That's why it's so long for me too, not having the Hub in NZ I have to wait for Youtube uploads. But it's still on the same day it releases so it should be fine. (Even though it's Sunday when the new episodes arrive on Youtube, but it's still Saturday in America)

I'm waking up at 6:30 tomorrow just to watch this show. It's been a long, long time, I haven't even rewatched season 2 yet.

I'd say that watching season 2 is a must before you even go near any new episode, but there's only 2 or so hours left, so whatever.

I suggest using Bronystate, plus they have a room without a distracting chat stream. Brony Network and Otaku Ascended are both reliable livestream channels, so they'll do as backup streams.

Only part I didn't like was the changing of the focus from a horrid villain trying to take over/destroy something dear to the ponies, to the actual thing they're protecting over the rather milquetoast villain. He had a really cool design, this King Somber/Sombre/Sombrero but he said four words then a vague sentence. Not sure how well the fandom will take to this, perhaps run screaming head over tea-kettle throwing this stuff into new fanworks, or ignore it, like nothing else in the fandom.

Oh, and Rarity was hilarious.

The villian was a little generic, but it's just nice to have new episodes again. :3

Okay, I really shouldn't have watched all those episode spoilers. It felt like I watched the entire first episode already, so that kinda tainted the experience for me. Gonna go back to my pre-season 2 plan and avoid spoilers instead.

As for the second episode, that was only marginally better. Plenty of badass moments, and they didn't hold back when Sombra was vanquished. They did push the whole Crystal thing quite a bit throughout the 2-parter, but they did look pretty cool especially when the Mane 6 became such ponies temporarily, plus Twilight using dark magic was neat (so was Rainbow Dash wearing Crystal Armor :3). Rarity got shipped with everyone as well by the looks of things, and yes she was hilarious.

I'm not sure if I'm the only one who thought it didn't come close to matching my expectations, but it's how I feel. The villain was a typical dark force that just wanted to rule over an empire for his own gains. Very little characterisation compared to the previous villains.

So yeah, let the final song remixes begin.

I saw that along with all the other similar images on DB, but the spoiler tags there are messing around so when it should have blocked the images, it actually did nothing and they all just showed up instead. So 🤬 it, I'll just avoid the episode teaser videos instead.

And yeah, that's some awesome trolling and all, but there was one other episode spoiler I saw that will have some fans asking questions. Plus it turns out they have the basic synopsis for pretty much every season 3 episode on the FiM episode Wiki page.
