I dont think anyone has addressed this. When I do burnouts I want the smoke to accumulate and make a big cloud! Thats what happens in real life! I dont think any game has that. All the smoke just evaporates in 2 seconds.

Reading a quick reply by someone. I'd have to agree with... better sound! I cant believe how over looked this is with the GT series. The sound is utter crap! From my list i have meant to put sound in but have forgotten so i'll make my vote count now. hhehe.

1) More real life tracks (bare minimum full 2006 F1 Cuircuits). And these tracsk to be created so that the car times are relevant to real car times.

2) A more featureful, usable, and professional User Interface. Why the hell so many button presses to get into and around areas or waiting for videos or menu's (if you add time up you'd see just how many hours you waste waiting for a race restart or the 5 seconds after you go past the finish line.. let us fast forward it if we want!). Why limitations with sharing lap times, replays, and merging times from other consoles or saves, etc etc

3) Realistic damn sound! (why is this so hard for them to acheive? so many other games have far better sound when it comes to engines).

4) Less feature deprived multiplayer. We want link consoles to be capable of split screen to start with just like in single player its possible already... AND in all tracks and modes and eat your heart out like a first person shooter. This area lacks so poorly its comparable to the pathetic sound department, actaully no, worse!

Sorry about the rant :P. But it pains me to see such a great physics/graphics engine that is GT3/4 get let down by its surroundings. So much potential there for 'next gen' stuff.

What car do you burnout in?? I use FF since its only car I CAN burnout.

In GT5, I want day-night transitions for the 24 hr races

I also want damage, a horn, a way to turn on and off headlights, blinkers, and emergency flashers.

Im just wondering, why would u need blinkers.
I do like the day-night transition idea. That would be a great addition to GT5.
Weather conditions would be nice to

LETS HAVE MORE CARS:)

i can think of some cars which GT4 doesn't have which i woldn't mind GT5 havin

and more smoke when driftin or doing a burnout cause it looks unrealistic in Gt4

1) Menu Shortcuts, much faster load times
2) When u tune ur car you should be able to pick parts that you want and then install/mount them all in once. In that way you spare alot of waiting/loading.

3) More AI cars, better AI mode
4) Better driving view

Morec cars is nice and all, but it didn't stop GT4 getting boring for me. They need to innovate and to make it more involving more than adding more cars.

Yes, but games with, many people saying Hello, much smoke, full of damage, cockpit view and many things that we like = much of bugs
GT4 is very realistic, dont' need this
Certo?

I forgot to add real-life gauges, and dash(will take ALOT of work). Also i want to be able to change spoilers from a manufacturer(I.E the 04 STI Spec C has a low wing, you should be able to put the bigger squareish one on). And some bodykits, nothing rice though, sometime like a Type R lip kit, or any lip kit at all.

Well I would like there to be a paintshop similar to the one forza but with more options as well as the chance to be able to turn a car into one of many of it's racing counterparts. With a function like that it could be possible to recreate other similar cars rather than having 10 versions of an NSX with a different paintjob and would give online players a chance to turn their set of wheels into something unique for their competitors

Another thing I'd really like to see in the game is fuel consumption which should vary from each car and should shown on the cars stats, and would give the chance for a better strategy along with various kinds of tyres during long races. Also carrying less fuel in the car should have an effect too with each computer controlled car having different refuelling/pit-stop strategies.

Racing teams is something I would like to be included in GT5, or an option to be able to become part of a sponsored racing team IE Being part of Team Shell could allow you acess to more of their sponsored cars, races as well as a discount on fuel. Pit-stop crews would also sport the team livery not just GT livery.

And after seeing a few races, it would be nice if the AI wasn't perfect and they did screw up from time to time like they do in Forza with single and group crashes that would either cripple them or send them out of the race. And with that GT5 could have engine failures, and other things that could cause problems for the cars effectively sending them out of the race like cars in the 24hr Races. There would have to be a good deal of cars though, even so, it would add a lot more realism to races

Invites to races would also be a cool idea, depending on how many races you've won or perhaps depending what place you came in a race you could invited to take part in future races IE finishing first in a Sebring race could allow you to be invited into the next Laguna Seca race.
There could be popularity too, it would be similar to Forza's idea but money would not fall into the equation, instead there could be percentage ratings for each company and everytime you drive one of their cars to victory could result in a special model/concept being unveiled for you to buy or manufacturer's races depending on the difficulty/length of the race. And whereas a loss of a race could result a rise in the companies prices and maybe less cars being available for sale or just nothing at all...

djblackmon, turn off all aids. Plug in the Dual Shock 2 controller. Rev the engine, let the tires start to spin and make smoke, then apply a little brake. It takes finess. But it ROCKS to see the car burnout at a constant RPM for as long as you want.

