Hi all,

First post here. I received my T300 GTE on NYE and it's the first wheel I've had since the early PS3 days when I purchased a Logitech wheel that was about 80-100 pounds (can't remember the name). Boy, is the T300 is impressive! I was blown away by its feedback. I've never felt more connected to an in-game car.

However, as I played Drive club I realised there was something not quite right. Being a bit cautious through a corner in a more powerful car I tried to ease the power on and to my surprise realised I was getting no action out of the accelerator until I hit 50% travel... so I tried the brake and guess what, same result. Thinking it may have been DriveClub, I loaded up The Crew and again had the same issues.

At this stage I decided maybe it was time for a firmware update so I turned on my gaming rig and hooked the T300 up and installed the new software. In the TM Control Panel it shows the pedals working fine from around a 10% dead zone (which I wouldn't mind at all). So, now I'm wondering if this is a PS4 related issue and decide it's time to try it with pCars on PC. The feedback in that game is incredible but I was unable to drive how I wanted to due to the fact that the brakes were literally like an on/off switch. When my foot reached 50% travel the brakes would jam on and the car would slow down way more than I intended. I tried playing with the sensitivity settings etc. and still couldn't get any improvement.

The thing I'm confused about is why in the control panel they're showing as working ok? I've seen a review on amazon of a guy who had the same problem with the whole 50% travel before any action but he didn't mention whether this was in-game or in the control panel.

I really don't want to send it back cos I've fallen in love with the actual wheel but is it my best option? I'd just buy the T3PAs if they were available :(

What you say about deadzone on DriveClub and The Crew kind of echoes my earlier post (only I seem to have less DZ):
It also seems to me that in both Driveclub and The Crew, there seems to be an additional default deadzone. In these games I have about 10-20% deadzone, while in GT6 it's almost none (stock T300 pedals).

Thrustmaster should provide each parts seperately. (ex., base, rim, brake...etc)
This is genuin eco-system.!

I am PS4 user, and my DREAM setting will be T300rs Base (100% ps4 support including clutch in 'the crew'), T500rs Rim(personnally, this is my favorite size), T500rs brake(It looks better than T3PA), Basher mod, Th8A.

Then... I SHOULD BUY both t300 and t500 set.. It's insane.

And Thrustmaster should distribute enough stock for the market. Nowadays, they are almost sole -wheel distributor for PS4 system, But lots of my order has been pending now~!

Hi,
Have you upgraded your firmware(v24)? I'm not sure, but I don't have severe deadzone problem with my 300rs(Driveclub&Crew). I am assuming you might feel neccessary of upgrading pedal soon..
I hope you solve this problem.

The only new firmware release notes don't say anything about the pedals, only fan adjustments and power usage.
As the pedals work perfectly fine with GT6 I assumed it had to do with the games.

just got the wheel and when playing gt6 i only get 50% brakes and when playing the crew on ps4 i get no brakes anyone who can help me here

Sound like the exact same problem I had. You can either send it back (as it's faulty) or try and fix it yourself. There is a guide on how to fix it somewhere in this thread. Know that by taking it apart yourself, you void the warranty.

So I've decided on a wheel I'm going to get the thrust master t300 Ferrari racing wheel. I'm upgrading from my g25 so I can use my ps4 aswell What are people's thoughts? I'm looking to get a racing seat as well but have no idea what type of seat I should get.

dunno if someone already posted this

If you can add more tension/force tighten it or stretch it more away from the belt.. or rotate the belt to realigned the belt teeth with the motor.

Now I understand what people are talking about when there's a loud notch or click.. it's their belt! Try tingling with it.. move it around or tighten it.. but remember slack is your friend..

Nice wheel choice. You probably won't be able to use share button or option..

Try looking at evo play seats. Or look on amazon for play seats it's cheap..

Try reading the T300GTE manual and you will see that share button support is present on the GTE rim just like the PS rim of the T300RS. It's available by clicking the manettino switch left iirc....

The belt does not have enough tension. loosen the four Phillips Head screws at the motor front plate and raise the motor a bit at a time and tighten the screws and retest. If this does not solve the problem then the motor drive gear does not have the proper tooth pitch to match the drive belt cogs. In this case the drive gear would need to be replaced.

I don't own the wheel yet, but I seen a review of the gte rim, Darren said hes not sure if it works. But hey. That's cool, that it works.

On the PC they are very similar. Differences:
- TX is 900 degrees, T300 is 1080
- same pedal set but different metal pedal faces
- T300 comes with a metal, heavier rim (GTE or PS), TX comes with a very light plastic F458 replica rim.
- TX has an Xbox IR light at the top of the wheelbase, but the internals, belts and motor appear otherwise identical
- TX has an Xbox button, T300 has a PS3/PS4 switch. You can't use TX on Playstation or T300 on Xbox One of course.

Thank you!

I am new to video games, been holding off for years, but finally decided to get a ps4 with the t300.Hope this isn't obvious, but when connecting the wheel to a computer and playing around with the settings(pic below),do these settings only effect games played on the computer or do the settings also carry over my ps4??

So guys, my T300 arrived 3 days ago and only today i was able to really play with it. The wheels works fine and wiered noises or any kind of problem!! Thanks God!!

The pedals work fine with DriveClub and has something around 7-10% of deadzone. In GT6(that i borowed from a friend) has something around 15% of deadzone, that is high but are acceptable. I didn't pluged the wheel to the PC and made the updates, i'll do it soon tough.

The wheel is very different from the DFGT from Logitech, the way the wheel moves and react are more smoother and my brain didin't get it yet. But in the GT6 drifts the counter-steering is waaay more realistc and easy to do, really a improvement here.

So.... i have a question, i'm looking for a shiffter, the TH8A is really hard to find and is really expensive... does the G27 shiffter works whitou problem on the PS4/PS3 or the wheel in general? I cost of the wheel was R$ 2.300,00(USD 900,00), really, REALLY expensive. The G27 shifter is in a really good price on the ebay and i'm thinking of getting one for now.

What do you guys think?

PS: Yeah, my english sucks.

From what I've read, the connectors on the Thrustmaster are like (or are) RJ-11 connectors, making them incompatible with the Logitech accessories.
There may be adapters, though, but we'll need help from other members for that.

Only PC.

Not my video, but good demostration of what causes those clicks. I have another problem with random button presses, unfortunately they happen approx. once a month so really hard to return it with obvious fault.

Some IR photos of T300RS (sorry for quality, it's low-end IR camera)
