From my understanding trials are included with the games.

If it's not included with the console at all I'd be incredibly surprised

I've heard that Mics were trying to equip the gamepad with some features like backlight, displays, cameras, sound & odor emiters, etc... Is that true? This made me think of:
"Yo dawg, we've put a monitor to your gamepad so you can play a game while you play a game!"

No Music playback here also http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/11...unch?utm_campaign=fbposts&utm_source=facebook

what is it with next gen consoles and playing music :indiff:
Simple reason: They want all money made on anything that goes onto the system, despite if it was purchased legally from another source. Restricting the USB allows them to do that. They could however end up in trouble if they restrict game saves off of USB. It would pretty much make any USB drive useless for the system(s).

I am very tempted to bet real money that the X1 will for sure outsell the PS4. I have been saying that for MANY years and easily see the X1 outselling the PS4 in 3 years. Probably less time than that.

Yes exactly. I easily see the X1 outselling the PS4 for all the reasons I have listed year after year before this event has taken place. Xboxlive is already the best online experience on a console by a longshot. Combine that with a blu ray player along with dedicated servers and the X1 will outsell the PS4. If it doesn't happen within a year, it will happen within 3 years for sure. The only thing that kep the PS3 close to the 360 in sales was the fact the PS3 was FREE online. Now that the PS4 is charging for online, it will lose a large fanbase. Plus the X1 has dedicated servers. If you are an online gamer, dedicated servers are as good as it gets. Anyone that does not see whats about to happen, is going to be very surprised. The X1 will outsell the PS4. Might take a year or two or 3 but it will happen.

Now that we have to pay for PSN I have no interest in the PS4 at all. Especially since it does not have dedicated servers. I will be getting the X1 in early 2014.

Lol, really ??? I hope you are not betting man

They should just make a handheld console that you can hook up to your big console and play...oh, wait, someone already did that.

You forget that dedicated servers = God mode.
So when it comes to the new consoles that force you to pay to play online, you would rather pay for P2P servers which are non dedicated servers? So you like seeing lag because the host of the P2P game has a poor connection. Or you like the game pausing then seeing "migrating host"? :lol:To each his own. I guess some people might enjoy that. :D If I am forced to pay to play online you better believe I am going for the system that has all dedicated servers.

Did you pay to play online on Xbox 360? Also are you predicting worldwide or US sales? I sense maybe Microsoft got a chance to do well with the changes they have made to be more competitive in the US market than they might have done if they didn't. I will be very suprised if they manage to outsell PS4 worldwide, less so US market but still will be surprised.

It remains to be seen how good online will be on both platforms.

Yes I have always paid to play xboxlive and it has always been the superior online experience over the PS2 and PS3. Especially with the 8 player party chat. However, if the PS4 had kept a free online AND dedicated servers, along with 8 player party chat then I was planning on getting the PS4 over the X1. BUT, as predicted, the PS4 will be charging for online. I called that a long time ago. Not sure if it has the 8 player party chat yet but that would improve the online experience for sure. Also as predicted the X1 has a blu ray player. So for me the X1 is by far the best purchase for me.

As for the sales prediction, that's worldwide, grand total across the board. Within 3 years I see the X1 outselling the PS4. Maybe sooner. I am not sure what else to say that I haven't already said over the last couple years about. If the X1 ends up being a piece of crap then I will end up switching to the PS4 anyway. I will pick whatever system works best for me. But so far that is the X1. All just my opinion.

On a side note, I still hate that it is called the Xbox One. Worst console name ever. :ouch:

So you don't mind paying to be able to play on P2P servers then? PS4 does have free 8 player party chat, and a lot of online features for free. Some games have dedicated servers, some don't but the service is also a cheap game rental service in a way. I wonder how dedicated Microsoft servers will be. Will be interesting to see how good the servers are in launch month.

I personally see Xbox One being closest to sales on PS4 in first year of its life, I just think gap between PS4 and Xbox One sales will grow though. I just don't see what Xbox One has to be able to outsell PS4 long term. Will be very surprised if they do or even come within 10% margin after three years. What will be interesting to see is how popular the TV and Kinect features become.

Your predictions are worst than Michael Pachter.

I'm not entirely sure why it matters what consoles sells better. They'll both sell a ton of them worldwide.

