People with 9 points on their licence do!

Anyway, my point is, you don't look at it much if at all while you're driving so why have it clutter up 30% of the viewing area of your screen.

Alright man, I get what you mean. It's totally cool if you prefer the bumper or hood view. :)

GRAN TURISMO NEEDS SOME CHICKEN

4 point Inside/Middle/Outside Tire temperature. This feature alone would probably be the best tool for tuning they can possibly give us. The ability to understand which tire is gripping too much or too little through temps will go so far in helping tuners set up the car.

Not sure if you have too little or too much camber? Just check the tire temps on the inside and outside of the tire and keep adjusting until they're even. Simple.

they should make gt6 more like forza 4 customizatoin , eg, REMOVAL OF SPOILERS !, customs rims, stocks on the back, gauges, ect

I'd like to drive to a speed shop or when I purchase parts, have a choice of fitting parts at my garage or at the track. The screen saver of the car being serviced in the pit garage is a missed opportunity for this.

-When in first person view. REAL GAUGES THAN COINCIDE WITH THE ACTUAL CAR!
-GT2 Style adding race car vinyls to car
-Bring back effing Pikes Peak

With the option to write a car off once the damage cost is too high, I think there should be an online scrapyard, where the cars written off by other players go, and you can browse the scrapyard to salvage another player's scrapped car. You can also scrap your own cars here, obviously. If you accidently scrap a car, you can go to the scrapyard and look at the list of cars you have scrapped, to see if they're still available or not. If they are, you have the option to salvage the car back, however you still have to pay the price that any other player would if they salvaged it. The cars would be set into categorys too, like in real life, where a car that isn't so badly damaged but was scrapped by a player who didn't have a lot of money, is a Category D car, easily repairable if you have the money. Then it goes all the way up to Category A, which is where you'll need a lot of money to save the Category A cars from the crusher. Also - if the game considers your car as a Category A write off, you are given the option to send it straight to the crusher.

So basically, I'm implying an ability to restore cars as well, but rather restore actual scrapped cars that have been written off by other players. Once you have restored the car, you can either keep it, or sell it on - although once you have bought a scrapped car, you can't sell it until you fully restore it - or, you could always send it back to the scrapyard.

Different cars would have different values in the scrapyard, for example, a more popular car wouldn't cost as much as a rarer classic car. Race cars would also be of higher value, depending on the damage.

Oh, and depending on the category of the car, it's available for only a certain amount of days.

Category D: 28 days
Category C: 21 days
Category B: 14 days
Category A: 7 days

Once the availability time of the car has expired, it's sent to the crusher. When you look at your list of cars, their status will either be 'Available', 'Salvaged' or 'Crushed'.

I'm probably planning way too much here for nothing, but once you get my imagination going, there's no stopping it. :sly:

No please, no motion blur, maybe in Need For Speed where making a horrible game is the objective, not GT5.

You don't see everything going blurry when you drive at speed in real life do you???

I hope not

I was meaning in replays, sorry I didn't really clarify that =P.

  • Ability to write a biography for you avatar, like in The Sims
  • B-Spec / AI drivers all come from a set pool of drivers, rather than have randomly generated names, and have biographys, which influence their driving style, choice of car, whether they're Jackie Stewart or not etc.
  • The monkey from Trial Mountain should get down from his tree and become one of these drivers
  • Set racing teams that run set drivers and cars, such as:
    1. Scuderia Ferrari; who run Ferrari's which are painted red
    2. Citroen Racing; who run Citroen rally cars
    3. Corvette Racing; who run yellow Corvette GT cars
    4. Team Aardvark; who only run cars with extremely long front bonnets, and Maserati MC12s.
    5. Team Phantom; that one team who don't look so good in qualifying, but their pit strategy mysteriously turns out to be perfect so they finish really well
    6. Team Mate; a team who's drivers are always your mate and will let you overtake them *if you really want to*
    7. We Didn't Do It, Honest Gov Racing; who run Astras and Corsas
    8. North Korean State Racing Team; who's garage is full of men in suits and sunglasses
    9. International Rescue; who's drivers lips are all actually made from a certain product available at your local pharmacy
    10. Team Famine; undefeated champion for the past 8 seasons of racing. IN EVERY CATEGORY.
    11. Team Chaotix; who are racing along in their quest to find the computer room
  • Grid Animals, all the drivers take their pets out onto the grid and parade them before the race
  • Watersplashes on rally tracks
  • Mode where you can walk or cycle around the circuit before a race meeting, allowing you to reccee it
  • Optional post race interviews that slowly get more and more bizarre as you progress through the game, until suddenly they stop being optional and become compusory interviews with secret agents about what you think the North Korean state team might really be up to.
  • And of course, we need CARDIACS for the soundtrack! JOIN MY CAMPAIGN!

YES! THAT is what we need.

I think they should add deer into the game or something that could run out onto the road. lol

Also they should have puddles that form when it rains, instead of everything just being wet or slippery.

I don't think that would be funny. I had a teacher back in school who was ery lucky to survive getting hit by a deer, unless of course you refer to deer that cannot be hit by the car, such as in V-Rally 3.

According to another GTP user, you'd have to remodel all cars from scratch for damage like that to be incorporated in GT6.

Well they'll have to remodel most standards anyway, why not better damage model too, lost bumpers, dented panels, smashed glass etc

Sorry, but that would add too much fun to the game so its not going to get in GT6 ;)

Also, the TV style replay had it's flaws.

It would be optional, but what flaws does it have? We watch real racing like this why not GT6

I meant no offense. It was a little bit of a joke, but I think it would be a cool feature. Sorry if I upset you or hurt your feelings.

I want the tyres to work properly, i want to be able to have the option of going for a longer stint on hards rather than just pitting more and using softs which 9 times out of ten is the best way to run atm.

Also ABS 1 - 10 doesnt have a huge difference where as ABS 0 is truly off, it would be good if 0 was off and 10 was fully on and the rest were spaced correctly inbetween, i.e. so it would be possible to lock your brakes on abs 2 if u stamped on them.

At the minute its easy to lock up on abs 0 yet nearly impossible on abs 1

Also on a side note, the one thing that keeps a game alive is a thriving community so :-

a more comprehensive track editor with the ability to dress the track with stadiums, bridges, tunnels etc etc etc and a car livery editor with the abilty to share both these easily would mean a creative community would build around the game.

I like the way forza did the tire model so I think adjusting tire pressures is a must.

Tyres really need to be sorted, since F1 switched, they got 5 compounds (Superhard to Supersoft). Hard could last 70% of the race, here in like a few laps (especailly Nurburgring). Pressure might help too

Ever see this:

This is real, and you can download it for free (My computer is too old to download it). If that damage engine was incorporated into GT6, I would die.

Saw it a few months ago, as part of a Cryengine 3 promotion. If this were included it would change the way we race, we'd have to be much more careful otherwise we wouldn't finish a race.

Plus it would put an end to online rammers; one hit and they're finished.

I would ram online just to see what would happen to my 2CV. DIE!

I was very impressed upon first seeing the physics with the Cryengine 3. Rigs of Rods have done a good job there 👍

I don't think PD will include it though because they don't seem to like working with anyone else, and it would take them too long to replicate themselves I think.

I'd like to see a full blown rally championship, how about six 6-stage rallies in Sweden (snow), Argentina (gravel), France (tarmac), Finland (gravel), Australia (gravel), and the UK (mixed)?
