Just to get the debate moving - I added the premium '90 Fiat suggestion to the list, but I'm inclined to disagreee with it. Of all the car's I'd want to be upgraded, a little 40 hp hatchback is near the bottom of the list.

I think the hardware support should come first. Specifically....The G25/G27 support NEEDS to come sooner than later.

The ability to tweak dead zones, etc. needs to arrive - period. This oversight is almost unforgivable.

Haha go ahead and remove it, I was just joking. It already loojs okay as a standard :D

if gran turismo really wants to expands his market/popularity (nascar sucks) make more research of rare/historic cars from america and europe (examples: dodge spirit dohc, 90's ford thunderbird sc, lotus omega, ford escort costworth, gmc thyphoon, the first 90's taurus sho and not the ugly one, more generation of mustangs, all the vw golfs generations, the corrado is missing, more M BMW's ), less multimple versions of same skylines, same civics etc...

more world real life tracks (like mexican "Rodríguez Brothers Racetrack" :D)

more classic gt tracks

more car customization

the track, grass etc.. with more imperfections,(actual asphalt&grass looks very "brand new" and looks a little irrealistic ) even more realistic smoke, more detailed graphics.

and the most important thing! a reliant robin!

I'm changing this one to "more balanced car list".

I have a 40" 1080p TV, Expensive brand new HDMI cable and the graphics look brilliant, the only jaggies I sometimes see are in shadows but the framerate is so flawless that its not even a big deal.

You guys complaining about graphic issues need to stop nitpicking.

OK, to keep the debate going again, is there any opposition to the re-inclusion of FPV and the Accent Rally?

Also,

more rims and they must cycle

Really? Putting new cars on a cycle is one thing, but rims? Really?

Nevermind about my earlier post on Graphics, the jaggies in the shadows are horrendous in some cars. iRacing did updates for shadows I am sure GT5 can do it as well, lets hope they do its a real eye burger.

As others said, i'll be enjoying the game for at least 2 or 3 months before i come to any conclusion concerning cars, tracks, or content in general.

However, even if i find the game awesome, i think it has some flaws that can certainly be corrected in a reasonably short time and with little effort from Polyphony :

* game save protection MUST BE REMOVED, i don't want to loose my progress, cars settings, etc. if my PS3 dies after 500 hours of GT5 :scared:
* ability to toggle HUD on/off
* full support of G25/G27 with proper calibration options, dead zones, button config, etc
* online lobbies : HP and weight restrictions (i didn't see this option, correct me if it's there)

i play sims on my pc, i like heavy feedback, stronger spring centering, makes me feel more of the car imo. But I doubt they will change physics.

Some PS3 saves are locked to a specific PSN/User account and can be backed up, but not loaded unless you are using that same account. Why would a game company not allow you to back up your saves when this is possible, you ask? Well they're either idiots or assholes, that's why...

Citta Di Aria - godly street-track that for me beats the Nurburgring...
Porsche - I want 911 RSR's!!!
B-Spec Speed back-up...
Weather for all tracks...

POINT to POINT OPTION RE-ADDED TO THE COURSE MAKER!!!! THERE WAS A DEMO OF IT, WHY DID THEY TAKE IT OUT!!!!!

What about the cars its missing! Yes its missing a ffew suprises, but these 3 rally are a suprise to me!

Audi TT RS
VW Sirocco
VW Golf Mk6

-Fix the bug that when you are waiting for the start in a rally stage and you turn your head that the cheering of the public starts over and loops everytime you look left -right -left - right.

okay i wanted to start an similiar thread, but you guys ask a lot of stuff that's not so relevant and easy to achieve like making new car models ect. ;-)

So i'll begin with my list, maybe not all so important, but just what i noticed:

- If you start a race, and you forgot i.e. to set-up your car, you have to go all back to Main-menu and start all-over again
- Should be easier to skip the award screen if your doing license and want to go gold
- Traction Control is activated on Sebastian Loeb challenge, seems strange to me..
- Brake Bias is always 50/50 (i don't think real cars have it like that ?)
- I can't go to A-Spec screen and take a look what car i should buy when i currently have the PDI Kart activated..
- If there is a problem to connet to the server, game freeze for 30 second until timeout when exiting A-Spec menu
- I always here the same background music in the menu ?
- It should be easier to filter cars, like in GT4, i miss power-to-weight filter
- In Online mode, it should be possible only the room owner starts the race, also in regulations it should be possible to set a power limit, in tire restrictions Racing-Soft are missing.
- Turn off annoying spanish people talking whilst online-race ??

See you on the track, cheers.

On an off-chance this is read by PD crew, these are things that really annoy me personally:

- Check the pad controller code for bugs. Occasionally (not all the time but quite often) the steering gets stuck in the opposite lock when the car is sliding and as a result the car will overcorrect itself to the wrong direction regardless of what I do with the controller. Whether this is a feature or a but I don't know, but it's really frustrating nevertheless. I don't recall this issue in the GT Academy demo which leads me to believe that this is a bug.

- Give advanced users more pad configuration options; It would be awesome to have the analogue stick act a steering wheel without steering aids I can't turn off (speed sensitivity etc.), with adjustable sensitivity and possibly non-linear lock. They might make life easier but I would prefer a more direct steering that would allow me to get everything out of the physics engine and just learn to live with the potential lack of stability.

There are other minor issues but those I can live with if the driving itself works.

The 2 major important things are:
Adjust the G25/ G27 clutch /gearshift debounce speed (that is the amount of milliseconds the game will accept as a clean shift, so if you shift so fast the debounce speed is under 20ms you will get neutral and a frustrated driver.
So if you make it accept say 10ms that will still stop flat shifting but allow people who use the clutch for a real feel in the game won't be left frustrated getting neutral every 4 or 5 shifts, just because it's a smidgen faster then last time.

The 2nd is have in the options the ability to turn off all the driving aids, so that when a race loads you don't have to go into the setting before every single race turn off TC and ABS. For some reason it remembers all the others like driving line, spin recovery etc, but just those 2 do not get the message.

Car wise I think many people would love to see...

Groundbreaking and epic British performance road cars... like

Escort Cosworth
Sierra RS500
Fiesta RS
(many more important British Ford road cars.)

Same goes for America. Classic American cars which are in many peoples eyes fundamentals to motorsport.

Many more new and old European cars which are important too like
VW Sirocco.
BMW M3's.
VW Golfs.

I'd like to see the Pro & Standard physics option return, with the GT Academy TT physics model for Pro & the current one for Standard, I really don't like the 1 size fits all dumbed down physics model we have been given. It feels nuetered & has lost most of the feel compared to Prologue & the TT demo, I cannot play it anymore as the joy I felt through my G25 from previous bulids has all but gone.

I also agree with the vast majority of suggestions in this thread, so shall not repeat them.

If you go to the wheel settings you can change the setting to Simulation. The default setting is for beginners. Next step is to turn off the "Skid Recovery System" AKA Standard physics.

Make ***ALL CARS*** available in Arcade Mode either with a Patch - This is the method that would be preferred

or

Charge $10.00 for a Special Patch that us Impatient ( Busy Scheduled ) People can Purchase to Unlock them All at Once - This is the Method that would get U some Major Dough

Fix the damn awful shadows! They are so poor it really annoys me. In any replay the shadows glitch all over the place and it totally ruins the realism. Increase the shadow samples back to what they were in GT5: Prologue and I will be 100% happy with this game.

I will keep banging this drum until it's fixed. :ouch:
