The University Thread

So earlier on this thread I moped the hell outta my last year. Ended fishie year with a 2.00 GPA.

So after that happened:

I retook my history class last summer, which replaced the F with an A.

I now have a 2.68 GPA.

In order for me to transfer to the university I want to go to, I'll need a 3.00 GPA by the end of sophomore year.

I started the year yesterday, and made an A on my PreCal beginning exam.

I'm off to a good start on getting my 🤬 together, I guess.
So freaking scary. Hovering on above 2.7 minimum and thats the first year. God knows what comes next.

Its akin to throw the money into the trash if fail, right?

Good to hear that you are changing your ways. Keep it up and things will get better for you! 👍

I got a 85% on my first college paper (My first I've taken in college but I've taken a college-level paper before) :D

And look what I found and got a chance to drive:

One more week before my second year of university starts.

Meh. I'm mildly bored just sitting at home, and yet I'm not ready for the influx of homework just yet either.

I guess that I can actually post in here. Last year was my first year of college. I went to a state school to study Automotive Engineering on the way to trying to do something chassis related in the future. Well, I couldn't stand the classes. My grades reflected this and I finished last year with a 1.25 gpa. Just appalling. The only course all year I enjoyed was the public speaking course as we got to get up in front of everyone and talk and ad-lib through some things while others were more formal speeches. I'm not attending this year but I'm going to be changing my degree when I head back either to a theatre and performing arts degree or some sort of English thing.

Are there any jobs in those fields? I know that I'll have to work for at least a bit after I graduate.

My Math 110 class is appalling. I hate Math in general but this just amplifies it.

Good news though, I apparently won another scholarship. I don't know how much it's for yet but they said it'll be between $1k and $5k.

My English is a chemistry lab -> which is from 8:40 - 10:40 on wooden stools, and the next class Chemistry is in the same room from 10:50 to 12:05. My ass hurts... Its brutal. Then thursdays is when i have lab so

8:40 - 10:40 -> 10:50 to 12:05 -> 1:40 - 4:30 on those wooden stools.. welp.

Got swamped with work Week 1 (now it's week 5) and never got to work on one of my business classes, so I just found out they dropped me w/o notice. Normally for an online class, there's some sort of minimal contact between student/teacher but apparently I never got any notice until yesterday...

Found the class I hate for the semester: Math 110. I was never a huge fan of Math but the way this class is setup makes me absolutely hate it. We have to spend 3 hours in a lab doing math work. I'm much better at math when there's an actual person there to go through the equations and such. Oh ell, I guess I'll have to stop complaining and crack down.

When you studied for weeks preparing for a quiz only to forget some stuff on quiz day.

Made a low C on my second quiz. HUEGH. I still have eight more quizzes to go, so I shouldn't let this put me down hard.

Two and a half months into my placement and I don't miss uni at all. Going back will be tough; I'll miss having a salary and I'll miss the routine. That said, students have it so incredibly easy. I'll appreciate uni so much more now that I've lived in the real world.

Well. I got a really busy doing college, in and out. Its a miracle that i can post here at all.

Anyway, my card used to absent has gone missing. Now i have to write an apology letter to the mentor :( Darn im very tired by now.

Not me.

I am partly satisfied with me because I am going to pass all my subjects with 80+/100 except for one: Math which I'm on the edge of either passing or repeating the subject next semester. :ouch:

End Semester on January here.

Also hes most likely panicked and busy. Shouldve been reserved my judgement.

On what year, @Daniel?
Second semester of second year.

Left the exam 45 minutes early. Some of the questions were the exact same as the ones on a past paper.
