Remember in a previous post how I said the 2X was to GT6 what the Red Bull was to GT5?

I spoke too soon. The SRT is to GT6 what the Red Bull was to GT5.

Car sounds same as driving one window open on AC equipped car on higher speeds. Point of sound is cabin=cockpit.

Ah, it's the "new wind noise" issue, right? Yes, it does get annoying after a while, but I guess that is the aftermath of the updated brake flap noises due to them being so important on the SRT Tomahawk.

Just saw this on youtube:

I thought they were PS3 only?

And once again, someone has confused the VW Design Vision with the VGT cars that Volkswagen released. No, that is not a VGT, it's an older real-life VW concept that has also appeared as DLC for Driveclub. VW's actual VGTs are exclusive for the game, but this isn't a VGT to begin with, so that's why other games can use it.

From today's press day with Peugeot.

Ah, Peugeot did a scale model of their car, that's always nice to see. It's unfortunate that is not a 1:1 size scale model, but it's nice enough. It's just a pity that the car doesn't drive as nicely as it should, in my honest opinion... It feels that PD wanted it to be both a sports car and a LMP at the same time, but in reality they ended up making a car that does not excel at either class, making it too stiff to be a sports car and too awkward to be a racer. It needs some tweaking before it can actually utilize its potential, in my view.

I agree Niku Driver HC! The handling is a bit strange and I really don't understand that Peugeot , who loves the sporty side :D, doesn't release a racing version and who doesn't release a livery of the car with the Peugeot Sport design.

They could, and they should've done just that. While I admire Mr. Vidal's idea of blending different car ideas (i.e. the Sports Prototype and the GT codes), PD may not be quite up to the task of blending said ideas ingame. Heck, Peugeot created sketches for a "possible" racing version of the car, which can be seen in the car's ingame page, so I don't really see why couldn't they release a car like that.

The SRT is a better example; yes, the fact that the Tomahawk has three versions may be seen as a way of padding the car count for some people, but it also means that PD has the goals well set in front of them. The S is for street specifications, the GTS-R is for racing purposes, and the X is for "why the f:censored:k not, it sounds cool to us" purposes. Granted, that doesn't mean that PD can't mess things up and ruin the settings, but at least they know what car is meant for which purpose...

Whilst I don't love it's handling, I've found it easy to underestimate it's performance. I test VGT's bone stock, and the Pug is still coming in only a second or two behind the LM55, but comfortably ahead of the other VGT's.. 2X aside.

Sure it could go faster with a tune, but it's already a serious contender as it is... It just doesn't feel nice to drive.

A well-made point, Matski, I don't argue with the fact that it has potential. In fact, I think it would be an incredible car and perhaps one the best "realistic" VGT cars alongside the Volkswagen Roadster, but it doesn't have that good driving feel that it needs to reach that level. The speed and lightness are there, but there is no proper connection between the two. It just feels like that; disconnected.

I disagree.
The car is brilliant to drive and it feels like a piece of properly good engineering

Crème Anglaise and Battenberg...

It's a Marzipan coated chequered flag drenched in the vanilla custard of victory.

I'm amazed how they got the glossy effect on that car shaped cake.

Ok, that's more like it, plenty of French cuisine references all over the place.

Be careful not to eat it though, lest you want to lodge a rear wing on your throat and choke to death...

I took an SH Peugeot around the ring and came back with under 6:30. The accel out of corners is so crazy I need to stay on guard all the way through.

How did you paint it black? (I assume you're referring to the Peugeot, which I found to be unpaintable.)
The machine itself comes in black/red accents and underbody, he probably made a mistake.

The car comes in some colors and black was one of them... I did only choose the black color....That wasn't hard :P
Yeah it was pretty well cleared up with the previous post. But who knows? Maybe the Swedes were uniquely able to paint this one. :P
