Enjoyed today's weather. Thunder, lightning, rain, then hail, then rain, then all sunny. Then...back to rain. :D

And a photo taken at work. Luckily...my car didn't get damaged.

The weather the last few days has been great. I finally got the chance to use my smoker. But, it's not going to last. More high humidity and higher temps are coming. The last few days have been in the mid-high 80's with no humidity. Just perfect and a bit cooler than normal.

However, it's been the hottest year SoCal has ever had. Also, the driest.

Looks like hurricane Bertha has missed us out. Just some rain overnight and slightly higher winds. I thought I was going to wake up to a tempest this morning but there was just blue sky and some whispy clouds. Weather radar shows that it's gone NE over the UK and on towards the North Sea.

Yesterday was hot 99°. The humidity is going up. I can feel it now when I went out for stogie. The next few days are going to be horrible. High temps with high humidity. Bleh.

FINALLY after about 3 weeks of a drought, we have rain!!!!! All my hard work on the Garage and house over the last 2 months is finally paying off. :)

Finally getting some rain up here in the northern part of the mitten...and a LOT of it. I'm looking at between 1.5" and 2", maybe a little more if we get a thunderstorm with it. I'm reading reports that it's pretty bad down in the Detroit area, with several roads, as well as the interstates being closed because of flash flooding.

Rained for about 16 hours yesterday. Much needed. However my observation about fall coming soon is beyond correct. I noticed leaves starting to change already, my golf course grass is starting to go dormant, lilies are turning brown at the bottom, and Hibiscus are in full bloom. Plus it was only about 60 degrees today compared to 85 a couple days ago.

Fall / winter is truly right around the corner. I need to get my house, garage, and yard worked finished asap. I have less than a month at this point before the cold hits.

So Summer has departed the UK and two words which should never be put together have been muttered on the news August Snow :( Also we have had all our months rainfall in two weeks.

Hopefully it will be a hot September/October like some previous years.

Friday was the worst day. Very high temps and very high humidity. But, it's cooler and the humidity is going way down. It's low-mid 90's and the humidity is a lot lower. Not perfect, but a lot better.

Just arriving home from beach. The water was a bit cold but it was great. This summer is being colder than the past years but this day was great. Also my birthday :D

29ºC (clear sky) and the water 17/18ºC

Stoopid hot, right now. 99° and very high humidity! We're expecting big thunderstorms tomorrow, actually. Can't go outside to enjoy a stogie!

I was supposed to be camping during my week off. Thanks to the rain, I'm at home cleaning out the garage.

Stupid rain.

Going to get some Spring weather here after tomorrow, Temps getting to 19C / 66F for a few days in a row, not bad for what's still technically winter!

Today, it has either rained really hard or not rained at all. Well, at least we got some rain that we desperately needed.

Currently 76 Degrees F and supposed to be 83 Degrees today. That is good (especially since it isn't supposed to rain) because I have to watch my nephew do some obstacle course thing in a couple hours.

It was an active day in my neck of the woods. It made it up to the mid 80's F before some severe storms rolled through, with 2 confirmed tornadoes in northern lower Michigan. Most of the damage was trees, but the preliminary report between the 2 has about 2 dozen homes damaged. Luckily there were no injuries or worse reported.

[EDIT] 2 more were confirmed by the NWS following a storm survey today (02-SEP-2014), bringing the total to 4. 3 were rated EF-1 (weak) and the 4th was an EF-0 (weak). Still no injuries, just some structural damage. More severe weather is possible in my neck of the woods on Thursday. It got active after what was a quiet summer.