Last bet I placed on this site I won, and the member eventually paid me real money through paypal. :D I am very confident the X1 will outsell the PS4 within 3 years.

I am very confident your predictions is going to be way off mark. Basically Xbone, XO needs to be best selling console ever to beat PS4. With PS4 having both price and performance advantage I do not see this happening. May be if kinect becomes really really popular, interactive tv stuff they are trying to do. Then in US region at least they can have advantage.

It matters in terms of support for console. Look at Wii U for example, sales have been quite low, third-party support has been affected by it.

I find the predictions amusing, I'm not gonna buy either console for a good while (maybe not at all). If you look at the facts about the Xbox One they don't look great.

1. Much lower hardware capabilities in terms of graphical power, already lead to a lot of outrage by fans due to not meeting the "next generation" expectations. Evidence of this was the outcry over the Call of Duty being only 720p on the Xbox vs 1080p on the PS4, along with that the Xbox One Exclusive running at 720p with tests showing it averages in the mid 20fps, dropping below 20 at times. This might not matter to some but if you think this kind of information does not affect sales then you're dillusional. This will give the PS4 a clear bias preference to buyers looking to buy crossplatform titles.

2. Higher price despite the above

3. Very bad initial reception on unvieling with glaring issues that result in ripping off the customer (most of which were sorted), though discussions over questionable business decisions crop up every day, not limited to the Xbox One but the Xbox One is the one with the bigger list of issues.

4. Controller compatibility, nothing is backwards compatible, not even the very expensive and still pretty new official Forza wheel. This is flat out saying "**** you" to the players. People don't just sit down and take it, the peripheral market is not what it was when the previous generation of consoles launched and you can't really use logic that would make sense back then and expect it to fly, especially when the PS4 is going for backwards compatibility as much as possible

To those who say the Xbox live is superior, well really that depends on perspective/opinion, it isn't some fact of the matter. PSN was free and provided online gaming, while PSN+ was an optional premium service with extras, where as the Xbox live was a required service to play online. The new generation changes this because PSN + is now like Xbox Live in being a required service. Do you expect things to stay stagnant and that nothing is going to change? Just like in every other department Sony are going to try their best to win the audience in striving to provide the best experience, using perspectives from the previous generation is useless here, especially when even in that previous generation it was a widely disputed discussion with people on both sides prefering either one or the other service, hardly a conclusion that the Xbox Live was superior and ultimately it doesn't matter if it was.

The Xbox One is on the backfoot in many different areas, aswell as the overall support of the fans largely siding with Sony as a result of the embaressing Xbox unvieling and the questionable business decisions that came with it, Microsoft has done well in some areas to recover from it but the knock on effect is still massive, you see it everywhere.

Microsoft went into the seventh generation with an online service under their belt that was 3 years old. Thus, they had experience with online gaming, and had a service they could simply expand upon. Now, eight years later, Microsoft no longer have that advantage. PSN may be younger, but the rate in which it evolved was faster than Microsoft could have anticipated, in some cases it even outclasses Xbox Live nowadays (MS: "Free games? Here, have some old games that no one plays anymore." Sony: "Here, have Driveclub for free on launch."). In my opinion, I believe that Xbox Live has become considerably worse since I first joined back in 09. I don't like the concept of locking things like Netflix behind the Xbox Live paywall, considering Netflix already requires a separate subscription. Money greed right there. The most annoying thing is advertising on the dashboard. Now, to be clear, the original Blades UI and the NXE did not have intrusive advertising, it was hidden under separate tabs. However, the Twist Control UI introduced a few years back seems designed for the sole purpose of advertising. Now, I wouldn't mind if it were there for the Xbox Live Silver members, but they are there even if you are a Gold member. What's worse, they even play sound, a minor niggle but I don't like it.

I do agree, Microsoft came into this generation with the game being theirs to lose, and they did exactly that. Everything they could've got wrong, they did get wrong. However, I like that Microsoft listened to their fanbase and realised it is too early for an "Always connected, always on" console. However, I have to give the credit to Sony for not ever doing it in the first place.

Hmm, interesting. All the features you mentioned the PS4 has too. Your logic intrigues me.

They'll still sell enough to get support from the big developers. Being concerned about console sales and who's "winning the console war" just seems like something you're wasting effort on. Just enjoy whatever console you buy.

It really wont.
