The only thing half holding be back about definitely buying one is the lack of a shifter. I have recently gotten involved in iRacing and it would be nice to use with certain cars.

Do they have any plans for releasing a shifter in the near future?

What you inherit is the possibility of someone screwing around with it and having a POS voided warranty. Pay the difference and buy a new one, please.

Wait a sec- I already have a T500rs; unless this was for the benefit of other buyers 👍

Some nice setups lads...

I wonder next week if Thrustmaster will have a few surprises for us at E3.

Me too!

If you mainly just play iRacing you could use an aftermarket shifter with it anyway.

Kroil eh?

That is the best penetration lube we have ever used at our shop. We stock it. Many local mechanics come and purchase it. ;)

It is the most awesomest multi-purpose/slick stuff/penetrating lube out there. Well, right next to KY that is.:)

Hope the H-shifter comes out then 👍

A bit of OT... I'm thinking of copying cobracommandrew's setup, but thinking of using aura pros (L and R). I think they will fit nicely side by side under the seat :)

Just saw this posted on the Thrustmaster Facebook page...

The new shifter is coming guys!!! :D

No, none that I can think of, not with a stick shift at least. The Veyron and the BMW M5 have a seven-speed manual box, but both have paddle-shifters.

I assume that was done so the guy that wants to bang every gear in every car can do so. With say a g27 you can shift to sixth but have to paddle 7th

I don't see the true point as an enthusiast. However these items gotta be marketable. Seven speed shifter sounds Ooooh aaaah.

Anyway. I'm in.

Yeah it would probably not be ideal to have to go back-and-forth between a stick and paddles. So I am stoked they kept that in mind. for example, that new Porche will have a 7 speed manual transmission. It will surely popup in rFactor in the form of some mod. On GT5 side we will no doubt be screwed though (no porches!)

The new Porsche 911 will have a 7 speed manual. And I think the Huayra is also a 7 speed, but an "automated" manual of some kind.

I wonder if it'll just be a USB device and also connect with the wheel for console operation. I want a good shifter for my PC, and I want it to have the capability of it being separate from the wheel. Whoever can give provide the best one, I'm buying. $400 bucks sitting in my paypal to play around :D

^^ Franjo do you have a t500rs? It has to be seperate usb connection cause we have no free slot for a shifter to plug into on our wheel

Wonder if they will do like a splitter plug or similar. Doubtful but it will indeed be interesting to see how it all works when released.

No I don't own a t500 yet sand. Waiting to hear news, I want to know what's going on before I get it. Your answer guarantees it'll work on PC though no matter what wheel I use then. I hope! lol.

Looking sharp, Thrustmaster. Looks like an ACT Labs shifter on steroids. Can't wait to find out more.

Which makes me wonder about ps3 compatiability.

My PS3 has two USB ports which makes connecting the T500RS and the shifter possible. I would also assume that Thrustmaster would build a USB port onto the shifter so that you can plug the T500RS wheel into (making the extra USB port useable for other device).

Come on guys they not going to make a PC only shifter. I would say I would eat my socks or something if I was wrong haha but seriously it's going to be ps3 compat it would be crazy to make it PC only.

I agree with Sandbox, of course it will be compatible with PS3.

I'm almost sure Thrustmaster will allow it as a PC peripheral as well without having to own the T500. It just opens the door to more customers and more options. If they were only tailoring to people who bought a T500, it wouldn't be that much of a group.

On the other hand, if they tailor to EVERY pc simracer out there regardless of wheel, you have a goldmine!
