Things You Want To See In GT6 Besides Vehicles and Tracks

B-Spec racing including human participation in driving. 💡

Add the ability for me, as pit manager, to request a Pit Stop and step into the driving seat for my turn on longer B-Spec races.

This would break up the long periods of relative inactivity with a feeling of involvement as part of the team.

It may also provide an opportunity to rescue the team from defeat when the Bobs are not very experienced, and show them "how it is done" :D

Assuming that when and if B-Spec reprises in GT6, and assuming there is the "Pit Strategy" button, I would add the choice of driver to that button, and add the player as one of the eligible drivers. Of course, if I drive faster than my teammates, I'd like the crowd to cheer me louder  and treat me with silent disdain if I let the team down :dunce:.

I think this would work really well for true 24 hour races in B-Spec and would give the opportunity to share the driving amongst a number of different people (unknown to the game, probably).

-Tire wear indicator like what we had in GT5. I used this as a tuning aid since it would help me understand what my suspension was doing while driving. Absolutely sucks that in gt6 there is nothing to help you understand whats happening to your suspension while you are driving.

-We need more v8 supercars, 1 ford doesnt cut it.

-a better explanation on how to tune your rides. whats with the kw suspension thing we were supposed to get?

-more gt3 cars

-more modern dtm. eg the new bmw

i could go on for days.....

I have to say that many wishes here are quite strange and abnormal but okay :D

First I want the present things get better.
There are things with a bigger priority (imo) than new details.

Best example - the AI.
There is a reason why there is no qualifying mode before a race.
It's thrilling when you have to overtake +12 opponents - best 3 about 12 seconds away.
The really dumb AI attracts no big attention this way because you concentrate on overtaking these dummies.

Please PD - don't give new content the biggest priority.
Make the game better at first.

Another example? -> Exhaust sounds

New content is a bonus, and it's great to have too. I do strongly agree about A.I. though. Having virtual opponents who can actually make mistakes or learn from your habits (ala Forza 5) is ideal. Then again, that's why we race online right?

I would like to see added:

For none-championship career races to also have a button to the next challenge instead of backing out to the category first.

Redoing many races now and it's a bit annoying :)

1st : Quallifying
2nd : Standing start
3rd : Better AI to race against instead of playing catching up from position 16!
4th : 2 to 6 hour races
5th : more visual tuning parts to choose from
6th : painting different parts of the car in different colors
7th : Getting rid of the Numberplate names the car name on, I know which car I am driving! Instead take the players name!
8th : beeing able to save as many setups per car as I want
9th : tyre and fuel wear in free run --> but only if fixed first!

I hope, the "beyond the apex" app will be released soon. It was supposed to be part of the anniversary editions as a book at first and then it just has been published in Asia with PS blog mentioning the release as an app as far as I remember. Hope, we'll get the app soon.

AE86_HID-500x500.jpg

We need an option to do a HID conversion, can't stand regular yellow lights.

Usable cup holders. We need to be able to drink a cup of hot coffee while preforming 45 degree turns. There will be bonus cash awarded to those who successfully take a sip without getting stains all over the dashboard.

I can add a million things to this thread, but one that I'll start with is the way rims are now painted. GT6 took a step backwards from GT5. Where in GT5, when the few black or gold colored rims that had a chrome lip around the outside, were painted another color (say, blue or red), the gold or black inside would be painted, and the chrome lip would be retained. Now, no matter which rim you paint, the ENTIRE RIM gets painted... Which to me, looks ridiculous (unless it's all black, all white, or all chrome). WTF?!? PS2 games have had this down pat over a decade ago!!!

Really PD? Look at any Midnight Club, or Need For Speed games for a hint. They may lack what GT lacks in realism, but they atleast have an understanding of how to give people options and what looks good! Heck, MCLA allows people to paint their rims in 3 individual sections! Sometimes allowing you to choose the colors of the rivets, nuts, and bolts!!!

(Edit)
Another thing. GT5 gave us Spoilers in either Black, white, or gray. And aero packages were selectable individually from the front, middle, and rear, respectively. So why is it that My Diablo GT only has spoilers in black?, and my KTM X-Bow, Diablo, and countless other vehicles, groups the front and rear aero parts together collectively into one choice???

Not only should the parts be able to be selected individually... But each part should carry the option of being PAINTABLE!!! Without a livery editor, THIS IS A MUST!!! Even GTAV, a game that isn't primarily about driving, gave better car customization options than a game, whose SOLE PURPOSE is to simulate car culure and driving!!!WHAT GIVES???

Excuse the DP...

(Edit)
But since it's here, here's a few others...

TDU2 Club Racing System:

The best team racing system I've ever experienced in any game thus far. Points were gathered cummulatively, and if ONE person attained pole victory, but the rest fell in 6th, 7th, and 8th (8player game, 4 vs 4 matches) that team would be considered the losing team. It also averaged points per player. So if it was an uneven match, say 2 vs 4, the team with less people could get 2nd place, any anything other than last place and obtain a victory due to ppp (points per player) being higher.

Need For Speed's Autosculpt"

MCLA's Rim Painting and Vinyl Editor:

"Lol, yeah right!"... I know... -_- A guy can dream... Right?... Fantasize?.... No?... -_-

Sense of speed:

It's not so much a quest for tracks, as it is about the tracks. I drive IRL and there are three things that get me excited and my adrenaline up when driving fast.