1. You should be able to have multiple saves on one memory card.(I had to buy a new one just to start a new save on GT4 >.<

2. You should be able to choose where you live, like Germany. Then be able to drive around the city going to car dealers, highways, or race tracks. Also add in an airport to change towns.(would be a lot of work, but would be cool)

Why does everyone want current F1 curcuits? Did anyone see the Bahrain race. Thats got to be the most boring curcuit ever built. I wouldnt want to race on that. If its possible I would want old school F1 curcuits. Like the old Monza with the Parabola for example, or even Spa (imagine that in the rain :D). Targo Floria perhaps?

Besides that, has anyone mentioned brake fade? I doubt a Ford Lighting can go around the 'Ring without any brake fade. I'm just using that as a example. I bet 90% of the street cars in GT4 would expericence some sort of fade of just one lap of the 'Ring. Right now its like all the cars have carbon brakes where there isnt any fade at all.

Another thing I thought of is its great that there is a wet version of Tsubuka, or however you spell it, but what about the other courses? Or even better, during one of the endurance races, we'll will use the 24hr 'Ring race for example, why cant there be a portion of the track wet and other portion of the track dry? For example lets say you are just starting a lap, and its dry, then you get to Bergwerk and there is a little shower so the track is wet. So for the next couple miles (remember this is a 12.xx mile track) its wet, and then you get to the Wipperman and its dry again. It would add a extra challenge while also making the game more realisitic and (I think) fun.

I hope that last paragraph made sense. I kinda whipped through.

Erm... Since when can it rain on only a couple of miles of that track? Remmember that clouds don't drive on a track... So for them, it's the same as a 4-mile radius circle. And winds won't allow them to stay on one section of the track only (well, not in germany at least). It'll either pour down on all the track, or not at all

The Ring is huge, it's happened many times for it to raining at one part of the track and not the rest, or to be raining over most of the track and dry on area ect. You are correct that the rain cloud will be moving, so the area of track it's covering will change over the course of a race, but te ring is one of the bigger tracks and as a result better know for it having different weather at different points, but that can happen at any track, hell I've seen it raining at the bottom of my back garden and not in the front once. Rain clouds have edges, if that edge happens to be halfway across a race track then it will not be raining all over the track, if the cloud is covering all the track then it will be.

For me, it always rained in really large areas. I never expirienced a thing like you did... So it didn't seem logical to me at first. And, german weather won't allow this. If it rains, it'll rain the whole ****ing day. And you'll have something like a thick, dark, grey wall above you, and you'll feel miserable the whole day, because your money just fell into the rain. German weather is simple: Rain everywhere, or Sun everywhere. But snow is only on the place where you're not (if you want it to snow), or where you are (if you don't want it to).

The Ring is well known for being wet in one part of the track and dry on the other. Ask anyone who knows about that track, do a Google search or whatever, it's well known to have different weather on one side the track to the other, to be raining in one section and not the other. Just because a rain cloud is bigger (and we do get big ones here that cover more than one county sometime) doesn't mean it still has no edges to it, edges which can still happen to be over one half or one section of a track and not another.

This also happens very often at Spa ... and Le Mans.

Right. Sorry...

It'd be nice to have this in-game, but it would have to move. And have realistic drying (I don't suppose the track would remain wet for more than two or three laps after the rain ceased)

It would depend on the track, the number of cars on the track and how much it was raining, I've seen it stay wet for the entire lenth of a race at Silverstone in Touring cars. On the other hand I've seen a track dry very fast in the DTM. Th more cars in the grid the more the water is being chucked off the racing line, (which would be the firstpart of the track to dry) and also some tracks dont drain as well as others.
