My theory is that it's the dynamic range compressor kicking in, like it used to for tyre sounds and nearby racing exhausts.

If you're using the "living room" setting, try "small theatre".

Really annoyed about the added wind noise too. The only other car that this affects is the Alpine VGT. I checked road cars that have airbrakes (Veyron, Huayra) and they don't make the noise. I think it's a cool touch, but PD should tone it down a little so it doesn't overpower the engine sound.

The Alpine already did that before.

I mean on the straights. Before, it didn't but after looking at the replay, the Alpines have more of that popping going on the straights.

I'm pretty sure it did that before. I spent some time cruising with the car in chase cam just to hear it when I first noticed the popping some time ago. Here's a video from the Alpine seasonal event, where you can hear the popping:

Now hear it in this video:

There seems like its more pronounced and there's even abit more that's barely audible.

OK, it seems to be more noticeable now. I thought you were saying the popping was something new, added in this update. My bad then.

Its all good, I meant to put more in my original post (Keyboard is giving me fits right now) so that's what more then likely threw you off.

...is anyone else weirded out by the fact that there's no side glass on this car? :odd:

From the A-pillars, it's just a sealed canopy, straight back. I'd feel claustrophobic, driving a car like that in real life.

Actually, its heavily tinted glass.

yeah, no exhaust noise on downshifting here either,
it sounds awesome when the camera is following the car on acceleration or even throttle,
i was expecting barking and popping, but nothing.. nada

does it when you get to the rev limiter too, just goes quiet...

Mine is black..?
was an option when awarded the car after the seasonal

On the upside, I tuned mine for 600pp and it's second to my FXX on SS tires around Sierra.

I am at 8:21.5 at the moment.

Is it? I thought it was a solid body panel, since the color changed with the rest of the body color.

I used the cockpit view and you can actually see outside those. I think there's even a photo someone posted here.

I'd love to drive this car but for some reason my PS3 refuses to update at all, so I decided to just put that old thing away and wait for the probably-in-2017-coming GT7

Apparently this oversteers? Good, most VGT seem to think taking a corner is a crime that should be punished by understeer forever till GT7 is out.

Can't wait to try this.

The infiniti certainly thought taking a corner without smoking tyres was a crime.

The Lexus LF-LC VGT also enjoys the act of going sideways, even though it does betray its racing car character a bit. And of course, the Aston Martin DP-100 REALLY enjoys getting sideways... Just to name a few.

My favorite cars are Dodge Vipers. When I saw the teaser pic half a year ago for SRT, I thought to myself, 'Y'know, it'd be weird to even imagine it, but what if SRT makes a Red Bull-esk Dodge Viper? BWAHAHA! Ridiculous!'

... Now that I see the Tomahawk X, that thought doesn't seem so strange. Heck, if the trailer doesn't lie, I'm thinking the VGT might even be faster than the Red Bull...

I should mention that I am literally shaking right now. Nothing makes me shake this much except something this big...
