Doesn't sound stupid at all, especially since that is what it appears to be like in GT PSP.

...and Yamauchi said we will also see stuff adopted from GT PSP.
So "skypath" is not equal "track", but "event"?

So "skypath" is not equal "track", but "event"?

Then what does that say about the second wind, which talks about eight dozen skypaths? 80 events?

I still think "skypath" means "track" and either amar was wrong or something was lost in translation somewhere from PD.

Amar posted 20 tracks with 60 layouts. Kazunori said Japanese website information was true...there would be 60 tracks 20 layouts.

Errr, tell that to a car dealer or an auto manufacturer.

I doubt it matters in Gran Turismo, so...

It's in response to Turn10's 6 variations on a single track adding to the overall track count.

GT does count reverse tracks as tracks, even though it's the same one. However, I still count the reverse versions as tracks, because they add a whole new level of difficulty. So does a corner or two added in a track. Tourist Trophy was a great example of that, Infineon and Tsukuba were a pain to drive with those differences. I can't see why doesn't the same applies to Forza.

I'm still boggled about why do people constantly quote Forza in a GT5 dedicated forum. :boggled:

Eight dozen is not 80, its 96.

Amar didnt post 20 tracks with 60 layouts, the official site stated this according to several accurate translations.

For the same reasons people quote Shift, GRiD and pretty much every other racer under the sun - because it's there for a comparison.

I reckon that:

"Second wind says there will be more than half of dozen hundreds birds flying in the beginning of the reunion on almost eight dozen of skypaths, and some of the birds will come from the past reunion just resembling the looks of the newborn birds."

More than 600 cars. That turned out to be true. If amar212 says "almost" eight dozen, then I'm sure it's under 96 tracks. The exact number, however, it's impossible for us to know. Yet.

EDIT:

Terrorium-12: Yeah, but a comparison of what? Especulations? GT5 hasn't been even released yet. Especulations are especulations, and just that. They come and go with time. What can be true today based on a especulation may become false tomorrow based on another one.

You see, Tapey's comment was unnecessary. Not completely, since it gives us a wider definition of track. But DaveTheStalker, by saying "we can one up them" was completely unnecessary, because it didn't make sense, as I pointed out, it isn't a valid argument. You can't compare a varition in color to a variation of a track. What difference makes a color in a race? In Gran Turismo.

Just top already! In a blazing wind storm there is mass confusion and panic. Once the storm subsides and the sun is shining, all will be clearly seen.

#7 wind?

Anyways, you are right. Maybe I should stay away from this and just watch. That would be the wisest thing to do, and I'm sure most members will prefer it that way. 👍

maybe third tale hints that actual real races like Rally Toscana and JGTC will be apart of GT mode, But this time its official like official tracks and a full grid of same year cars?

You Sir, deserve an E-Cookie.

And a glass of E-Milk also!:sly:

Eat up and Drink up, Kid. Its gonna be a long 9 days.

No offence to milk and cookies but.....

Whats the chances of 'the winds' all being resolved by the end of the TGS.

They are definately a great read, but as Amar, Jordan and many other insiders have concluded, TGS is going to be the place for either major GT5 news, or a full reveal.

The bit that i love about the winds is that, we as a group, we now seem to be more confused on some of the topics than we were when they were first posted.

Winds:

#1 : We still cannot truely be sure of this, we have yet to recieve a release date. Although on the back of poor GTPSP reviews, i think PD may use TGS to build up more hype for the GT brand, and interconnectivity, and by doing so hope to improve reviewers opinion.

#2 : We're pretty sure about the 1000 cars, but tracks, theres a lot of discussion on the number of tracks. Unfortunately, most discussion is negative.

#3 : I'm still not clear on this one. In fact im more confused than ever.

#4 : Pretty much confirmed and expected about voice chat, private rooms. All good.

#5 : One version of the game? Two versions of the game? If anything is mentioned at the TGS, i really hope this is cleared up. I dont want to pre-order the wrong version!

#6 : As seen by Amars text, this is clearly PSP orientated. A nice clear answer to this riddle.

/rant over :)

The track editor does fit, due to the fact that one of the winds is talking about "user" created skypath... will see, if that particular wind turned up to be true.....

Making a note- 12 hours until TGS. This thread is on page 156. I am betting it will be over 200 pages in 24 hours, easily. After GamesCon it gained over 70 pages in that time span.

On topic- edit- lol, I read to quickly, I sort of combined two winds. Anyways, I was thinking he implied that the 2 new GT games (GTmobile and GT5) would be released at once, and obviously they arent.

Little Big Planet was all about being creative and building your own levels so no reason why this cannot be done with GT5.

I could program this so easy in GT5 as I'm a whiz kid with anything technical.

I can actually write the words OIL etc on a calculator by just using the numbers - you have to hold the calculator upside down mind to read it though.

Amazing.

question is, do you really want to make your own track in what is supposed to be the real driving simulator?
if I had the possiblity, I would just go all childish and make tracks down mount everest...💡
