Believe me man, I've thought the same thing dozens of times over the last 10 months. Here's a top that helps though. It always calibrates to the left side first so you can turn your wheel to the left after you shut it down so that when it starts up, it only spins to the right side violently, however you can also simply place your fingers lightly on the wheel rim while its turning and it will slow it down enough that it won't hit the stops quite so hard. It won't affect the calibration at all.

Ahh i see, cool thanks for the tip man.

That's an idea, I think I'll use my palm to slow the calibration down when it starts up to avoid the CLUNK.

Greetings all!

I have gone through many of the pages of this thread to try and find a couple of answers to my questions and found a "fix" but not happy that I should have to fix some thing I just purchased for a lot of money.

I got a T300 on Friday and am very impressed with it. My first wheel was the Logitech DFGT and this is leaps and bounds a more impressive wheel. Of course it is also leaps and bounds more expensive LOL. I read a lot of people are having issues with the wheel but luckily mine is fine, very quiet, no clicks, and very strong FFB. The pedals on the other hand I am not so impressed with, not so much the pedals but the fact that I think mine do not work right.

I only have two games to use the wheel with at the moment: Driveclub and The Crew. I am waiting for Project Cars to be released. I started up DC and was excited to race with my new wheel, pinned the pedal to the floor and slowly pulled away from the start line like my grandfather driving my grandmother to bingo. Then when I hit the brakes to go into a tight corner I kept going. The pedals definitely are not working properly. In The Crew it seems to be the same but not as bad as DC. I find that in The Crew I am definitely not getting top speed.

Now I want to test the pedals with the calibration software but I have a Mac and they don't have one for Mac. Thrustmaster should really make a calibration/firmware updating app for the PS4 seeing as how it is a PS4 branded wheel. In the mean time I am trying to borrow a laptop to update my firmware and check the calibration.

Now the questions:
- Do I have a faulty pedal set? Or will the calibration software fix my issue?
- if the calibration software won't fix my issue, will Thrustmaster replace the pedals?
- If they don't, will the instructions from Roh fix it? Not that I want to do that or have a clue what I would be doing.

OR is it just the games and I am over reacting?

Thanks,
JD

I have the T300 but I'm using G27 pedals. I also have a mac and was trying to calibrate my shifter today and realized they don't have firmware for macs. My only suggestion would be to play GT6 if you have a PS3 and check in game to see what you're getting on the pedals.

Also, there is a thread specifically dedicated to the T300 pedals. If I can find it, I'll link it here.

The T300RS connected on the PS4 with the PS3 mode on is reconized as a T500, so... i think in the PS3 it's reconized as a T500 too...

The TX has been out a lot longer than the T300 and they haven't fixed it on the TX yet and its even more violent than the T300. As stated in my previous post though, my TX has never broken after 10 months of use even with the violent calibration.

Sorry, I'm a newbie on thrustmaster. But which TX works on ps4? Cause I really want t300rs but it's just to expensive as time pass by waiting for PCARS..

Please reply anyone thank you in advance.

The TX 458 Italia wheel rim works on the PS4 when attached to the T500 or T300 base, the TX base does not work on PS4.

Just made a e-brake handle for my t300 :D Now drifting is waaay easier than pushing the R2 button on the wheel :D 10917656_797450536976735_1281839970_n.jpg 10921833_797450540310068_470083717_n.jpg 10934211_797450526976736_114465627_n.jpg

the only thing it does is pushing the r3 button when pulling :D

Got mine today from game UK.

Been out of stock for ages at £250 on Amazon and Game. However on wednesday game suddenly had some stock, i must have just got one in time as they went out of stock after i had paid.

Anyway i thought the wheel itself would be bigger in diameter. Its the same size of the G25 its replacing. Bit dissapointed there ads thats really my only gripe.

Quality is really excellent apart from the loose feeling pedals but they arnt staying.

Force feedback is super smooth and fast as people have said. Im finding it easier to control RWD cars on GT6 as more information is been communicated especially on breaking.

Wheel is soo quiet too compared to my G25 and no cluncking from the brushless motor. Gears in the G25 were very clunky.

However what this wheel has made me realise is just how excellent my G25 is/was. I paid £170 for it many years ago and now i realised it was money well spent.

If the g25 would work with the ps4 then i would have kept it but anyway the T300RS should last the lifetime of the Ps4 and then some and only cost me £250...well 450-500 after the new pedals and shifter.

Now T3PA and TH8A....where are you........Thrustmaster UK wont stock them until 2nd Feb.......

then roll on Project Cars.

