Under a tornado watch until 9:00 PM. Unlike New York, these are not uncommon here, so we've been lazily watching TV and having a generally lazy Sunday.

Neighbor's tree fell in our backyard today. We lost power, part of our fence, it damaged our brand new gutters. We were the only ones in our neighborhood to lose power and the neighbor who had the tree gave us a power cord so we could power some of the house up until it was fixed. It certainly could have been a lot worse...

Yes we're safe. Also, like I said, it could have been a lot worse. It could have been a tornado that went through and destroyed the neighborhood.
You can also see in that pic that the drain for the gutter got pulled apart. No idea how that happened...
Edit: We also don't have heat, which sucks.

We have a full week of sun ahead of us, which is rare in Vancouver at this time of year. Highs around 6-8C and lows of around 3-0C.

The last few days were ver nice. Mid-high 80's and sunny. But, yesterday and today, it was cloudy, gray and cold. Low-mid 60's and strong chance of rain. Nothing yet, but I'm sure well have a little bit tomorrow.

Heaviest rain in years, and there are lightning and thunder, too
I attached two photos I took when I was waiting for the bus, there was a lot of lighting and thunder at that moment, the quality is poor, and the clouds were more dark than shown in the photos
