This game had so many awesome cars that we'll never see again

-> ...
I don't get the point in that list... Are that cars that where in past GT's but aren't in GT5, isn't it? In that case, Aston Martin DB7 Coupé is in GT5. Isn't it the same car?
^ Well pretty much from GT1 up to GT4. I made that list on this thread HERE.

DB7 Issue -> The DB7 that was featured in GT1 & GT2 is different compared to the to the one featured in GT5:

DB7 (w/ the straight-6 engine) featured in GT1 & GT2

In Italy we miss that Lancia variety that Gt2 and no other featured. In GT2 there are four Deltas, starting from the MR S4 and covering some of the evolution of the model, with the Integrale 8V (or HF Integrale) and with the Integrale Evoluzione and even the only-japanese market Integrale Collezione, probably one of the last series Lancia made. I don't care much of the Collezione, as it's exactly the same as the Evoluzione to drive, but there's some difference between them and the HF Integrale 8v, starting from the styling (less muscles) and from the power 175HP instead of above 200. None of the following chapters featured the 8V which - my opinion - was more pleasant to drive in GT2. Everytime a new GT is released I hope something for the Delta's, you know, they are very similar, and I think it costs less time to make one and modify in order to obtain the 3d model for the other ones than making the same number of truly different cars. Delta LX, 1,6 Turbo, HF, HF Integrale, I. Evoluzione and Collezione could be obtained in not much time and they're all very good cars with quite different characters...

One day I was bored and counted the number of cars exclusive to GT2. I believe I came up with almost 200, counting the Japanese tuner cars.  It's a shame future GT's used craptacular clones of Skylines instead of the unique models seen back in 1999.

I can't believe on how many great cars were in GT1 & GT2 that PD couldn't bring to the later GT games. I understand cars like the vectors & venturi cars, but why not cars by car makes that they have the license for already? Cars like the 1992 Dodge Viper RT/10, 1966 Aston Martin DB6, & 1998 Mercedes-Benz C 43 AMG were never put in another gt game.

I think PD should consider bringing those cars back for GT6 before coming up with new car models.

alfa romeo 145q clover leaf lovely car
I thought that GT2 was the only game to feature it; actually it survived the 64bit era in "Sega GT 2002" for the xbox. A pity they didn't put it into the game, it could be a cheap alternative to the 147 in the GT5 used cars dealer.

Yes, that's quite strange. For Gt4 they made the 90s coupè version, the SRT10 version, the 2002 concept version and not the original Viper, which is by far the most beautiful of the series.
For the Aston, I don't know who was miopic, if they or Aston Martin itself in choosing the car... why did they put in GT3 and 4 the old, heavy, crappy V8 Vantage when they could put that fine 60s sports car?

Some of the best cars in the whole series appeared in GT2 only... it's extremely frustrating!!! :ouch:

The Cultus, Vector M12, Renault Espace F1, Venturi Atlantic, Ford GT90, Chrysler Phaeton... lists goes on...

:guilty:

^ Yeah mainly the Plymouth PT Spyder, Dodge Copperhead, Acura Integra GS-R, Honda S2000 GT1, Lotus Elise GT1, Shelby Daytona Coupe, & Victor W8. :indiff:

I really miss the RM version of the Skyline GTR KPGC10, a.k.a Hakosuka.

Ohhh the Dodge Cooperhead... my all time unicorn car... :(

Couldn't get it on GT1 and GT2... :nervous: Got a scale model of it... but momma broke it accidentally... That car and me were meant to be far far away from each other... I think... :guilty:

^ Huh!? :odd:

OT -> The Purple Eggplant seen here on GT1:

^ Can be easily aquired on the Arcade Mode by just racing each track on its highest difficult setting each class.

BT -> On GT2 on the other hand the Copperhead/Concept Car is a prize car.

:)

I did get the purple/yellow one in GT1 and the Silver one in GT2 ... I meant the original, orange Cooperhead from the Dodge Dealership... :guilty:

Now that I think of it, I don't think PD put much thought into the cars the choose to put. It's odd to me too on how they programed the '98 v8 vantage into the ps2 GT games when they could have put the classic DB6 in it.

A few other cars I liked in GT2 that I haven't seen in the later games were mostly the race cars.
There was some great, older JGTC cars in this game that could have been in the later games. It's quite a shock to me since Kaz seems to like the Japanese Touring Cars. I also liked the racing mods for some of the cars such as the Ford Mondeo, '96 Nissan Primera/Infiniti G20, & the '96 Honda Accord Racing paint.

^ Its a prize car in GT1, but I forgot where to get it. :indiff:

and golding the B tests is not that hard, patience young Skywalker! and probably the most worth it, though the del Sol LM is pretty badass, too. I-A and Special are the two I've yet to gold.

Yeah, I miss the Cultus & Escudo Pikes Peak's, the Renault Espace F1, the Shelby Daytona, the Copperhead, the Plymouths, the endless tuner versions of Japanese cars, the race cars from all the different late 90's years, the endless rally cars; OH WHY OH WHY OH WHY DOES STUPID KAZ START EVERY GT GAME NEARLY FROM SCRATCH NEARLY EVERY TIME, SINCE ALL THESE CARS COULD HAVE BEEN OR COULD BE IN GT4/PSP/5/6?!?!?!
:irked: :banghead:
I'm not sure how high or low my hopes are for GT6...
:nervous:

Thanks I just bought that car in-game recently after blazing through that Gran Turismo All-Stars Red Rock Valley race that gives 550,000 credits from the race and prize car two times for one million. :dopey: :dunce:
