Things in GT6 you want "fixed". (Please read bold first)

They really need to get on fixing at least some of these issues; at least the ones that could be fixed or helped by gamesave hacking. If they don't, the online is going to suck hard just like GT5. I know I'd be one of the first to mod a save; my real-life MR2 spyder has a 2ZZ engine from a Matrix...I want the same in my GT6 MR2 Spyder.

I found that turning on a DS3 controller, before connecting my GTDF wheel allows the L1 R1 buttons on the wheel to work with the menus, (ie: the wheel is assigned as controller 2). Maybe this might be a temporary solution for other wheels too. ??

I just ordered myself a USB Host Shield for my teensy 3.0 that should work with a BT Dongle...my R2 button is going to work with racing karts, and without a wire da**it!!!

It has already been said, but for me the two most frustrating things by far are the (still) basically unusable clutch and the epic fail that is the rolling starts. Even in a championship, where you place first in the previous race do they bump you up to first in the rolling start next race? Nope, just a big F U, back to the end of the line.

The clutch/miss shifting needs to be fixed!!!! Also I just ran a free run with my car, I used up all my NOS and tried to pit but it just sent me right out on track again without bringing up a menu for pit options!

Fix last lap unfair advantages on timed races! For example, 1st place was 5 seconds ahead of me with 3 seconds to go, he passed the finish line first and then the time ran out, he got and extra lap but for me the race ended! 100% not fair.

What's with some cars not having any clutch and H-pattern stick option (when in real life that's what they have), or you upgrade to an adjustable transmission (with the "dog clutch") and you can no longer use the stick and clutch? In both cases you can either use the paddles or sequential stick.

I bought the NOMAD Diablo, and it only comes with an adjustable transmission. The stick and clutch work fine.

However, I also bought the Sauber C9, which has a manual transmission (real car). In GT6, It only comes with the adjustable transmission as well, but I can only either use the paddles or sequential stick--no H-pattern stick and clutch. I am VERY disappointed about this. The Sauber C9 is an awesome car, and I can drive it with stick and clutch in GT5 and Forza 4, but not in GT6 apparently.

I also updgraded a Honda S2000 to an adjustable transmission. Before the upgrade, I could use the H-pattern stick and clutch, but after, only sequential worked.

THIS is a problem. So far it seems inconsistent. Most cars allow stick and clutch, but a few apparently don't.

Not being able to drive my car safe in the knowledge that damage won't save. ALL driving is clocked and ALL damage done is saved. Dirty racing is a no go with income being so slow on this game.:grumpy::banghead:

I would like the option to toggle the GT speedo/tach HUD from the race pause screen rather than having to go back to the main menu HUD options screen to enable/disable.

Reason: I use cockpit view with premium cars without the GT HUD and bumper cam with the GT HUD for standards exclusively. However there are many occasions in which I don't know if a car is premium or standard until I've hit the track. So either I've got no HUD or the GT HUD in a premium cockpit depending on the car.

Call me picky, but GT5 had this option.

Since the early days of GT I've enjoyed hours of hot laps just for the sake of driving and finding that .010 of a second that I knew was there. I would look at my lap times in GT 5, some of them years old, and appreciate the fact that I ran the fastest lap with car "x" on Dec 12, 2011 and haven't beaten that time since - for example.

Now on free run the lap time for the car you're running and at a given track isn't saved so short of keeping a real world log book of laps, it's hard to gauge improvements and watch old records fall.

Free run times need to be saved again and show date, lap time and car for a given track

There is something distinctly off about the Car AI. Racing in the Polyphony Cup which is for unmodified cars, im racing an 86 at Tsukuba, cutting through most of the field, then I pass a fellow 86 driver on the corner before the back straight. I power down out of the corner and discover my stock 86 can pull half a dozen car lengths away from another stock 86. Why is the AI driving at 50% throttle down a perfectly straight piece of road? It's like the AI feels shame and embarrassment that it got passed.

@FRoSTeD - Great thread, & thanks for highlighting the lack of Shuffle.

My contribution; 1) can only change online name 3 times, this should have no limit. 2) NOS doesn't make that Psssss sound it used to in GT4! :dopey:

Good Thread and good important points so far.
For the "no option to switch back to standard values" while tuning, I found out a little trick which doesn't compensate the lack of a button for it but helps sometimes:
If a given car had standard parts installed before, you can select that standard part and switch back to your let's say bad custom suspension to get it's original values back.
As far as I know, this works for every parts, where standard part is still an option.
If that way to get some standard values back was described already, nevermind.

My contribution to the list would be, that in online mode, the columns "one make" and "one class" are useless, because when you set it, no other restrictions can be set anymore like pp value, tires, weight etc.
Useless for now, seems to me like a placeholder for future updates (I hope so, at least).

edit: one mor thing: PD switched the damper settings for extension and compression vice versa. It's ok for me, but reading tuning sheets here right now is confusing, especially when only numbers are written down one after the other (like, is it compression or extension what I have to set!?).

I know I've 'advertised' this many times all over the place, but it still needs to be said: Fix the chassis rigidity glitch! It's going to threaten more and more players when they drive any of their race cars distances longer than 350 miles. The oil life also lasts too long, so these distance numbers must have been mixed up. See my signature for more info.

Here is a "Thing in GT6 I want "fixed"...

The game economy!

I WILL NOT PAY ONE REAL WORLD DOLLAR FOR ANY AMOUNT OF IN GAME CREDITS...EVER.

Since I've already shelled out $59.99 US dollars and I'm willing to participate in races and earning money I DON'T want to spend a ridiculous number of hours grinding (check out the math of what it takes to earn a 20Mil car) just to purchase a high-end car.

I'll go back to GT5 first.

People who use all capital letters are annoying. Please stop using them.

I LIKE THE CAPS LOCK PIC, IT'S EXACTLY HOW I WOULD LIKE TO EXPRESS MY FEELINGS TO A MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR CORPORATION LIKE SONY AND IT'S MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR MINION POLYPHONY DIGITAL.

Besides if you don't like something somebody does SO much, I suggest using the ignore button in that persons profile...like I just did with yours!

Have a blessed day!

No point in arguing with you.

Oh my....list of typical opponents for kart only races, the kart is listed three times DERP. Some of the car models are absolutely horrendous, like the 03 neon srt.

I don't know if it's just me , but the interior view seems just way too dark , making it not only uglier in most cases but in some , also barely playable - I'm talking about Nordschleife through the shadows , I know the track by heart but differing the grass from the asphalt is almost impossible

I can get over the most of the short-comings , but ruining the cockpit view , which for me was one of the GT's largest assets ... I don't know , I spent almost all of my time in GT5 without any HUD ( using only gauges avaliable in car ) , trying to enjoy the GT6 the same way I did with GT5 seems harder and harder with every step I take

Loosing real world wheel width when I upgrade my wheels? The rear fatty's show same size as front's. See my post about the Ruf's and you will know what were talking about. Also some tire widths are incorrect for lots of cars, not only Ruf RGT.
