Nice one Pyrelli 👍
You've inspired me to have a go with the skylinei got 309mph on the first run with just a random gear setup without putting too much though in so who knows what will happen...
..But I did, however, get a decent speed in another one. Pyrelli's gonna get a kick outta this....[/I]
Hey Crimson, nice work with the old McLaren..👍 I actually forget what speed I got with it but I can bet from your post it was pretty close.
Sadly the PS didn't make it up the road with me to uni so no more runs for a while from me. I'm sure I'll nick that one back soon though

Just saw this thread so thought I'd have a go...

Please read the rules in post #1 before posting. Thanks.
As far as I can see I haven't broken any of the rules?
i got 300.67 in the Nissan R92CP Race Car 300.67
i think i could hit more if the track was longeri am going to try this "314mph" that mmcm-80 was talking about.

I`m wondering why there is test track oval, not a wide and very long 100km or even endless, that we can test the real max speed. I think I can`t test max cars speed in oval track, because of steering and finally it`s too short to get out max.
Ehra-Lessien or however you spell it would be nice to have in GT5.
I think we all agree that an endless/extended strip would definately give a higher top speed at some point along the track; but as it stands, given the distance used on the max speed test, it lets you get near enough the most out of the cars and makes for an easy comparison. I can't say for sure but I remember being under the impression that on GT4 the test track is much wider and longer than before.
You can also imagine it would get very complicated here if we had to factor in the distance driven.