1: Movement - The feeling of thrust, braking, and sway.
(Not really possible without a rig, which makes #2 and #3 TWICE as important for immersion.)

2: Focus/Motion Blur - The pupil or retna natural tendency to narrow in to the distance since it's the only constant and slowly changing point of reference as the rest of the nearby world blurrily speeds by.

3: Multiple Points of Reference.
Once past the THRUST stage of acceleration and you're "resting" at a "high speed plateau", I find that being in a narrow environment with multiple roadside objects amongst the side and amidst the road, greatly increases the immersion and gives a greater realization in the sense of speed. Examples: A two lane bridge, tunnel, or serpentine suburban road. A race track that spends a fair amount of time underneath (intersecting/along) elevated subway lines A four lane road divided by a row of palm trees (think areas of the Las Vegas strip or Miami along the waterline). Basically, anything like Cita Di Aria of GT4, Drag Racing in NFS: Underground 2, And the New York and Las Vegas tracks of Project Gotham Racing.

(A race with high powered cars having to navigate slow moving traffic & obstacles would also add for some interesting and dynamic racing... Just an after thought...)

Forza-style drivatars

Qualifying

Custom liveries

Sponsors in career mode

Ability to run a B spec car alongside your A spec car, possibly sharing a pit crew

Introduce 30 minute races from NA or IB and some 1 hour races in S, as well as 2 hour plus endurance races

Have time between championship events, so you can do other things like one make races or seasonal time trials

Ability to mix Karts and cars on the same track. And by "cars", I mean (for me alone) a Hummer.

I think you can see the outcome. :D

Yeh, its not hard to generate a dyno. He works with tuning companies who work from dynos to tune there cars, gear ratios, accel vs top speed, proper hp and torque figures not estimates - dyno runs vary. Handling is best done on track, but a test track would be better for that.

They worked with KW to get spring rates (supposedly), so why not integrate some of that tech in the game? They have the Bob's from GT5, why not have them run around a track so you can tune and compare lap times, remotely would be ideal.

Remote racing was lame, but remote tuning would be awesome. Imagine how many folks would have that open on their desktops at work!

And included an app for it. GTA V has an app that communicated with the game, so does N4S Rivals, even cod elite/app can pass to games.

My area of interest is Le Mans style racing therefore my hopes for improvement largely centre on the endurance events.

It still seems strange that the Le Mans races do so little to embrace what makes Le Mans special. For what it's worth I'd like to see multi-class events, with LMP's competing with GT class cars. You could start competing for class wins in GT's before progressing to the fastest LMP category.

The overall atmosphere at the tracks (not just Le Mans) is lacking. When you are at a race event there are crowds milling around and there are ambient sounds (circuit announcers etc..) A little more attention to detail will help you to feel like you are participating in an event rather than an anonymous track day.

I'd like to see races limited to cars of a particular era, rather than mixing LMP's, Group C's and historics.

While this isn't a thread for listing tracks and cars, I would like to see more historic versions of the real world tracks. We dont need three different versions of the modern Le Mans circuit, have one from the Group C days and one from the 60's. Gran Turismo has done this in the past (Fuji 80's) and I think it will inject a great deal of added interest especially when you use cars from the relevant era.

If you are simulating a Le Mans 24 Hour race, a NASCAR event or whatever, try to get the rules and regulations correct for example at Le Mans the start time is 15:00 not 16:00 any more. Headlights should be on permanently as per the regulations (at least give us the option to turn them on manually)

Failing all of the above we should be able to create our own custom races and championships with custom grids, rules and track settings.

Maybe I'm better off wishing somebody creates a Le Mans video game rather than hoping Polyphony will do it but I can always hope!

I would like to put the top down on convertible cars. There is a '69 corvette stingray convertible but you cannot drive it with the top down. What was the point of putting any convertible in the game and not being able to drive it with the top down? How stupid. It's a premium car, have the option to remove the top from the custom parts menu. And the one convertible that I liked to drive with the top on, Ferrari California, doesn't allow you to put the hardtop on like it was in GT5. What's the deal?

A more robust rally experience. True point to point. Real pace notes , and an interactive environment. In addition to this mechanical failures at random would be nice to have as well. Factore on dynamic weather and it's gold

In Garage/settings: Ability to copy from one of three available settings (A,B,C) to another, as in GT5. On transmission page of same: reset to default button and high speed estimation, as in GT5. In torque/rpm/hp graph, verticle lines that mean something (say, one every 1000) rather than 6 purely decorative lines that are in fact out of scale.

Also, all sliders on Settings page are extremely awkward to move, compared to GT5.

Like GT4.

Like GT4.

Wow, and I thought I had invented something great! Gotta wonder why such an obviously attractive function would be dropped.

My first GT was GT5. And that was late last year when it was clear that FM5 was becoming a disappointment for me.

But I am catching up to you folks in GT5 and 6. 👍

Why in the WORLD do iconic Cars such as Super Bee, Cuda, Dodge charger, or any etc. Doesn't even have to be American to that regard.

But why do they not have Interior Cockpits that are not fully displayed, only a cheap version of the feeling being inside a dark cutout cardboard box, but u have some cheap Honda Fits fully loaded to the hilt.

Unbelievably backwards, please work on that issue PD.
