Things You Want To See In GT7 Besides Vehicles & Tracks

I would like it if all of those little updates they have added (custom gauges, caliper paint, wing paint) were kept in GT7. I don't care much about a livery editor (taking pics of road cars with liveries ), but the little things are nice!

What I want to see in GT7 are (And excuse my bad English :P)

MENU STYLING (Maybe I am one of the few players who think about the menu styling lol)
- Dunno why, but I prefer the separated Arcade Mode and GT Mode (Not Career Mode!) Like in the previous GTs
- Map Styled Menu from GT1-GT4 in the GT Mode Main menu but more modern
- Make almost all menus GT5's style (As PS4's much stronger, maybe using this kind of menu won't increase the loading time), except maybe Dealership, Garage, and the Pit Service, Aero & Color Customization menu
- Bring back the event logos from previous GTs like this :
wind.jpg

- For the Arcade menu, DON'T only occupy very small screen like in GT6
- Don't separate the Variable Weather/Not/Forward/Reverse Courses

DEALERSHIP
-
For the Gallery Mode, allow the player to scroll the car looks by themselves, also the player can open the hood, door, and trunks of the car and see the interior
- Unite some cars that has exactly the same price, PP, and specs, like NASCAR and Super GT cars, and their various liveries are avaliable in 'Select Colour'
- GT2/GT4 Style Brand menu (After selecting a brand, there is 'New Cars', 'Used Cars'/'Legendary Cars', 'Tuning', and 'Event' menu before selecting cars)
- Bring back the car model logos display like in the first 4 GT games, also the manufacturer's tuning name (Subaru = STI)
- How about displaying 'Fuel Consumption'? :v
- Optional, divide cars in classes based on their PP (Ex, B Class = <370, A = 370-440, IB = 440-530, IA = 530-620, S = 620>)

TUNING
-
More parts like in the first 4 GT games (Turbo Kit Stage 4, Intercooler, etc)
- Maybe gradual tuning for all 'Stage' Kits (Must buy NA Stage 1, then Stage 2-3) so no parts is useless to buy

GT AUTO
- Bring back car wash, oil, change, color change, etc. animations
- As everyone said, bring proper modifications (Full bodykit, liveries, etc.), and also Custom Rear Wing to every car
- List wheels by Manufacturer First (Like in GT2-GT4)
- If GT refuses to bring proper modifications, then bring the Racing Modifications, if you think about it, Race Mods are also a proper modification, you get bodykits, liveries, sporty interior in one pack!
- About Racing Modification, apply it to almost all cars like in GT1-GT2, and not blank like most of the RMs in GT5 (More liveries and decals)
- (RM again), you can also choose to not apply the racing livery before RMing your car (When you want to keep your car look road-ish)

GAMEPLAY
- Fuel reduction are more realistic (Economy cars's fuel lasted for a longer time) <- Or maybe it has been realistic (I don't pay attention on this one)
- As everybody said, apply real damage, both visually and mechanical. (Visual damages like rally cars in GT5 is enough, but put emphasize in mechanical)
- More opponents (Especially for NASCAR Cup Races)
- Sound and Sense of speed!!!
- For GT Mode's AI, for the first races they behave like 'Medium' difficulty from Arcade Mode, as you completed many races, they then behave like 'Professional' difficulty
- After a race and you damaged/dirtied your car, the damage/dirt stays in your car until you repair/wash it
- Ability to retire from race when the car's total-ed, or blown engine (Not revving when the tachometer goes red)

GT MODE EVENTS
- Longer the scale of race like in GT4 (Championship events consists of max. 10-15 race)
- Also long event progress like in GT4 (Mission Races, Japanese Events, European Events, etc.)
- Endurance Races are back to long ones like GTs before GT6, with the ability to save-and-continue
- GT1 Feature : Practicing and Qualifying in Championship races
- Real race rules in real race events such as NASCAR or Super GT
- Formula GT event + Full Lap like in GT4

OTHER
- Free Roam mode using the Map in GT Mode Menu Layout
- Well, just a better B-Spec
- Better Course Maker
- All Premium Cars (If Kaz refusing to throw away standard cars means to keep them and evolving them all to Premiums)
- If they can't, Standard cars are given interiors and more detailed

Game Modes
- Free Roam (Think Tokyo Xtreme Racer series, just a big freeway system nothing to crazy)
- Bring back qualifying
- Famous racing scenarios from F1, Le Mans, NASCAR, etc.
- Drag Racing

Features
- A better, more organized main menu
- The ability to switch cars while at the track
- Better sound (backfires when letting off the throttle/shifting, louder engine volume in car and outside of car, louder opponent/npc engine sounds, louder idle, gear whine, more realistic road noise)
- Better sense of speed
- More photomode options (Flash/strobe lights, In car/onboard cameras, super slo-mo for replays, more phototravel locations)
- Better AI

Tuning
- Bring back racing modification
- Different pre-set liverys for race cars with different sponsors
- More visual customization options
- Different tire manufacturers and styles
- Different tire and wheel widths
- Different turbo configurations (single/twin) and sizes
- The ability to adjust engine displacement (within reason) and increase compression
- Upgrading the engine changes the sound of the engine

Yes, YES.... YES PLEASE! Thank you! :D

The option to go through the careermode with a single manufacturer which will unlock loyalty bonusses.

