If this is true and means we can set up every time we want (and not just pre defined), its gonna be epic. I already do this in GTL, when theres night in real life i also drive my trainings sessions etc. at night.

I stumbled across this old thing where PD did a laser modelling of the Art Morrison Corvette and here's the interesting part:

"They took video of me going through the gears, and the starting sequence of the car. Turning the wheel. Setting the e-brake. Pulling the hood release. Hi-beam Lo-beam. Everything."
So I think we will finaly have the opportunity to turn the headlights on and off :)
If we're lucky maybe we get hand animation of doing that

I doubt that, they probably did that to take photos and see how the lights look and reflect (see Subaru and Corvette lights).

Doesn't mean a whole lot, they also supposedly record every car's engine sound and we all know how that has been thus far(although GT5P does sound a little better).

multiplayer.it also says that GT5 will have more than 100 tracks.

This is not just a rumor. One of Jordans recent news posts describes Kaz's talk with Multi and Multi mentions the fact that an official source tells them that there will be 80+ tracks and Kaz says their source is correct although he cant give specifics. I take this as there will be a minimum of at least 80 DIFFERENT tracks, not variations.

EDIT: Here is the exact transcription:

MultiPlayer:What about the game features that were published on the official japanese site, 1000 cars, 80
tracks and YouTube download?
KY: ”We would like to wait to publish them, but what you read on the site is true.”

As I said in a previous post, we can not be sure that the words '80 tracks' were translated to Yamauchi.
What he confirmed is that the published news were correct.
We know is:
20 tracks + 60 variations or 60 + 20 variations...

Everyone is dreaming of 80 tracks but it may be just a dream.

what does it mean?

Husband: That you were dreaming...

I just don't see them only giving us 14 more tracks from Prologue.

I don't believe that either, there were more than 23 tracks (excluding London) in GT 4 so i don't believe that is true.I have no doubt KY has had a lot of press people asking him some quick questions, here, there and everywhere too.I wouldn't be suprised if the track count of 80 or more is true.

Stansfield: "I like these calm little moments before the storm"

Quite possibly one of the best movies ever... Jean Reno and Gary Oldman are dependably awesome and Natalie Portman nails the role 100%. International version is far superior BTW.

Hmmmm... is 80 tracks true? Answer yes... but wait... 20 tracks + 60 variations makes 80 total... sounds dangerously close... 60 tracks + 20 variatoins also makes 80, but it seems odd that only 1 of 3 tracks would have any variations and then only 1 variation...

I don't want to think about this (20 track or not?) and just wait for TGS but I unfortunately I do... So think it could be something like that:
20 real world circuits + 60 original / city / rally tracks
Well, at least I hope so...

Now that I think about it, 20 tracks Real World tracks doesn't sound too bad since there was only eight of them on GT4. With Daytona and Indianpolis confimed for GT5 Along with those same previous eight, Thats already Halve of them.

And if half of you had a brain, you'd realize that 20 tracks with 60 variations, does not equal 80 tracks.

60 variations other than the original makes 80 tracks.....

But I agree with you, change 1 turn and call it a new track is stupid. most racing games do it that way.

So that makes 4 layouts per track average... yea right...

Each track wether its original or other is a variation, and the supposed factual sources state 20 course with 60 variations.

Not 20+60
