ok. thanks for the advice. i sold the G27. t500rs will come soon :)

You are about to be amazed!!! The difference is almost like the controller to G27. Ok not that drastic. But way more connected. I have picked up time since getting comfy with the T500.

i get it. but what can you tell me about the pedals of the t500rs compared to the g27's pedals?

Not quite on par with the Clubsport pedals from Fanatec, but head and shoulders above the G25 and G27 offerings. You'll be pleased.

If not mistaken the T500 pedals have a higher resolution. The gas is smooth IMO.

Used CSP's but not long enough to get used to them.

What's the resolution of the T500 RS pedals? The ClubSport pedals can support 1024 bits of resolution on a PC when connected via USB. When run inline through the Fanatec wheel, resolution drops to one quarter of that.

%100 agree with you JJ. I actually have been holding off this wheel for that exact reason...and yes I am to rather unhappy.

Having said that I already promised myself one thing about a month ago, if I don't hear anything concrete from TM by the end of E3, I'm getting a G27.

This is ridiculous.

Don't get a G27, It goes off center really easily. The centering sensor unscrews itself from the motor and the wheel never returns to center. The reason I bought a T 500 is because my g 27 broke.
T 500 is a much sturdier wheel.

Pedals are much better compared to the G27 pedals. Especially the brake. You end up not braking as hard as you did on the G27 and the result are faster lap times. In GT5 using the F2010 in Indy I am down about 1.5 seconds from my best with a G27. The pedals in the T500 are much sturdier. Overall a better wheel

I have a G27 and have never had any issues with it at all period!!!

I actually was really interested in the Thrustmaster T500 and the only thing that held me back from getting one was that there were so many problems with it early on that I was afraid to risk getting one having to deal with the headache of shipping it back if I had problems.

There was so much confusion as people had wheels marked as V2 and V3 and no one could say what was different between them, some people said it was the firmware but the firmware could be updated on a V1 wheel so I am still a little confused.

My only question now is are people still seeing issues with the product now as once again I am considering it.

trust me, the g27 goes off centre sooner of later. mine went off centre after 3 months. i managed to repair it but i don't know if i could do it again.

Huh!!! Way,Way,Way overblown!

I bought mine the first day G27 came out at Best buy and still dead on center. Maybe you right it will eventually but I've done a lot racing with my G27.
I'm sure all the wheel can give you trouble since they are more likely all built in China by very cheap labor. You know the saying "you get what you pay for".... Well, hopefully we'll get more or the wheel will fall apart within a few months.

Same here, that is why I felt the need to chime in on that statement!!

I have a lot fun with the G27 but if the T500 is really that much better I would like to experience that, one of my issues is that I only race on the PS3 and though GT5 is supported (Official Wheel for GT5), Shift 2 isn't and that doesn't leave much, I will be buying this for one game and I have advanced pretty far in the game already (is it really worth it at this point...probably not, but I am sure I can't resist and will get it anyway).

Concerning gear shift picture, is it knob reflection that we see on bottom???

I also thought it was. It really looks like a knob. I´m not sure if a red knob will look nice, so I hope it will be a nice metal one.:sly:

Awesome pic 👍

I just got done watching Le Mans race earlier this morning (it was awesome!). Too bad they didn't show footage of people playing with the t500rs on my tv channel (SPEED) [unless they did air a clip while I got some sleep]

Looking forward to more shifter info too 👍

I have a G27 too, dude. It's sitting in a Box, in my room after I had to open it to fix it! That's the reason I bought a Thrustmaster. No comparison on quality.