If PD is working closely with car manufactures it would be nice to see it would pay off for a gamer as well. Getting the manufactures involved in gameplay design, organizing events, launch new vehicles and connect gamers to their brand. It could be a platform to promote, organize and kind of official manufacturer competitions. This with FIA involved: FIA will run the (for example) VTCC with official ruleset and manufactures can provide car with appriopriate specs which will be created together with PD.

Don't ask me how though... ;)

More realistic particle effects... I mean come on! When was the last time you saw a car spin at 60mph and produce a D1 level smokescreen!

Hahahaha... I think most smoke effects in GAS are like this by default!

Seriously though, there has to be a progressive model. We really need a unique engine like Unreal or Cry dedicated to generating realistic smoke effects alone.

I would like to be able to put a turbo or supercharger on a 3.2 VR6 engine. Mostly to replicate real life HPA builds other than just having the two prebuilt options.

I would basically like 'If they can do it to a car, then so can I' in a way. I know manufacturers might like to keep vehicles true to themselves, but for a game that represents car culture, there is not a lot of car culture going on.

I want to see a lot of customization things. I want to be able to turbocharge/supercharge on any car, with the option to have both at the same time. I want offset adjustment so I can do this
gemasolar_1-jpg.255434

without modding. In all honesty, if they don't add something as simple as customizable offset I'm going to be extremely disappointed. That's going to make or break GT7 for me.

I agree. It's high time.

GT has to move ahead in terms of tuning/customization/upgrades, SOUND and physics.

I hope Kaz is taking fan feedback seriously this time.

200 to 300 is a very healthy car count to start with, provided the track selection holds up and they work on all these issues fans have been feverishly voicing since GT5.

My only wishes I want are a real team feature(not the bogus feature they have now), and updates with new cars that come out. On the team feature I want it to show on your name to say which team your on so you won't have to make a new name. Like clans on shooting games. Have updates to bring in new cars that come out after the game.

i would like to see more historical tracks, like some abandoned tracks restores in gt7, as well more cities avalibale, like rotterdam nl or amsterdam nl. just for examples

GT Academy Grassroots. For players 35 or 40yo and above who want to race, but aren't elgible for GT Academy.

.....For those who like to take photos: a photoshop mode.
And a video editor, since GT7 has "share" ability. Imagine the possiblities!!
Oh and I still want grid babes. 👍👍

It is not particularly encouraging to see so many GT6 updates coming out all the time and no mention or news at all of GT7 development. How long has it been since the PS4 debuted? Well over a year?

Come on PD! Flex your muscle a little more towards GT7.

This just builds the hype for GT7. Jist focus on GT6 for now. Updates and all. Then, before you know, GT7 will be revealed.

So... you want to run a graphics engine within the game's graphics engine. Gotcha.

Exactly! You obviously saw right through the sarcasm.. but the smoke effects in games need to be progressive and should react realistically with the environment, so in a racing game for example:

Tires give off smoke based on how you brake, accelerate.. wheels spinning at the starting grid as opposed to wheels loosing grip during a turn... or spinning wheels slowly starting to grip the tarmac.. tires losing traction on different tarmac surfaces or tire compound for example.. ALL of this should have a direct impact on how particle effects are displayed.

PD has an eye for visual detail, so all of this, along with REAL engine sounds and deeper physics.. I might be willing to sacrifice Forza for a PS4 + GT7. (And obviously a better looking and performing PCARS) :)

aftermarket tuning parts and custom body kits/body panels from tuner companies. Inital D Arcade Stage does it, I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be included in GT7.

Better looking maybe, but better performing than PCars?...not a chance.

Particle effects are very resource intensive, and if PD wants to step the game up in visuals on PS4 beyond it's rivals, something might have to give a little to make that happen. Project Cars physics + DriveClub details + 1080p/60fps + 45 cars on track isn't going to happen. More enhanced and detailed particle effects could cost you cars on the grid for example if you want a smooth, stable frame rate which I think everyone is expecting on the PS4.

Better performing PS4 PCARS than the X1 PCARS....

I would love for this to be a standard feature in GT7 AND FM6:

At least 2 or 3 aftermarket parts to choose from for each category (engine, brakes, suspension etc.)

Different brand parts performing differently.. i.e. a Magnaflow exhaust behaving differently from a Motec exhaust in terms of sound and performance.

Or a Eibach suspension allowing for different tuning options/parameters compared to Bilstein suspension/springs, while exhibiting different performance characteristics.

I really wish GT/Forza would mature and innovate a little in the parts/tuning department. We still don't have advanced tuning for suspension, steering or boost pressure/cam settings/ecu for instance.

Give people a simple and advanced model to choose from already!

Then we can really test tire ratings. Like putting SR rated tires on a 458 and watching them delaminate above 112mph. :sly:

B-Spec:

If they were to add an improved B-Spec in GT7, they should base the driver on your driving skills in the game. Something like the Drivatars in Forza, but then for B-Spec Bob.

Menu soundtrack:

Have Ulrich Schnauss work on the menu soundtrack for GT7. You should hear his song I Take Comfort In Your Ignorance, it really fits as a song that you can hear while going through the menu screens. I like the lounge music in the Gran Turismo games, but I feel like the soundtrack should capture more of the feeling of racing which the series is going to with the whole FIA license. That is just my opinion.
