Things You Want To See In GT7 Besides Vehicles & Tracks

You could implement some statistical penalties that could be beneficial like tracking race completion stats and perhaps having it affect payouts. You could track stats for "completion %" and then allow lobby creators the option to disallow entry to those with less than X% completion rate. You could also encourage completion by penalizing players for early retirement monetarily (game money) and by offering reward bonuses for race completion streaks. The payout of rewards to players completing the race could be based on number of entries rather than number of finishers as well.

This could be integrated with a players behaviour statistic, as mentioned elsewhere

...Y'know, suddenly this thread looks suspiciously like a wish thread, with almost all the ideas posted here are "dupes" of Features Suggestion forum.

...How did this thread survive for this long?

For me, give me a simple livery editor (Symbols, shapes, numbers, aftermarket decals, etc.)
-ACTUAL Car customization (Front bumpers, body kits, Flat floors, lights, etc.)
-A revamped AI system! (Make the CPU drivers actually fight for the lead instead of letting me pass)
-More cars on track (At least a 24 car line-up)
-Weather and 24h time for more tracks (For Endurance races)
-PLEASE Kaz! Can we PLEASE be able to work on aerodynamic parts and make certain brake & suspension adjustments while in race via pit-stop (i.e. I'm racing a 2 hour endurance, 30 minutes in, it starts pouring, I want to be able to change my tires and adjust my aerodynamics to better suit me for the changing weather conditions.)
-Obviously better and more realistic car sounds
-An Automatic pace car when doing an Endurance race over 25 minutes.
-Actual yellow flags
-Realistic Damage (Mechanical failures, blown engine, blown tires, front wings and other aerodynamic parts fall or hang off when making contact with something at 120 mph)

please, no option to leave online races. I hate when I'm racing let's say ten people on Nordschleife and some of them crash in the first corners leaving three far ahead and the rest scattered far back, and one by one they leave, leaving only the three in the front. Every racer, especially GT, should force players to finish the lap, enter the pit, and retire there.

And this. My GOODNESS This Would be Fantastic if this was implemented in GT7! But that's what I want to see in GT7

Sorry if it's kinda long.

What I have read all looks good to me, but I have a one, a better search method for looking up cars instead of going to each dealership you are able to look up cars by PP and HP, maybe break it down more to normal, racecars, driftcars, prototypes! What do you guys think?

Sorry engine start and stop on track like project cars
Never understood why that comes in handy. Does it happen if you fail to clutch with a wheel and you have to turn the engine back on?

Gran Turismo 7 will need to have a feature no other racing game has to get ahead of the pack.

Name something no one else has done.

Something like visible tire failure. Or something more inventive.

You should be able to get out of the car and make hand gestures to passing cars after someone wrecks you.

In sims, when you are driving full manual transmission and spin or crash to a dead stop and forget to depress the clutch the engine stalls, as it would in real life of course. You need an engine start button to get it going again and the ability to bump start is an added bonus for realism.

id actually like to see actual new showroom cars from the past couple years instead of just Nissan. there's a few manufactures that are rather outdated with older cars add the new Audi R8 new Mercedes AMG GT new Ford Gt new Ferrari 488 but also more classic cars as well. also would like Gran Turismo to stop being a driving simulator and start being a racing simulator that will improve the game in itself and also the franchise when you look at other games like Project cars and Assetto Corsa. and a dream would be a livery editor but i think that'll be pushing it abit

I was watching some old GT trailers and i found this:

You guys may or may not remember this trailer but it shows the FT-86 driving on an unknown , never released and the driver has casual clothes on.

I'd like to see that in GT7.

A drag mode would be nice. Also more car customization like some stickers or idk, sending cars would be nice because as we know that the PS4 can not be jailbroken then there is not going to be hacked cars. And finally, a premium Supra RZ 97.

Oh and also that the speed should be more realistic. For example in GT6 I went 300mph and yea the car was bumpy in the speed but it felt like no big deal. Like when you are racing, the vision around you (not everything) should be a bit blurry.

Id like to be able to turn that rear view mirror off at last, get rid of that awful stockyard nightmare (or at least add a 'IN STOCKYARD' icon in the showrooms, they have added a bit of dust and grime I notice in GT6, but I'd like more of it, and the cars need to get snowy/muddy on respective tracks too. I notice that GT6 has at last got tyre marks, on tarmac at least, but still nowhere near enough and if you go on grass/mud/snow/gravel etc. you still leave nothing behind.

