CoD possibly is working great on both with only difference being resolution but no one knows yet. These guys can't even wait til the systems out and the game is out for reviewers to see them side by side. They should let this run its natural course through 2014.
While Xbox One is low on perfomance (PS4 is too imo) and I prefer native res on my 2007 1080p monitor. This hysteria is getting out of control.
No one knows yet because Microsoft is covering it up. IGN cant show Xbox One COD gameplay until the 12th, and Battelfield 4 Xbox One multiplayer has been blocked as well.
PS4 is low on performance compared to what? PC graphics cards that cost the price of the entire console? Im so missing out.
Dan GreenawaltWe're looking at laser scanning of everything moving forward - that's what it comes down to. We want that to be the standard for next-generation. Our goal's not to carry old content over and even with all the cars, we did the same process. There were some inaccuracies, and some cars were old-spec that we'd updated from Forza 2 to 3 to 4. But they didn't have the poly count where we wanted it and they weren't as easy to up-res, so we just recaptured them. Some of them, the spec was good and we could add polygons where we needed them. So it came down to this rating system - and any track or car that wasn't an A grade got either chucked or recaptured.
EurogamerSo why the decision to charge for the LaFerrari?
Dan GrennawaltWe found that we ship a game that has over 200 cars, and they're all to this level of detail with huge diversity. It's been a successful program for us, having the paid DLC. Those that don't want it don't have to get it, and those that want it can buy it. The season pass allows them to buy it as a subscription.
No, the point is that there is no excuse in this day and age NOT to have native 1080p. Console technology has caught up to PCs enough to where you could enjoy lag free gaming on console at 1080p and almost compare the console to the PC version. I could understand running 720p for games like Killer Instinct and Street Fighter mainly because they are designed in such a way that running them in 1080p ruins the experience, but not for shooters like Call of Duty Ghost, another sub 1080p game where detail is critical. The point is, it doesn't matter how far up the wall you can p***, it's whether you're enjoying it at the time.
iDamn.
That Lotus look better than on F1 2013, environment and sounds too. As much as I despite MS I gotta say that's pretty damn awesome, almost makes me want an X1.
We posed just such a scenario to him, and asked what we could do with an Xbox One out of the box. "Nothing. You need the Day One update," he said.
Xbox One is good as a paperweight without day 1 update

I swore we have known this since they removed DRM. I'm guessing it is to remind everyone again?Xbox One is good as a paperweight without day 1 update

Resolution is overrated, I'd rather play games in 720p or even 480i with more special effects and objects on screen, with some CPU power left over for additional physics modelling or whatever else. Trying to pretend you're not looking at a grid of little squares just because they're slightly smaller has never worked for me.No, the point is that there is no excuse in this day and age NOT to have native 1080p.
CNETA Microsoft rep told CNET that the X1 doesn't support playback of 3D Blu-rays, though the company hadn't ruled out adding the feature in the future.
Microsoft has been giving press previews of the upcoming game console, which hits stores on November 22, and some additional details about the Xbox One have been trickling out.
Sony currently supports playback of both 3D games and 3D Blu-ray movies on the PS3. However, the 3D picture is a little less clear for the PS4.
According to Sony's official online FAQ, the PS4 will support playback of 3D games, though none are available at launch. But the FAQ doesn't mention anything about the PS4 supporting playback of 3D movies. (With its November 15 release date quickly approaching, we'll know soon enough whether it does).
