You should try the same race setup on ps5 for an accurate comparison. Sometimes things like track temp vary slightly which can make a big difference. 59.38 seems excessively fast. I can't recall anyone reporting that time for the actual TT using controller.Im done with getting fooled on Dualsense.
I recreated road atlant on ps4 with Dualshock, after 4 laps i hit a 59,384.
Im not willing to waste my time anymore for those TT until PD even it out and gave us the same ability in steeringspeed or match it at least like on ps4.
Thanks for nothing PD 🤬
Edit. I matched all lobby settings exept for temp because tt didnt tell you the temp…You should try the same race setup on ps5 for an accurate comparison. But interesting that you saw such a big difference in your times for this TT as well.
If you turn trigger effect off on ps5 do you see similar differences in time?
You can use ds4 on ps5 i think if you install the PS4 version of the game on your psdid the test after patch 1.16. i copy paste all settings. Even the lobby settings i was able to match after close restart close restart until it matched. I did the same now.
With the gold time dropping by over 0.4s overnight, it’ll end up being 0.5% gold 🤣 I wonder how much they can improve at the top.Well it's early days and only 31k people have taken part so far.
Also this TT is nuts. 100th place is 2.4% off 1st, more than double the average to date of 1.11%.
Annoyed that I'm away until next week as this is going to be hard work. Did just 2 laps on Thursday before we left and am on 7:12...

This one feels better. I first tried kie’s but it slides too much for me. Done a few semi attempts today but that’s enough torture on Christmas.I've tried MCA's tune, I've tried Kie's tune, both are way too slippery...after a few hours though, I managed to stabilize the rear end somewhat, at least to a comfortably manageable level. This thing does not like to ride low. The higher I put it, the more grip I got in the rear. Stiff dampers and a soft suspension will absorb the bumpy track well, stiff front compression and rear expansion will help keep the car in line under braking, but you'll still need to be careful. A slight rake angle improved downforce on the rear end and allowed the car to turn in better at low speed. Wide body, wide tire offset, roll cage...all other things standard iirc.
I have a rare engine part installed, a "high lift camshaft S", not sure how that affects the car, but I guess it's worth noting. These things mess with the max rpm of the car, which affects the gear ratios.
Yes, I did move the ballast all the way to the back. Yes, it does improve traction, but only if your rear end is not riding too low.

If you can do that, please let us know your results. I don't have access to PS4.Interesting...I guess I actually need to boot up PS4 just to see if there's a clear difference.
Just make sure you do this with both PS4 & PS5. The time trial challenges may have different weather/time settings from what you're capable of setting up yourself (this is why we cannot fully replicate GTWS rounds in lobbies for the perfect practice), so it's important to test it on both ends to see if there actually is a difference.Im done with getting fooled on Dualsense.

More oversteery is generally faster, as long as it stays controllable.Yes I agree. I did run his tune first. But which tune to use also depends on driving style a bit.
Like I changed to Kie's which is more oversteery, but I still went faster. I guess controlled oversteer is more in the region what I want with this car. I feel like I can get earlier on the throttle with Kie's tune since the car turns in better. That's what I want really, my driving style is aggressive and early on the throttle, which is why I struggle with tyre saving so much. But one one lap I tend to go quicker with a bit more oversteer.
Yes. Read: as long as it doesn't ruin your potential best lap in the final corners.More oversteery is generally faster, as long as it stays controllable.
I did, was a lot back and forward to match it.Just make sure you do this with both PS4 & PS5. I just set up a TT to look at this. Having done a lot of laps over the last two week, the TT combo feels very different to the TT Event. More traction, more grip, not surprised you've got a better time.Im done with getting fooled on Dualsense.