Grid start for a closer race better AI that aren't afraid to hit you and a larger field preferably 16-24 at a time on and offline

I want to see drag races. I want to be able to drag against AI to test cars 0-60 times, quarter mile times, etc. I would like to see each car have those stats as Stock and Current(Assuming currently tuned). I want to see Porsches in the games, if they can't, that's fine, still include Ruf. But would love a 996 turbo. I would also like to see WAAYYY more customization with aero kits and spoilers, side skirts, make way more cars that we can customize. PARTNER WITH GOOGLE MAPS to make a simple route maker based off real roads anywhere in the world. Simply type an address or road, trace the route you want to make, and it creates it and the scenery could be a simple computer version of the current google maps pictures. BAM!! You're welcome GT, just thank me by putting in my 996 turbo.

Practice .Qualifying and Standing starts as in most racing . Rolling starts for certain events !! Better engine sound !! Mechanical and body damage !

Better damage, includes some mechanical and Visual problems ranging from Wheel punctures to Parts of the car failing off to the engine getting blown off.

Qualifying before any races, at least make it like Gran Turismo 3 for example.

Much better A.I's, I want them to be more human-ish with some making mistakes, taking different driving lines and of course make them more competitive unlike in GT6...

Pace car before/during/after the races for more realistic touch. So if a massive crash or it started raining then a pace car will come out.

More cars at the track, Project Cars have around 50 cars at the same time and that's both on consoles and PC.

Better sounds obviously, GT6 car sounds are a total "offense" to those who like cars sounds.

Better Physics that could be compared to Full Racing simulators, I mean it's called "The Real Driving Simulator" not the Arcade driving...

Longer Offline Career.

Have a arcade mode similar to GT4 where plenty of cars you were able to drive in the beginning and you unlock more cars as you buy/earn new cars from the career mode.

Livery Editor similar to Forza one's.

Full customization, i want a full bodykit not just some small minor front end changes. I want to change stuff from different bonnets to adding roll cages to tinting the windows. Also we should be able to engine swap it to another engines or change the drive train. Finally we should be able to convert it a road car into a race car via race modification like in GT1/GT2 and GT5.

Every Course comes with full 24H Day/Night & Weather conditions.

Able to put your name and your flag on the side just like with every race car.

LOL Dude! What more do you want?.. PatrisS136 ;)

Anywho... for a long time lve been looking for catastrophic failure of a car. You know... if you run out run out of gas... thats it, you are done! And depending on severity of collision... FIRE! And the burning hulk of YOUR remains smolders until the rescue team scrapes your mess off of the track while the safety car takes over the field.

A new idea since 5's release... four way flashers while your ebrake is engaged. And omt... if the dang car has a lights... let us use all of them. Tired of corner lights and driving lights not being used. I can understand standard cars, but no excuse for the premiums!

Full team Control

Never really liked how the team aspect of racing is always ignored. The driver is just one part of a huge operation that a team needs to win races. I'd like to hire an entire team to help me and my b-spec drivers win races. Not going to lie, I got alot of this from Metal Gear Solid V.

This is just very rough idea thrown together in 15 minutes

4 Tire changers and 1 Fuel Man
How quickly your tires and fuel are replenished.

Race Engineer
How much and how accurate the data is you receive about your car and current race. Also determines how good strategy is for remote B-spec races.

2 Race Mechanics
How quickly and completely your car is fixed in a race if it is in an accident.

4 Shop Mechanics
How fast your car is repaired for the next race. How fast upgrades are installed in your cars.

4 Research & Development Engineers
The better they are the more upgrades you can install on your cars. If they are bums you cant install Weight Reduction State I for example. If they are great then you can install a stage 4 Turbo and have them build it to an exact horsepower number.

Example of a R&D Engineer's stat line
9/10 - Engine (how quickly and effectively engine parts become available to install for a selected car)
4/10 - Transmission
3/10 - Chassis
7/10 - Body
1.4% of winnings - Salary

Example of Race Engineer stat line

8/10 - Fuel info (a great engineer will display your fuel in liters to the second decimal place and give you an estimated liters per lap number for your car and track combo, a poor engineer will just display your fuel as generic blocks)
4/10 - Damage info
5/10 - Tires info
4/10 - Race Info
3/10 - Weather Info (How precise his/her weather forecasts are)
6/10 - Race Strategy
3.8% of winnings - Salary

Every race or practice counts as a week. The people you hire can either retire or move on to work elsewhere so you have to keep an eye on your staff. Their stats can get better or worse as time goes on.

And one more thing. My garage is replaced with My Shop. You operate out of a racing garage now that can be customized and you walk around in it and can see all your employees working on your cars etc.

Have the ability to send race invites instead of having to sending somebody a message like "Hey I got a room up. A race invite system would be great to have.

I want to see real dealerships, where you can walk between cars and choose. The more exclusive cars could be in a seperate room where you can only enter when you have enough credits/racing points... I would also like a personnal garage where you can display your most valuable and loved cars.

I support this idea. Would be quite nice I'd say.

Kinda like how the new car dealerships in Gt4 had different backgrounds
