The last gasp of old man winter (hopefully)!

Here is the info I was talking about for Lake Michigan. Its crazy to see in person. 93% covered in ice. Hasn't happened since 1973. As I have said many times, this is by far the worst winter I have ever seen. Reminds me of a scene from The Day After Tomorrow.

Also as I have said for MANY years the lakes have been slowly drying up year after year in the 20 years I have lived here. This precipitation will bring the water level up in many areas.

This is the type of winter that makes Michigan a great state for wineries (Tabor Hill, Lemon Creek are local for me) and craft breweries that grow their own ingredients. Bell's, Founders, and New Holland Brewery are all from here. In fact, fall of 2012, Bell's did not make their Cherry Stout because the Michigan Cherry crop was quite poor. Bell's wanted to maintain tradition and not use ingredients outside of Michigan. 2013, Cherry Stout was brewed once again!

Never knew that. Is that the reason Oberon (From Bells) is only seasonal? One of my favorite beers besides Guinness.

Yesterday: High of 80°F, low of 51 sunny. Hail/Rain at 8pm and 11pm, Wind Advisory.
Today: High of 55, low of 34; cloudy.

In a blizzard. Nearly a foot down so far. Supposed to get at least 1 more. Pics provided by a local online news site.

Yesterday, I drove home from work with the windows down and Joe Walsh turned up loud. This morning I had no coat on and just had to deal with some rain. On the way home I had on a coat and was driving in snow. A nearly 40 degree temperature drop in 24 hours.

I blame the time change for confusing the weather.

:censored:ing snow.

I just want play baseball:grumpy:

Edit: I guess I should say I want to play baseball outside. Indoor practices get old:grumpy:

High 70's and very windy the last few days. Temps going up, way up for the weekend. High 80's and low 90's. Less wind, though.

Windy and ~10°C, with overcast today. Tonight should bring a storm, so everything outside here've got heavy plants on top, so it doesn't fly away.

Meanwhile in the southern-most city in mainland Australia (Melbourne), the first signs of Autumn are appearing. :(
Was around 30 C / 86F before some storms that produced flash flooding pushed through yesterday.

Today is cold, clear and windy with a max of only about 20 C / 68F
This coming week should be just nice and sunny with day temperatures between 21 C/ 28 C about 70F / 82F

Bit of sleet/Fzn Rain this morning, Possible 4-6 inches of snow Tuesday night.
70s by april?

Mid-high 70's tomorrow with clouds, but 10° cooler by the weekend. Foggy, overcast and a chance of drizzle. June Gloom in March!

It was snowing yesterday, but today it's suddenly +11 C. This March is crazy. :D

Everything melt down in one morning.
When I first went outdoors today, I was wearing a warm jacket and looked like an idiot - too hot. :D

I was hoping Minneapolis would be warmer than Fargo. After walking from IKEA to the Mall of America, I can confirm that it isn't.
