As promised. Here are the 7 FOOT and 8 FOOT snow drifts I was talking about. Had -30f degree wind chills when I was trying to get these pics. So I could only take about 1 pic every couple minutes without my hands turning instantly purple. Insanely cold!
To put these into perspective. The door height on the building is around 6 and a half feet. These snow drifts are easily 7 foot to 8 foot high. Insane.

Also very random...... A tree had at at least 10 blue jays in it. It was 4f degrees with -30f wind chill. And these things were just flying around. We were able to get a pic with 2 blue jays. So strange to see birds flying in this insane temperature. :odd:

Nothing we aren't used to here in WNY . Hell, we've had 35+ foot drifts before.

Broke up the ice on our little pond in the backyard...again. We have to do this once or twice a day.

The ice was about 2 inches thick, and the heater could only burn through about an inch of it around it.

Sunshine is back. Some clouds and a freezing cold wind. Temperatures are still above zero though.

Still snow here, but the ice's finally gone. Currently we're at -2°C but it's supposed to go down to -5°C. :P

Currently -17C going to -5C later.
One day though. -10 to -15C Thursday through who knows when.

Today +3°C but feels like -100°C :nervous:

Bare-skinned humans are not made to live in these harsch conditions. :D

Me don't like much.

Quiet weather at the moment, with -1°C. The snow's still here and it shouldn't go away for at least the next week. We'll see. :P

It's 11am, though you wouldn't think it was by how dark and dull it is outside. 2°C with light drizzle = UK weather in a nutshell.

The rain only lasted for about 10 minutes. Just not enough. Colder than I thought. Low 50's, cloudy and cold wind!

But, we'll get another chance at rain on both Sunday and Monday. We need the rain!!!

when I read this post for the first time, I wondered why is that car stationary? I didn't know what snow drifts were, at first. :D

Weather has been very calm and clear today. Might get another 4-6 inches tomorrow but honestly the weatherman has no idea lately. Could be another foot, could be 1 inch.

Super clear skies today with just a few white puffy clouds. Cold, though. Low 60's to high 50's. Rain is still expected on Monday and Tuesday.

Weather in a Word... Ugly. Mother Nature must be on her worst period, and the Midwest is her target. Currently under a Winter Weather Advisory, and the roads don't look too great here. More snow is in the forecast Tuesday and Wednesday, but it may mix in with freezing rain and sleet. Grrrreeeeaaatttt....
