The Wikipedia Challenge

Rubik's Cube -> Ming Thai -> Living People -> Eddie Izzard

wow... too easy I guess 👍
heh, that living people category is practically cheating. Anyone anywhere who's ever made the news (and isn't dead, obviously) is in there.

edit: I'm going to argue that you must've had at least one more link in there:
Rubik's Cube -> Minh Thai -> Living People -> Iz -> Eddie Izzard

Do fake people :D

I've been watching this thread, so here's one of my own I came up with then.

Kimi Räikkönen --> Mai Kawasumi
(might need a little research on the latter one, so I've provided a link.) Completely random but entirely doable. My record's 7 links. Good luck :)

Is it cheating doing it backwards?

Mai > January 29th > Jody Scheckter > McLaren > Kimi

It doesn't work forwards as Mai isn't mentioned in the Jan 29th page...

That's an impressive link with the January 29th! 👍 I'd take that, as I suppose that it'd be tricky to get a forward link to Mai as it'd require prior knowledge (such as the fact that she stems from visual novel and most importantly anime Kanon, which can be pretty easily linked to once you find your way to Japan)

Hey just wondering... would it be cheating to edit the page to include a link to the ending page then use that? :D Not that I could do it anyway, as my school (only internets I have left) has been banned from editing Wikipedia.

Oops, sorry. I suppose since you were the only one to go ahead, you can go ^^

Here's how I did it a little quicker:
Kimi-->(Any Japanese GP)-->Japan-->Anime-->Anime of the 2000s (near the bottom)-->Kanon-->Mai
One less link than you, but still a good effort.

I'll get cracking on the Nismo one when I have some time.

Well I guess I'll go.....

How about Nismo --> Edward Gibbon

Nismo -> 2005 -> List of centuries -> 18th Century(#Significant_people)
I was at this point that I felt close to adding Edward Gibbon to the list, but decided that would be cheating. Only joking! :P
(This does point out the possible ways in which one could take advantage of the editability of Wikipedia, though.)

Back on the links, though:
18th Century(#Significant_people) -> Thomas Paine -> Category:1737 Births -> Edward Gibbon.
That's 6 clicks in total.
Wow, I haven't posted for aaages.

You did it in the same number of clicks as I did but I did it a little differently

Nismo --> Nissan 240SX --> FR layout --> 1973 Oil Crisis --> Western Europe --> Decline of the Roman Empire --> Edward Gibbon

So I guess its your go.

You must know it, try to navigate by the hyperlinks from one Wikipedia page to another. This can be a competition to see who can do it in the fewest clicks. When you finish, show your route in a spoiler text so other competitors can see your route, without spoiling it for those who want to do it.
Like this.

ROUND 1

International Space Station to Dappy

International Space Station > Russia > UK > Music Of The United Kingdom > Adele > The Xfactor > Tulisa Contostavlos > Dappy
8 steps.

International Space Station → Russian language → Greek language → Greek diaspora → Dappy

4 links for International Space Station → Dappy.

Can you use the "related" templates on the bottom of the page?

EDIT:

Got the same as beeblebrox:

Aircraft Carrier>Indian Navy>India>Indian Grand Prix

But I could use one of the links in the "categories related to India template" to use Sports in India instead of beeblebrox's "India".
