Going to be a decent week temperature wise. Looks like the heat is returning just in time for New Years though. Typical.

Fingers crossed for some rain and not so much of the thunderstorm part, tomorrow. Lightning is not good considering how dry everything is.

Atlanta couldn't get snow on Christmas if our lives depended on it!
We've had a cold, rainy, 30's and 40's the last few days.
Christmas forecast... 68 and sunny...

Yeah, I honestly can’t remember a winter where the highs weren’t 50 or lower.
Now its in the 70s? I just wish my clutch would’ve been delivered last week to take the Duc out..

A major winter storm is expected this weekend from Kansas all the way up to the Canadian border. Currently they're predicting 12-18 inches of snow for us :indiff:

Last night it was 46°F, which was the record for New Year's Eve
and then it snowed, and dropped over 30 degrees. Yes, this year's winter season is nuts

Still bloody hot but at least this week isn't going to be 40°C+ everyday. Fingers crossed for some rain over the next couple of days.

Are you safe from the bush fires?

Haven't been affected by any, so far (knock on wood). Where I am isn't close to any big national parks thankfully. It's pretty open country. If something was to happen, it hopefully won't be as bad as some of the big fires on the coast of NSW and Vic. Fingers crossed anyway...:nervous:

How about yourself? SA has had some bad stuff from what I've seen on the internet. Stay safe mate. 👍

So far so good mate, kangaroo island is getting the worst of it and the Adelaide Hills copped a lot a few weeks ago.

I live in a small town called shea-oak log, which is mainly farm land so I will have plenty of time to get out is I need to.

Where about do you live?

You to mate, stay safe

I'm just south of Tamworth in a little place called Quirindi.

Waiting for Summer to hurry up and finish. Bring on the cooler weather.
Nice part of the country over there, yeah bring on the snow. (I go skiing most years)
You've had some warm weather this week, last Sunday it was 18 and raining and today 41 :odd: silly weather

Winter is finally here.

~30°F with a "wintry mix" lasting all day, turning into 3-6" of snow and ice overnight.

We're already having flooding issues and it's not even Spring yet!

The pictures in that link are all within walking distance of my apartment, thankfully I'm not at risk but other's are. It certainly caused me to take a second look when crossing the bridge on my way home though.

That's all that warmth we had before it got a bit snowy.
Should I mention Friday?

Just hopefully the spring isn't really bad, I don't want to go north in the southbound lane again.

Another fairly hot day after this one and then by the looks of it, hopefully anyway, some rain. I'm not holding my breath too much though. We'll see what happens.

Winter Storm Watch for the area for Friday into Saturday.
Looking like 8-10 up to 12" with isolated blizzard conditions Saturday.

If only @TB can take this storm.
