No blue in the sky at all! It's all a thick cloud cover. The entire day has been like this. Gray, dark and no sunlight at all. Low 70's and no wind, so it does feel 'warm' and humid at least.

And finally!!!! after more than a month , it started raining, just a bit though, but rain is rain (mind that here, winter is the rain/snow season)

18°C at the day and 12°C right now :D

All hail the wonders of nature.

I went outside this morning around 8:45am and I saw the very first snowflakes descending from the heavens.

Looks like our cold has arrived. ;)

We're only at -4°C here today, with a feel down to -12°C becuase of the 27 km/h east-south-eastern wind. Though from Monday, we should be at plus 0°C. :D

Yes, it has. Cold Danish weather in Belgium.

No snowflakes anymore though.

Planned on going to Detroit Auto show today. But then my uncle and grandpa call this morning and say the roads are too bad to make the trip. Only 3 inches of snow but 30mph wind gusts and they had a 6 hour trip each way. Looks like I'll have to skip the show this year. But hey, I'll get to catch the start of the Daytona 24 on TV now.

I don't remember thunderstorms being part of today's forecast, but we've got a pretty spectacular one coming over right now.

Been told the weather back home in Flintshire is hail and thunderstormy.

By comparison this is what I find myself in, 20-22C:

Must have missed this morning's forecast. Last night we were expecting the odd spell of sunshine and dry conditions.

In contrast, a wall of hailstones just smacked the front of the house leaving the ground outside paved in white. Very intense, but lasted no more than 10 minutes.

I think it was a sudden thing; Wrexham's home game was cancelled about 20 minutes ago, just an hour before kick-off due to a waterlogged pitch.

It did seem to catch everyone off guard here. Not what I'd expect in January at any rate, though we did experience a slightly less intense storm last January IIRC.

35° yesterday with this on its way:

This year is all kinds of messed up.

Blizzard Watch/Warning for Tomorrow with winds in excess of 50 mph are likely with 2-3 inches of snow.

4th Blizzard warning this year (This month)

Super-drought is a concept we don't know in these parts of the world.

A little bit overcast. No more freezing temperatures at night. No rain at the moment.

-16F, feels like -37F. So better than the -55F they were forecasting. Small victories.

-11 when they were forecasted -16
But schools and colleges are closed and roads still report closed/not advised

Yay, -30 where I live near Batavia. :/
That's the storm we just got hit by. Good luck.

We got destroyed on Friday / Saturday by the lake effect snow at the lakeshore. 50mph winds and up to a foot of snow fell in the same night. I have 3 foot to 4 foot snow drifts in my yard. There are buildings by the highway with 6 foot to 8 foot snow drifts. The snow actually drifted above the entrance of the buildings. Those measurements are in FEET!!! Never seen anything like this in my life in 1 night. The bad news is this is only January. February is always the worst part of winter. So this might only be the beginning of what is to come. :dunce:

Good god. We just got a foot and 2 foot drifts this past weekend.

Not one drop. A few drizzles in other SoCal areas, but it was pathetic. Good thing a new rain storm is on the way. Just hope we actually get some this time.

For now, high 70's until then.
