How about the ability to jump the start of the race, or stalling the car when your about to start off

...along with a penalty for the former and damage for when the latter causes the person behind you to ram your rear bumper.

I would like to see the birds fly away when you race past, and the trees move when its windy.

Ooh - birdstrike! Back straight at Cote'd Azure, 150mph, THUMP! Supersonic seagull. Imagine the replay on that...

Then PD could put in their first cheat code (a la Mortal Kombat) to turn on blood and guts... or not.

And the corresponding start-line/turn 1 pileup.

It's completely moronic to have engine damage and not have that.
Oh, great. Sounds like by Gran Turismo 6, we'll be changing gaskets and shopping for the right size bolts.

the cr10,000 loan you get at the start, you have to pay off

As Tesco says: 'every little helps'

it would make it more real, and its not hard to do, is it?

Not necessarily. They should either give us a way to fix our engines (no matter whether it's simple or complicated), or make it so that they never lose power in the first place.

Customizing

-Writing on windshield
-Custom rims
-Custom rear lights
-Custom front lights
-Hood scoops
-Exhaust pipes/heads
-Body kits/Aero kits

Views

-All current views
-Inside car view (as if you are the driver)
-Hood view

Gameplay/Racing

-Clutch operation
-Manual transmissions (using the clutch)
-Automatic transmissions (so some people wont complain.AUTO's SUCK)
-Damage to car (as in mechanical failure)
-Rims falling off when you crash really hard
-MAKE TIRE WEAR MORE REALISTIC
-More realistic handling (make cars harder to control/ making them slide more)
-Car stalls when you are in gear 5 when you should be in gear 1
-Other reasons for cars stalling
-More realistic results for using the handbrake at high speeds (all it does in GT4 is slow you down by 5 km/h every second without any spinouts even when you turn the wheels)
-More louder engines at low rpms/speeds/idling (engine sound is almost non existant under 50 km/h or -2500 rpm in certain cars; you mostly hear the wind)

Tracks

-Eliminate the non-real tracks and replace them with new real tracks
-A city where you can drive (cars can have turn signals too)

AI

-Smarter
-Different driving skills
-Makes adjustments to pass you
-Moves aside when you need to pass them (like in real life when slow cars in like 15th place or so slow down and move aside to let the good drivers go by)
-Minimum 25 cars on the road for endurance races
-Minimum 15 cars on the road for series races
-Smarter AI = Qualifying rounds for all races (I can pass the stupid AI cars in a maximum of 1km in GT4 and they never catch up to me)
-Faster AI

My sister and I thought about this while returning from vacation...
How about being able (if there will be 40 or so cars anyways) to have multiple running cars in B-spec?
What I mean is this: Most teams in Le Mans have multiple cars on-track (Ford once had 13 GT40s, only 3 finished), so malfunctioning cars won't take your team out.
So our idea was, that you could B-spec, say, Le Mans, with two or three Pescarolos/Audis/Saubers, or, say, B-spec JGTC with 3 cars sponsored by Pennzoil (even two different cars, or in different classes). How 'bout it?

for me, I've always disliked having the rear-view mirror shown except when NOT using front bumper view, which is the one view I drive from. So, I 'hope' in the next incarnation of GT, PD allows the end-user to turn this off, seeig as in GT4, I can push a button on my wheel and see what's behind me...as well as what's to the left/right too!

I like this idea. I also want to repost my old idea: How about being able to change cars in the sub-menu screen during practices, etc. I hate how I have to go back to garage everytime to change cars.

Oh and Wolfe, I was just kidding! :D

numbers, your choice per car, your name on the window, more car controll, in pits with pit speed limiter button and drive through penaltys for speeding, maby a TC override button for F1 and controll from before the start to bring in reaction times and jump starts. oh and Mount Panorama, Bathurst

#1 I want full control at the pit stop, not the tractor-beam thing.

The player should be allowed to drive into the pit to the crew, mistakes, crashes or too much speed at the pit should lead you to time penalties. :)

That feature should be optional and off-turnable at the options menu.

