đź’ˇ Expand and Make Car Collecting a bigger part of the
game.

What if car collecting was part of the completion process of completing the game ? I know lots of people enjoy and spend a good deal amount of time collecting cars and trying to get cars in a certain color. My Question to all of you GT lovers out there is what if finding and purchasing or winning the hard to find and rare cars was included in the completion process of the game. Or what if there was like a master list included with the game including the differnt car colors and as you purchased them they was checked off or something like that.
Then maybe the list was only revealed little by little, say each 10 percent completion of the game. Actualy some sort of list might be easier to navagate especially in arcade mode to find cars. Anyway just an ideal that could be added to the list of ideals for side features.

Bring back qualifying before races. I'm getting tired of starting from the back of the grid. Also, I'm getting tired of not having the correct settings for races. With qualifying, we can see if our cars are properly set up.

First of all, more car customization. Custom paint jobs, body kits, numbers, decals, etc., as well as more realistic tuning (displacement up for American cars, turbos for NA cars, special equipment for old cars, etc.). Maybe have different prices for different paint styles--standard colors for $500, any solid color (selected R/G/B style) for $1000, weird changing colors like those on the TVR Tuscan for $2000, and racing paint schemes included with race modification.

The return of racing modification.

Better music. GT1 and 2 had decent music, GT3 had acceptable music, GT4's music sucks. I want older stuff like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Rolling Stones, Steppenwolf (make Born to be Wild the intro song!), etc. And for chrissake NO HIPHOP PLEASE.

Bring back the R license--I don't need to know how to do snow driving for an S-license tarmac race.

Dynamic wind, time of day, and weather, and rain tires (slicks don't work in the rain!). Make endurance races' conditions change, requiring you to pit and swap tires.

Point-to-point races as well as circuit races.

Other numbers of AI players besides 5 for road and 1 for rally. Really big events should have 20 cars or more.

An IROC-style race where you're provided with a car to run the race with, and that car is the same as everyone else's car.

Bring back Grindelwald and Rome Night!

The ORIGINAL High Speed Ring from GT1, where you could pull 45-second lap times.

More European tracks such as Silverstone and Spa-Francorchamps.

REAL oval tracks like Daytona and Talladega.

GT1-style qualification, plus a pole position bonus.

Bring back simulation cars in arcade mode.

Bring back unlockable cars in arcade mode.

Bring back classes in arcade mode, and make an AA class for super-powerful road cars and mutliple S classes for race cars.

If you went to a Endurance race or a Championship race, there's a Practice button, you go there and once you get out of the pit your first but your postion is last, so you have to keep driving on the practice until your position turns to number 1 after that go race, and you'll start first

A couple things I would like to see in GT5:

1) Please get rid of the original tracks. I don't want to race real cars on tracks that do not exist in real life. I'd like to see more F1 tracks, as well as some of the smaller local tracks from around the world.

2) I want to be able to buy a car straight off the showroom floor, and modify it into an actual racecar, not just an over-powered version of the factory car, but a racecar that handles, brakes, and performs substantially better than a tuned street car.

3)In addition to the last point, it would be nice if you actually had to race to win sponsorships, so you can add decals on to your car (top gear rally 2 is the only game I've played so far that allowed you to do this, with fake sponsors of course) You start of with sponsorships from small companies racing at a semi-pro level, and as you progress, you can get bigger sponsorships.

4) I'd like to see an owner mode, where you start your own racing team from scratch, and control everything from hiring drivers to pit crew members, and even training them.

5) It's time PD really took the training wheels off. Cars don't magically appear on the track, they are driven onto it from the garages. The cars also don't magically drive themselves into the pit. Pit radios should also be included, and what about the flags? There's nothing like racing down the final straight towards the checkered flag with your rival 5 inches off your rear bumper. All these things that we miss out on should be included. Maybe it would be too much for the average gamer, but that's what arcade mode is for.

6) A bunch of things that have been said already, dynamic weather, improved AI, damage. Real F1 cars would be nice too.

My big thing is sponsorships, which are one of the most important aspects of racing, since there would be no professional racing if it weren't for the billions of dollars poured into it by large corporations. At the least, let us put some decals on our cars, so we can pretend we worked for the sponsorship.

I already know that. What I'm talking about is for individual races, though. I hate not being able to qualify for them. I like doing "spot" races and would like it to be a challenge. So, qualifying would allow me to make it as challenging as possible.

Different oil brands at GT Auto such as Mobil 1 and Castrol. The GT High Grade oil does not protect my MINOLTA from engine wear. :dunce:

Better pitstop animation and B-spec instructions to use nitrous oxide. W00t/ đź‘Ť

Also, the used cars should not be organised by age but by different dealers with different types of business (e.g. sell mass cars or sell luxury cars, etc.).

I just thought of something else, if it's even possible, it would be cool if PD added an in car view with the actual dash for each car. I don't know if it's possible with so many cars, but it is one of the reasons I loved the early Need for Speed games.

Proper point to point rally stages, and lots of them otherwise its pointless
Wet Weather
Proper grid starts with the red lights ala F1
Co-Driver in rallying
Dirt being dragged on the track when cars go off
More involved pit stops, interactive stops
Tyre walls that fall apart when hit
Damage, proper collision detection
Better physics, real physics
A1GP
Proper car prices
Visual wear
More marshalls, animated
More fantasy tracks
Narrow rally stages
Your name on the side window in a race car
Cockpit view with accurate Cockpits per car

Dirt on cars - brake dust, bug splats, exhaust burns, etc etc

Cockpit view

Being able to flash your lights

Horn

More and better instruments

When you apply a new part I hate the bit were it loads that new part ( scrap that bit ) unless thats just cuz of the ps2's power.

