I just ordered a refurbished T500RS online for £269.99. I hope I did the right thing. I wonder if thrustmaster honour warranty for a used wheel, I suppose I could sell it on for profit.

Regarding lubricant. My ford focus gear shift was making a grinding squeaking sound, so I picked up a bottle of cleaner/lube spray from tesco, it was in the car section right next to the wd40, infact the bottle was exactly the same and had the same straw taped to the side. It took a second to lift up the leather sock and a couple of sprays on the ball joint at the base of the stick did the trick.

That's a bargain! I'd be very pleased if I were you

I have a question how could i get an invoice if i don't have it anymore?

I am very concerned and nervous about an issue that isn’t with my wheel but with my mother and father. The wheel was a late Christmas present for me from my mom and dad, they bought it from best buy online I found out. The problem is that there email address no longer works so they can’t log into best buy online to print out an invoice, they also did not keep the receipt.
So as you can see I am very concerned that this is a problem and I won’t be able to get my wheel fixed. I also have heard other people haven’t needed to include there invoice in the email Just the serial number i hope that this is the case.

Can i get a hold of one if they search there credit card history or something? Or maybe i could just go to best buy it was a in store pickup so i think they would have history on transaction like that.

Definitely the way forward, it was payed on card so you should be able to do it that way.

What I think you should do though is talk to your parents and get an original of the statement showing the payment for that item to best buy. Hopefully it will be itemised saying Thrustmaster t500rs.

The retailer can print a copy. Call BestBuy.com and or a local store. BB has purchase records for me from 10 years ago.

You could make a screenshot on a PC or Mac. I used a screenshot from the Amazon app on my phone as proof of purchase.

Hi all, I need help, today debuts the T500 Rs, download the driver with the latest update, I use it with RBR and after a time the game slows down and makes noises as if docked something, someone can help me?
Thank you very much anticipated.

Did you get that off Amazon?

I'm getting the TH8 on Thursday. Is it as simple as plug in and play so that the clutch works or do you need to calibrate the pedals or something???

If you're referring to how TH8RS would work in GT5- with cars with clutch support (not all cars do- for example, Ferrari California and the 458 are sequential shifting only and I'm sure there are others), all you need to do is to press the clutch at the start of the drive to initiate H-gated/clutch shifting.

And be aware that the TH8RS sequential mode also works in GT5. You do have to adjust and change the plate.

One question, do you know if the resource-intensive T500RS the PC, I use it with RBR and pulls Screen and Sound, formerly G25 went well, any recommendation. Thank you very much.

I got the Ferrari F1 Wheel Add-On for my T500 and all I can say is 👍

I read some early reviews about the rim being "light/cheap", but that is not true at all. IMO, it's a quality piece of kit and the entire setup feels way more responsive now.

I don't care for the button mapping while navigating on the PS3, but I'll get used to that I'm sure. Where it counts, on the track, it's a big step above the GT rim IMO. Having moving paddles doesn't hurt either.

I could do without the fake gauges on the wheel... makes it look like a toy, but the rim is really better than I expected. Now if it's durable I'll be set for a while.

Well, I've got my wheel. Sadly, it's faulty. Out the box a metal block sitting under the accelerator pedal(default F1 mode) fell out, there's one under each pedal with a thin layer of rubber on them, the other two are welded in place but this one wasn't. I imagine they stop the pedals from bottoming out. Regardless, I didn't think that would have any effect on the pedal and I'm sure it doesn't, but the pedal doesn't register (playing GT5) at all. I tried the mode button(red/green light) and did a bit of left foot acceleration no problems, threw the pedals over on its back and went at it GT style, all good.

I plugged it into my laptop to take a look but Thrustmaster tech support site is down. If someone could upload the software and firmware somewhere for me I'd be grateful. Also, where on the box does it have the version number? It came in the official box but no outer brown box as seen in some unboxing videos.

Finally, nitpicking. The wheel is in really good nick, just missing one of four rubber pads under the wheel that sits on desk or whatever flat surface you use.

All in all, quite disappointed. I was planning on purchasing the shifter too. Shame.

I think that metal block you're referring to is the real-brake mod. When I got mine, it wasn't pre-install and according to the user manual I have, it's an optional installation that users have to install it themselves. It should have been in a clear sealed plastic bag with all the necessary tool for you to do the installation.

As to the version number- look under the wheel housing. It should be around where the S/N number. It a simple V followed by the actual number.

Thanks. The real brake mod and all its bits are still sealed in its original little plastic baggie. If you look right at the base of all three pedals you'll see what I'm referring to. All three are identical with a paper thin layer of black rubber on the top. Its the one under the accelerator(in F1 mode) that's fallen out, the brake and clutch are fine.

The driver is in the link above your post^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Thanks. That link goes to the original website I was trying to access at the time of posting for help, it wasn't working then. Seems to be fine now. Thank you anyway.

Are there screw holes on the piece that fell out? Is there a circle cut out of the middle of the (not really) "paper thin" rubber? That cut out is where the spring goes. Are there screws in the bottom of the box? Have you initiated an incident with Thrustmaster?

In iRacing I have set Rotation to 1080, FFB to 6 or 7. I have not experienced this deadzone. I don't have access to my setup so I can't give you my Thrustmaster driver settings.

Bro,whats your settings? i have a huge deadzone when turning after configuring the wheel.

I also use my T500RS for iRacing (and rFactor, GT5 and Richard Burns Rally). I set it to 900 degrees for iRacing, 25 for in-game force feedback. I have no dead zone.
