Nice one Pyrelli 👍

You've inspired me to have a go with the skyline :) i got 309mph on the first run with just a random gear setup without putting too much though in so who knows what will happen...

Good luck with the Skyline and hope it goes well, make sure you use the V-spec II Nur '02 though. I made the mistake of starting with a normal v-spec edition and it was slower on the same settings.

Once again, best of luck with the Skyline ;)

my toyota supra hits 293 mph without breaking the advanced rules. if anyone is interested i'll record it on video, i can either tape it with my camera or record it straight to a DVD from the playstation.. with 5.1 surround sound =P
i think i also have the fastest subaru around if anyone has any questions just message me

Not to state the terribly obvious, but 293mph isn't 300mph, so it's not quick enough here ;)

Keep trying, if you look at the Leaderboard you'll find plenty of Supras that have exceeded 300mph. :)

As for your 'fastest Subaru', just how fast is that? A lot of Spec C. Imprezas have been around 270mph, probably more, but I can't remember details of that - nothing official was ever posted, as it's generally accepted that no Subaru is capable of 300mph.

It's been kinda slow in here lately, so's I went and took some hopefuls down to the test course. I've been trying hard to get the c5 corvette racecar to hit the big three-o-o, but I'm stuck at 293. It's in the tranny. I just can't get the gearing right.

But I did, however, get a decent speed in another one. Pyrelli's gonna get a kick outta this. :)

Hopefully I see a little more action in these parts soon. It's like a friggen ghost town! :indiff:

Oh, nice one... :)

I think everyone's taking a break at the moment, or playing on PS3s... But, so you guys know in advance, if you've got any speeds that you want up - I'm going to Germany this Thursday (the 4th), and won't be back until Friday the 12th.

Congratulations, anyway, and it's good to see a car I brought into the Club being worked on :)

Hey Crimson, nice work with the old McLaren..👍 I actually forget what speed I got with it but I can bet from your post it was pretty close.

Sadly the PS didn't make it up the road with me to uni so no more runs for a while from me. I'm sure I'll nick that one back soon though :P

i got 300.67 in the Nissan R92CP Race Car 300.67 :D

i think i could hit more if the track was longer :P i am going to try this "314mph" that mmcm-80 was talking about.

I`m wondering why there is test track oval, not a wide and very long 100km or even endless, that we can test the real max speed. I think I can`t test max cars speed in oval track, because of steering and finally it`s too short to get out max.

I think we all agree that an endless/extended strip would definately give a higher top speed at some point along the track; but as it stands, given the distance used on the max speed test, it lets you get near enough the most out of the cars and makes for an easy comparison. I can't say for sure but I remember being under the impression that on GT4 the test track is much wider and longer than before.

You can also imagine it would get very complicated here if we had to factor in the distance driven.

I think using the test track is much better than an extended or unlimited strip would be. First off as Pyrelli mentioned a set distance is required because if it takes say a mile for one car to go 310mph and it takes another car 2 miles to hit that speed, then they do not deserve be next to each other on the boards.

Also, this is first and foremost a GT racing game, not a drag racing game, therefore having the banked corner means you have to keep certain settings in check so that you don't fly up the bank and learn how to do 18 360's in the air. If the track was straight then steering settings wouldn't matter and little skill would be required.

I just saw this thread and WOW!!!
Im going to try to do some high speed tests
I read the stats :P

I hate to bursts someones bubble but a TK ZZII is a racing car(no if's and's or but's), It has been since gt2 and will be.