I just bought the pedals of the T500 to my T300 and now i'm waiting for it to arrive. My first plan was to buy the shiffter but... i can't find it here in Brazil and the sites that i found(ebay, amazon uk, shopto), this specific item isn't delivered to Brazil, what a shame...

Found the T500 pedals for R$ 499,00, something around US$ 189,00 + shipping. I think it's a really good price.

Driveclub is making me crazy, the online is chaos and sometimes the car react strange in different situations with no aparrent reason.

I'll put my bet on ProjectCars, March just don't come.

PS: I downloaded LFS to my notebook and it runs fine but... the T300RS just don't get to work fine with the game. Anyone knows how to calibrate it to work fine, just lost more than a hour trying to make it work but i gave up.

LFS will work with the T300. I've used my TX with LFS and its basically the same wheel. LFS is just really old so you basically have to set everything up manually.

The pedals are inverted, the gas pedal brakes the car and the gas pedal make it stop, really awkward. The wheel rotation looks to have 45º and it's not centered, even tought it's set with 720º on the game.

I looked on google to someone with a similar problem and i found nothing. I'll try again and see what i can do.

Just want to say thanks again, your tips worked like a charm, thanks man.

It can be configured properly, its just a pain because the game is so damn old.

Thanks for mentioning another thread about the pedals. It made me look around and I did find a thread (don't remember which one it was ). Someone posted that the manual states the pedals auto calibrate themselves. So I took out my manual, and looked through it. At the very back on page 14 it does state this. I realized it was my fault my pedals weren't working properly as I hooked up my wheel wrong and I believe one time I had pushed on a pedal while the wheel was calibrating.

So today I tried a new way of hooking up my wheel. In this order, I completely shut down my PS4 (normally I keep it in rest mode). I plugged in my pedals, then plugged the USB cable in to the PS4, then plugged in the power cord. Turned on the PS4 and did not touch the wheel or pedals until the wheel stopped its routine. Loaded up The Crew and hit the gas and my car launched off the line the way it is supposed to. Hit the brakes and actually stopped hard. Loaded up Driveclub and it works now too. So my pedal issues were because of me :banghead:. Now I just need my Wheel Stand Pro to arrive.

Thrustmaster should move page 14 to the front of the user manual... Or I should start reading the whole user manual.

Thanks
JD

Thanks for sharing your experience, it will help others. And don't feel too bad about looking a bit silly, it happens to everyone and you had a good excuse: who reads more than 2 pages of a manual guide when there's the excitement of playing with a brand new toy?

Hi.. Unfortunately, it doesn't work.. :(

has anyone else got an order waiting with Amazon (UK)? Had an email from them saying my T300 will be with me next week. Hopefully this set is in full working order.

Let me just state that I finally got round to trying Richard Burns Rally with the T300 this weekend.

It's awesome.

I was feeling little nuances like different vibrations in the wheel as you ride over different types of gravel or mud, the dynamic range felt superb (less powerful than a T500 at maximum, but gives so much nuance of little forces that you get a lovely amount of useable FFB range). I love how smooth and easy you can spin the wheel around, I felt more in control of a rally car than with any previous wheel.

Now if only my TH8A would arrive, I need a handbrake!

I've got a question. I want a t300 but am holding off because I don't have a racing game on ps4. Should I wait until I get project cars? Or upgrade now. The only reason I'd use it is for gt6. My current g25 gt wheel is making some funny noises when steering like something is loose inside the wheel.

If you have the money now, I'd buy it now. The stocks are low so you may have to wait a few weeks and miss out on Project CARS release date if you delay too much.

Also, the price is currently £250 at Amazon UK (for example), which is quite a good deal compared to the usual £300.

You can enjoy it on GT6 and Driveclub should be fun enough while waiting for Project CARS.
Having a DFGT, it's an easier choice for me as I don't lose out on the pedals side...

I finaly configured the T300 to LFS and... the game is really fun!!

Thinking in buy the S1 package but... i don't know.

Rfactor could run on my laptop if the video card was a little better. And yes, the wheel on a proper FFB game is sooo amazing!! So march, come on already! And GT7 too. *-*

Can't wait to my T500 pedals to arrive... i was planning to get my cockpit started but, today the plans of my life could change in a drastic way, and maybe i have to move from my actual home.

I can say T300RS + gt6 is Awesome..
T300RS + Driveclub ? It's okay..
T300RS + The CREW ? Pesonally... it's holly trash..