#2 Real tire wear, racing tires dont wear out so fast, I still dont know why PD made them so weak.:indiff:

#3 Ground effect. If the car loses too much of it -by jumping over some bumps - at high speed it will go airbourne making some overturns. (Nothing too extreme)

how about (for the driving force pro lets say) being able to use the d-pad to cycle through settings that can be changed while driving (TC, LSD, Brake Bias, etc). find the one you want, press L3 (eg) to adjust it, then use d-pad again to increase or decrease setting?!

might be a bit advanced though. but hey, if F1 drivers can do it?!?

other than that what everyone else said - damage, more cars on track, AI, tire wear (super soft lasting 3-4 laps - WTF)

Why not for DS2? (or rather DS3), after all, current F1 games allow you to fiddle with brake bias and traction control with the D-Pad, it does force you to steer with the analogue, but it's worth it, analogue steering is better.

being able to burn out your engines ,ye its probably been mentioned somewhere, but when you use tuning company's parts, your car should be given the option to be dressed in that company's bodykits and decals (e.g tuning with mines, to be given Mines decals and bodykits).

this has probably been posted above too, but to be able to pick from a whole load of exhausts that actually change the cars noise.

finally to be able to flip the talller cars when going round corners too fast.

Bring in the Ferraris! :sly:

That would be interesting, although I'd also like to see them alter the car's performance as well - different designs have differing effects on power and torque. Keeping with realism, you'd probably have to limit it to the manufacturers/suppliers that deal with the specific model of car. Not every brand works for every car.

It's kind of similar to any of the performance upgrade parts - different brands have different properties and performance. It could be interesting with race strategies in deciding which parts (with their own individual strengths and weaknesses) to fit to a car for a particular race - but then again it could just make the game needlessly complicated.

One thing that would be nice to see, just as an afterthought, is a graphic improvement. If the cars are going to have internal hydraulic jacks to lift them off the ground, at least do the graphics for them. Although it's probably not a big deal, it looks totally ridiculous to have cars levitating a foot off the ground...

How about being able to choose the exhaust size? like being able to buy a 2 inch exhaust etc. or being able to choose crush bent or mandrel bent exhaust, and you could angle it off to the side?

i don't know if this was covered before, but i would like to see reverse lights when you reverse and a hear throaty muffler sound when you buy an exaust system with a large diameter tip. Oh and some jdm lips for the bumpers:sly:

Lots of JDM mods, and i'm sure everyone would be happy :D

I would really like to see a return of special stage route err II... i think?.. well the long night track. The GT1 version, not the GT2 one, that track is simply badass. Oh yeah, and redrock valley and grindleward (sp). Sorry if its been said before, but its hard to keep up with 60 odd pages of ideas. 👍

i only read a couple post so i wont be shocked if i bring up just about everything u guys have said..

the damn AI is horrible.. i have more fun doing laps by myself

i want my car to shread apart if i fly into a wall at 200+

let me race ONLINE!!!!!!

id love to have an incar view but if u dont atleast keep the hood view

the bumber cam with most stock cars is alittle out there dont u think? when i brake i should be able to see atleast 100 yrds in front of me on a flat road surface

bring back the car descriptions!

tight race regulations... i wanna earn my money, i want a reason to have the cars that i have... if i can beat half the game with 1 car wtf r the others for?

i think u had it right with gt1, u can make a stock car a race car in real life.. give us the option to put racing bodies on all of the cars maybe 3-4 bodies for each car?

steering with the thumbstick sucks.. i can never straiten the car out unless i use the d-pad... need for speed is nothing in comparison to gt but the thumbstick sure feels better.

i understand y u put the little 60 horse cars in the game but y is there 50 of them.. that could be 50 badass cars instead..... i wont get into what cars i want because this is not the place to do it but come on get all these gimp cars out of the game...also y have cars in the game that u cant even race?

i seen some1 said something about wanting better setting descriptions... me2!!!! ... or some kind of aid to help me tune... i go to tune a car and and instead i tune myself... i spend so much time racing it that i just adapt to the car instead of the car adapting to me, and i cant trust b spec.. the b-spec sucks.

no1 in there right mind would want to race a 24 hr race... and no1 in there right mind would want to let b-spec race for 24.... how much fun are these races really???? take them out anymore than a 3 hr endurace is just rediculous.

i cant think of anymore at the moment but give me a day lol...im not knockin PD but only pointing out what has bothered me for the past... ummmm 2 yrs???

ohh just thought of 1 more.... in 2 player battle make it possible to have a full screen reply like in the previous gts

I can tell you havn't been hear long
