, unless they make a decent Rainbow Dash. Then I'll get a Snake action figure to mount her.

But, but... I heard it was delayed too!

Seemingly it was part of a bigger puzzle that continued and cycled (meaning that Mayans never predicted our demise).

For me world ends when:

a) You die. (World ends for you.)
b) Asteroid ****s us.
c) People stop caring about anything. (Life loses its "spice", thus world practically ends as life has no meaning anymore.)

I would have bought ponies long ago if the store I worked ay varied them. And yes, I would be willing to walk through the checkout infront of my coworkers while carrying My Little Pony stuff.

I just haven't had a reason to go to a store that carries them and I don't want to waste gas just for the ponies.

And I know this post is a little late for that conversation, but I only get about an hour of internet time a day until I get my laptop back.

I think it must be because people feel related to it. Because I don't see nothing good in it that would make it popular. So Internet must be filled of friendless losers. (Bronies are obviously excepted because our society is completely based on friendship.)
