I've tried the golf ball idea and I don't really like it.
I've ordered some rubber feet as shown in the thread started by Darin and will report back when I receive them. According to his video, it works well, though.

After 6 months, i think that there is any problem when the wheel is calibrating. In the PS4 or in the PC the problem is the same.
Holy **** did it do that out the box out has it started to happen after working OK?

I'm sure they can maybe try to send you a link to reset the software to factory settings or something. That is mental. A small child etc could seriously hurt themselves with that

after one and a half months without any problem random button presses strikes back

I'm keeping this wheel as for now to see if problem goes into more severe state. And maybe return it later this year.

Well, today it happen to me once but i thought that i have press the share button occasionally but after your video.....hummm

Interesting overview from Thrustmaster themselves comparing their Playstation compatible FFB wheels:
http://www.thrustmaster.com/fr_FR/societe/thrustmaster-racing-wheel-finder

(and since I own both the T500 and T300, I have to say that Thrustmaster's relative statements about the two products are very fair)
Yes skazz. It was that article and comparative table which decided me on the t300RS. Prior to reading it I had thought the 500 was the most recent model, and likely to be the better of the two for me.

Hi guys I'm new here and need some help with my t300 it won't change mode I'm using t500 pedals and a th8a shifter on ps3 / ps4 everything works fine but I want to invert the pedals to gt position which requires you to press mode for 2 seconds and electronically change the gas and clutch pedal over well I've tried and tried and my t300 does nothing just stays red any ideas or suggestions anyone else have this issue ??? The only time it sorta works is if I press the clutch down n press mode it goes green only when u press gas pedal n u end up with 2 gas pedals ??

which rim is it?

T300RS but R3 button is on the base

Well, today it happen to me once but i thought that i have press the share button occasionally but after your video.....hummm

on mine wheel it can be share, PS, option, R3 button totaly random and usually more than one button is pressed at once, but it does only once a month on the average.

Guys what on earth is deemed normal or standard power up & down behaviour of this wheel?

I'm on my second (because of the pedals) and they're not the same. The first one always moved left a little and then calibrated. The second one is reversed in that sense. Also the first one always did a recalibration at the end of each session. The second one doesn't. Also the first one never needed recalibrated & in the same amount of time my second has needed centered & recalibrated a few times.

Ive seen the posts of violent malfunctioning wheels & an half expecting mines to devope more problems down the line in sheer paranoia!

I don't know if my wheel is behaving normal, but when PS4 is powered up from rest mode, wheel moves clockwise a little then calibrating (full counterclockwise then full clockwise then to centered position). It never recalibrates on the PS4+Driveclub.

After seeing this I thought I would post my issue.

My wheel sometimes jumps to photo mode in the middle of a race on drive club. This is only achievable by pressing the touch pad on the standard ps4 controller (I think). Its done it 4 times since xmas but i've been using the wheel for quite a lot of hours. Maybe 75 hours, so its not a massive deal but still annoying.
At first I thought I must have caught a button by accident but its become obvious that its not me. Anyone else having this? Maybe its drive club and not the wheel..........

overall, this wheel is absolutely awesome though, I don't find the pedals bad at all, but I've not experienced the top notch ones. Compared to some wheels they are still good however.

So interestingly enough I received an email from Thrustmaster in less than 24hr's about the lack of FFB and apparently its the wheel protecting itself from damage.
The internals turn the FFB down until it cools down, when the fans are running and cooling it will slowly increase the FFB.
I also did the firmware update last night which I noticed that the cooling fans came on alot earlier. Added to this I did turn down the torque and FFB settings, I prefer alot of FFB when racing as I can feel more of what the car is doing but thats just me.

I'm having this same issue on the PC, wheel goes totally limp once you're start understeering. It didn't used to be like this but now it's crap. I've reinstalled everything, reset all settings, nothing makes a difference. It happens on all my sims except GT6. I've alerted Thrustmaster, they take weeks to reply and so far have been of no help at all. Thing is, this happens as soon as I take a car out on track, within minutes of starting everything up, so it can't be that the wheel's getting too hot.

Anyone have any other suggestions on this? I'm at a complete loss and haven't been able to drive/race for a couple weeks now because the wheel feels terrible on the PC. Feels fine on the PS3 though. :indiff:

After update even wheel can go into photomode (R3)

The T300RS - and a bunch of other Thrustmaster kit - is on sale at Zavvi at the moment: http://www.zavvi.com/elysium.search?search=thrustmaster

£189 for the T300RS is the cheapest I've seen it, and the TH8A is now £10 less on Zavvi than on Amazon
Wow great find sir. Taking the known niggles into account anyone know what Zavvi's returns service is like? We all know how worry free Amazons is and this is a real deal breaker for me.:dunce:

That's a more reasonable price, & I'm almost tempted. But then I remember how many problems there are with the T300 RS wheel, how awful Thrustmaster customer service generally is, & how I'm still angry with them for the PS4 exclusivity deal. I think I'll stick with my G25 for a bit longer, it's almost 6 years old & still going strong!

:D

Finally registered today to post these deals and have been beaten to it, damnit!
Got my T300RS just under a month ago for £234, double damn! :banghead:

Very tempted by the TH8A.

My wheel has developed a slight grunching(sic) noise; kinda sounds like a gear tooth is skipping or the motor is struggling to keep up when I'm drifting. My accelerator pedal just started squeaking yesterday too, has anyone had this happen?
Thinking of returning the whole lot under the 30 day Amazon returns deal and saving myself the £45 for the wheel and putting it towards the TH8A.

Mine moves slightly to the right before going to full calibration, but only on GT6. When I use it on my PS4, it doesn't do that.

You might be able to get another 10% off that Zavvi price if new customer with WELCOME discount code and another 2%/1% cashback on it: Link

Worth a try but they might have stopped it for console stuff regarding the 10%.
