BTW, if you feel the GT2 is light years ahead of the G25 then you might find the T500 orgasmic ;) - it accomplishes the same thing the GT2 does without any need for adjustability

Am under impression T500 doesn't permit linearity and/or rotation adjustments.

Install works fine on my side:

NB: "ForceFeedback" in "Test Forces" page is just incredible :dopey:

Tried quickly in "GTR EVOLUTION" with these settings :

* Modified a G25 Profile (with new configuration of buttons & axes):

* Modified ForceFeedback settings like this:

Result looks like Fantastical!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Standard FFB library tests. I care not for how it works with their test app, I know I am only interested in how it works in-game ;)

Did you try turning off the plug in you talked about? That may be what's causing the sloppy FFB. I don't have that sim, but I would think that since the wheel is new the plug in can't work well with it.

Very true, I think that is going to take some time. But if the library is there and working...well, it at least shows it is available.

in iRacing it feels good..
had a gt3 rs v2 before this and the t500 rs has better ffb effects imo.. tested the ford falcon and the williams fw31 on spa.. I think, nice ffb effects.

I am 45 minutes into rFactor and the results are soso... meh at best.

Trying a couple customisztions in the Historex mod and the results so far are not very promising.

Lots of missing FFB effects. Vague feedback when present. It might be that the RealFeel plugin (whihc works well with G25 and with GT2 BTW) may not be happy with the T500?

Either way, I am getting no tactile feedback from full front wheel lockups other than squeels and smoke. The wheel is not letting me know much.

I am dialing down forces to try get something positive to report ;)

I am doing my testign with a 911S 2.4. Which is a challenge to drive fast under normal circumstances - and the G25 even with its hamfisted and sloppy deadzone is a little better in the tactile feedback department.

This is one test the GT2 is clearly leading at the moment. Go Fanatec.. WooHoo  (not really - Thomas I am still p1ssed I dont have my shifter yet ;))

I've tried also rFactor. Of course I've modify "controller.ini" files for ForceFeedback settings. After this, result is just Great 👍
I will post later my commands lines...

Also tried the wheel now with GTR Evolution with a Ferrari F430 on Monza and the Nordschleife.. Incredible! Thrustmaster did a good joob with the ffb effects.. rFactor not tried because I dont have the game :P

Auuuuu, set the Force strenght to 100 % and tested the ffb effects again..
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT A TOY FOR LITTLE CHILDREN!
I'm uploading a new video at this time.. you can really brake all your fingers when this monster flips around :embarrassed:

lol, get them while they're hot. Someone is going to break their hand and sue TM. Worse, some 3 y/o sticks their arm into one of these things calibrating.

I've also tried these ffb effects inside Control Panel. In fact there is no risk because wheel stop to turn as soon you put your hands on it or inside it :)

Is the same true with the PS3 calibration? I just keep everyone away from it so I have not tried.

Frankly, i worry about it more on the PS3 in the living room. My kids never get close to my gaming PC:)

Yes the same during calibration: wheel stop to turn as soon as you put your hand on it (so no risk). But of course it's not for children (it's clearly notify on box artwork, carton artwork put on the wheel and inside user manual).

Does anyone know (of the US sites) which of them would be the wisest to purchase from if I want to get it here at the house ASAP?
I was thinking of ordering from FRY's, but until I heat otherwise, I'm against the fence.
I'm worried it'll stay on pre-order for months...

Theres one on ebay I see. Its already over 650 max bid.

I called a few store and the earliest shipments come in on the 28th, which really means nothing to me. Maybe they'll actually be back in retail stores by next year. In the meantime, I think its pointless pre-ordering or reserving this thing, as one could become available somewhere else other than where you order it from. = /

Let's not cheer about the drivers too soon.

You have a random chance of the drivers/wheel being totally incorrectly mapped calibrated when you restart your system.

The behaviour of the wheel ssems to be quite varied. Unlike the very mature Logitech than can be plugged in/turned on/repowered on the fly and still have a 99% (I say 99% because one can never say never, but I have never had it not detect for me) chance of being detected and functioning properly, it looks like the T500 may be detected, re-installed by Windows or simply not detected correctly.

The accell/clutch become buttons 13 and 10 or some other odd number.

It seems that Windows at times wants to randomly reinstall the drivers on a fresh startup.

Thrustmaster, you guys need to clean up your driver software. Not what we expect from a high dollar high end peripheral.

What OS? I have not had any issues under Win7 x64.

I also really have no complaints in rFactor except I would like more feel under braking. GTR-E is the best feel so far. Curbs are too weak in GTR2.
