In short - yes.

You upgraded something without first seeing if their was a performance deficiency.

Anyway - /me is out of here before tryign to bring common sense to a hardware topic causes chaos.

So I guess when we buy a game and it prompts us for an update, we should just tell it no and play it as is?

By not upgrading your firmware, you won't take advantage of the improvements. Such as pedal sensitivity.

What RC said falls under the "ignorance is bliss" category.

You know RC There was a time and don't get me wrong I still do. I would take into consideration the things you have to say. But your last comment brings me to believe how dolt you can be.

Says the guy that buys mechanics gloves for driving with.

Random hardware bios updates are a recipe for failure - but what the cuff - its your $600 wheel you want to brick - not mine.

Note how TM have not provided a mechanism to reverse bios changes - this leaves YOU the end user with the can when it goes to cr@p.

Again I just rememebered why I stopped reading and posting on this forum.

When v34 is released to cure the dead T500's out there I will have no need to post "I told you so". Enjoy.

You're not thinking with your dip stick "Jimmie".

"Mechanix Wear" makes gloves for all sorts of applications. Including gardening, heavy duty lined with carbon, and rubber disposable gloves.

What say you?

BTW, the "Mechanix Wear" model 0.5 gloves are nice for driving.

Upgrading to the latest firmware is pretty much standard procedure, same as upgrading to the latest drivers for your hardware or latest patches for your games and software. So I'm not sure what prompted your latest comments.

If that really messes something up it's nobody's fault but Thrustmaster's.

You're logic is insulting to common sense, you're saying screw what the manufacturer says about their own product. Thrustmaster makes firmware updates to better their product, it can be important to research before updating but it's standard procedure to trust in an update to better the product :dopey:

Chill out, dude, and have a homebrew!
:)

On my side I can confirm that last firmware (V33) really improves pedals precision especially when you made some quick & small movement on pedal plate. In addition calibration with V33 is now always perfect 👍

I'm pretty sure I read almost every post in this thread. Sorry about so much arguing, but as long as it is civil, it helps bring out the facts.

But I didn't see anything that said clearly the best seat to use with this, other than some implementation from Omega GT.

Any advice? I currently have Playseat Evolution V2 with G25. Not stable when racing, but works pretty well. I have been using at least 3 years off and on.

Thanks,

Chris

Chris, I just finished setting up my Obutto Ozone and already I'm impressed with it's sturdiness. I don't have anything to compare it to but having viewed some video of other posters with various cockpits, I believe the Ozone is equal to some and sturdier than others. I definitely think it has an edge over the Playseats. Without spending considerably more I don't think you can beat the Ozone for stability.

Thanks. Setup looks good on their website. I'll look for more information.

I like if everything just bolts up nice and sturdy without modifications.

Planning on getting T500 as soon as Amazon gets more stock.

Any other choices or seats I should consider. Live here in the states?

Chirs

No need to get another seat, the T500rs works great with the playseat evolution. Very stable and firm. Been using for many weeks now as I was one of the first to pick up the t500 rs. You can see a few of my posts early in this thread.

How does that pedal setup work for you? It looks from the outside like you would have to hold your legs up in the air while not pressing on pedals...

Well, Fry's has ONE T500. They are holding it for me. Sales tax will cost about $70, liberal IL is bucking for the worst taxed state. Plus, it'll cost me about $20 in gas.

I have one ordered through Amazon, I'll
Have it next day for $4 when they finally do get them in stock. Thrustmaster says they will be available in the 2nd half of Feb.

What to do...

Get it now man, it'll be worth it just to not be waiting anymore!

Someone tested if the wheel works fine with TDU 2 on pc? Thrustmaster wrote to me that the current version of the game is NOT compatible with TDU 2 but they didnt said if its only not compatible on consoles or even on pc... They also said that they wait for an official answer from Atari...

No offense to those who like TDU, the game doesn't look too good. It looks really cheeeezy Does it really matter if this $600 wheel works for this game? From what I've seen, it looks like Home on wheels. Maybe cruising around in an open world is the fun part. All the other stuff, I just don't get it? The dude, the woman, meh.

GameFly shipped it out, should be here today.

I don't know if it's so much "I need a wheel for TDU2!" and more "Will the T500RS be supported in new titles?" that people are wondering about.

That said, I liked TDU1, and will probably get TDU2 someday. Yeah, it's like GT meets the Sims kinda, but it's fun to drive in a "real world" kind of setting too.

Oh thnkas for posting the TDU 2, never even bothered with any other racing games besides GT.

I looked into this one. I can this being a lot of fun. Something we all hoped GT Life would implement. That free roam enviroment. . . I want track laws and citations to those that want to ruin cruising...you know speeders and people that just want to wreck. Have a point system like real license you get some many points you lose ability to free roam for a week. :)

Sorry for that.

Any word on the shifter for the Thrustmaster? Only thing keeping from ordering....I came close to ordering last week. None in stock. So I got me a buttkicker gamer 2 for the G27 equipt cockpit. Really wish it was H pattern shifted Thrustmaster though.

I hear you about waiting for a Thrustmaster shifter. I'm still waiting on my T500 Rs to arrive but here is what I did to address the problem. Since I primarily PC race, I ordered a Lightning SST shifter which can only be used on PC. Now, it is one damn sexy shifter. $200 but it comes with a lifetime warranty and is made of all metal. Beautiful piece of equipment.

I only play GT occasionally so I plan on just using the paddle shifters since by the time I hit the summer, I prob won't be playing GT anymore. If I really need the TH shifter, I can always sell the Lightning SST and pick one up. Of course, if GT is your main game, then what i suggested flies out the window.

I paid $630 tax and shipping included. 3rd party through Amazon. Company called GizmosForLife. They were about 3 weeks off from the delivery date. But I got it and it's all it is hyped up to be.👍

Damn, i should have been born in America lol.

It´s the bloody nazis sitting in the goverment here that let´s us pay tax on tax on tax on tax you know ;)

Btw, Can anyone sum it up for me regarding this wheel on Iracing? Would like a comparison with a V2 if you have because that´s what i have now.

Sorry dude, I was born in Germany. But was lucky enough to be a military brat with my folks just being stationed there.
