I want a Sagaris. TVR and Aston Martin are the best two car compaines in the world to me.

, I don't have the cash to buy one at the moment. I've been talking to Racing green and I've got moeny for a deposit, I'm very seriousely after a Sagaris. The problem is, from my average profits I can afford to spend £50k this year, but it leaves me, let's just say a little too unstable financially. Last year my average profits would have covered it and more, but I've been doing less work, getting tied up in sorting out things around the house and buying VW Bora's so my average profit has dropped, but it's dropped quite a lot. If I can get it back up, I'd like to have a Sagaris this year, but the sensible side of me is kicking in, what if the profits drop again after I've gone all out to get it and I can't afford to keep it. Problems, problems. I need to get to my holliday in Madira which is a few months away, I haven't had a break in two years.

If I can get an office up and running this year and get a handfull of people working for me, making money for me, I'd be pretty stable financially, but working for myself is seeming like it might be too up and down for me to commit myself to such a big purchase that I don't actually need right now, I might have to wait a few more months, I will get one it's just a question of when. Another concern is I'll get into a position to get one and the Typhon will suddenly appear a more attractive aquisition. It doesn't help that can spend a lot of money quickly, sometimes on things likle treating the missues, but sometimes on rubbish I'll never actually use.

I haven't been on holiday for 7 years now :( so it could be worse for you :D

Does anyone know what you've to expect from the upkeeps? I should rob a bank...

You could always sell your VW Borings, and make do with a week in Blackpool. :D
I'd need the Bora for day to day stuff and Charlotte having the 306 is great because I don't have to drive her to places and she doesn't have to take the car and leave me stranded at home. I couldn't use a TVR as an everyday car.

Besides that, the Bora would barely cover the insurance, and the Bora's a good car, well built, fast, decent space inside, reliable ect.

Fair enough.

What about a Tasmin? Classic insurance, and it's still a TVR. :sly:

Yeah but it's going to cost a lot on repairs and maintenence, that said, it wouldn't be much compared to running a Sagaris, I'd get a 450 over a Tasmin but if I was going for older TVR, I like the styling of the V8S and the S3 a lot more, but they're not classic insurance but a lot cheaper to run, I suppose I could get a Griffith. I want to stay away from AJP8 models though so Cerbera's barring the Speed 6 are a general no.

Didn't they phase out the Rover V8 by the time the Cerbera came out? I'm sure by then only the Griffiths and the Chimera's were using them, the V8S being withdrawn in 1993.

Yep, the Griffith and Chimera used the Rover V8, the Cerbera used the AJP8 barring the Cerbera Speed Six which used the AJP6. I'd have an AJP6 engined model but then your looking at high initial costs and high insurance. Cost less in the long run than an AJP8 though.

I've heard the Cerbera Speed 6 2+2 model's the best for general road use, being able to take 4 quite comfotably, and with it's 6 speed tranny, it's apparently a good motorway mucher too (although why you would by a Cerbera as a motorway car is beyond me.)

Unless of course you took it for a spin on the Autobahn. :sly:

You can get a Speed Six from around £25k, which is affordable, I think I preffer the Griffiths looks, in a TVR I wouldn't need 4 seats really. I'm so torn, it's painful.

Either way I won't be buying a TVR until the latter half of the year, I just need to make my mind up on which one, I was set in stone for a Sagaris but financially it's becoming less viable the more days go by.

My morning job is just that, a morning job, my works usually done in 2-3 hours I get paid for 4, theres no need for me to be there any longer. Other than that I work for myself, so it's a case of how much I do for myself that determine how much cash I have to spend, the morning job I have just pays my bills.

The Cerbera has, yes, both Speed Six and 4.5 models. The Speed Six GTO raced the lastf ew years of the Cerbera's competition life, before that there was the Cerbera GT2 that raced from 1995, then in 1998 it got changed due to rule changes, then the Cerbera GT2 EVO came on the scene in late 1998, and then the Cerbera Speed Six GTO started racing in 2000.

TVR King most likey me you, TVR Mad and Live4speed are the biggest TVR fans on here.

gt4005, that first vid is the TVR Tuscan Challenge racer, a completely different car to the road going Tuscan and the Tuscan GT racers worth Googling TVR Tuscan challenge if your interested in info on them.

Oh thank you! Yes I'm very intertested in this info. Thanks a lot mate! Had a great moment yesterday when an Aston Martin DB7 passed me! In green. Have to say a really nice car. Ok it's a british one :) Not a TVR but an astonishing car.

When I get time I'm going to make a Wikipedia page all about the TVR Speed 12's, from it's first Project 12/7 concept to the Cerbera Speed 12 in it's current form under its current owner. Might take a while to do though, but I was shoked that there was no proper Speed 12 info there, bit's and info on the engine but nothing much about the cars.

Excellent. I've yet to see a detailed page on the Speed 12.

It's stupid really, especially as it's a car that's managed to get in 3 Gran Turismo games, Forza Motorsport, and was even involved in professional racing. (I saw a race where it managed to get from near the back of the grid, to 3rd place in 3 laps, before it's head gasket went. :()

Don't forget Gt4005. :)

Well I'm not as into in TVR as you but I like this car manufacturer and their cars thats true :)

I found a website from the TVRCC Challenge. Maybe I can find some videos this would be greast. The cars look good (sorry if I'm repeating myself) and the sound is just  and

You probably know this site: http://www.tvr-car-club.co.uk/