Better spectators instead of that same bloke with the beard and shades, he has a million clones!

Engine fail's if not serviced or something.

Make me a cup of tea and bacon sandwich. :)

One thing i would like to point out about Gran Turismo 4 is the fact that i have only seen used race cars only once and i think it waz the 627 day, im not too sure, but anywayz they should include various types of race carz that show up in the used car showroom every 2 weeks instead of just that day. And my progress iz 87% percent and i check the used car showroom frequently and ive seen it once......now i know a lot of people have said this but an improved A.I. desperetly shoud be in GT5. I dont like that fact that when im braking to make a turn, for example on the back straightaway on Twin Ring Motegi where it turns into a downhill, a car hit u from behind because their braking point is different from yours. Anywayz im done my comment. Later :)

Omni's wishlist vol. 2

1.)When burning out the smoke would be more realistic such as; it would last longer, it would keep smokin' after burnout stops, and it would leaving tracks.

2.)Initial D style tracks, up in mountains like on Mt. Akagi (spelling??).

3.)Turn lights on at will

4.)Able honk horn

5.)Windsheild wipers work

6.)Exhuast smoke comes out when need of an oil change

7.)Louder spool (turbos)

8.)NA cars sound like NA cars

9.)Supercharged cars sound like supercharged cars

10.)Able to put the top down on your convertible at will

11.)Get rid of the nitrous option (or keep it), and add a scramble turbo button.

DTM (and other race cars) to sound how they are supposed to and open exaust cars to sound like thier exaust is ope (ie: all the raspyness and roughness)

to hear DTM cars, co here: http://dtm.de/sound.en.php

the best are at the bottom of the list.....

also, like many others, want day/night changes on the 24h races and weather changes (along with having 'wet' tyres for rain)

yea that would be awsome and also: the honda's v-tec it would be nice to hear the real vtec scream in gt4

wwaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAP SEE HHEHEHEHE
(I LOVE DOIN THAT)

more detailed tuning. i want to set cam profiles, air fuel ratios, boost pressure, tire pressure... everything.

better/more weather effects and night/day/reverse versions of all tracks.

also there should be a very large parking lot in which you can do what you like. the one in gt4 is just to small.

the coolest thing they could add would be a track editor. i would love to make my own track. they could just put a generic background like the deasert or forest.

Well... since the San Jose Grand Prix went so well (aparently) and it will be back in the years to come I'd like to see this track in GT5 so I can get "sick air" maybe get a Merc to flip that kind of stuff.  :dopey:

Oh yeah, I saw that on that Speed News or whatever on the Speed Channel. That looks hairy! Like Chewbacca-hairy!

A Spectator mode to watch them online races on the sidelines....sure its not that fun but i mean its just an idea. Or how about this, using the eye toy...it tracks your head movement....so when are going into a curve, you simply turn your head just a bit to the left or right (which ever direction the turn is) and the screen will follow you as in real life racing. .well i think its cool. dont know about you guys. But it would be like limited so that it wont mess up your racing, and it would be an option u can turn on or off.

Before the start, you start in the pit for some sort of out-lap,and there will be a few pitbabes (yay :P) and they will note where you have to start. Or does that get too realistic? Maybe...

Mountain Road racing such as on Akina, Irohazaka, Momiji, Myougi, or Usui!

skids marks, and dirtier textures.

The thing that pisses me off with the game developers these days is that they make all the textures too clean and everything looks fake. I wish they would put some imperfections here and there and everything would look a lot better, after all, nothing is perfect!

Bring Back The "racing Modification" From Gt2!!!! That Was So Cool Because Almost Every Car Was Able To Get A Racing Paint Job!!!

I find myself playing GT2 sometimes just to re-live this. Seriously I played GT2 for about 2 hours this past weekend. yea still play GT2, and what :)

what do you guys think of the possibility of a clutch option? it would probably only to be used with the wheel but i think it would add an important dynamic to the game. at that point, people could probably learn to drive on this game!

So true! I used to love tuning the little Toyota Starlet KP to the max and win races in it :P (got over 110PS XD)

What else... Ah yes! Engine-swaps! It would be really nice to be able to throw a 2.0 Turbo engine in a car like Opel Corsa or so.

Have to agree Racing Mods with race paint job was great in GT2, even though many of the paint jobs looked liked they was done in someones home garage. Maybe it was intended to be that way. Would like to see the racing mods, then maybe after mods the car is basically stripped of all paint, left with nothing but all gray primer etc. and is ready to go to the paint shop. Include a paint shop that includes features that are far better then anything that has ever been included in any car game before. Maybe a random paint option, with a few buttons that control certain features. I could see people spending hours n hours just working on their cars appearance.

TVRKing
BTCC cars maybe? after all, they've had JGTC and DTM cars.
the new ones are nice, but i would like to see as well as the new ones...the old Ford Mondeo and Honda touring cars. I got a vid of a BTCC Year 2000 race at night....at silverstone, and those cars were awesome...not to say that the new ones are nice...but yea, that series has some good cars.
