I'll prob yell the first km's that I hate the car and tires, and just as always around session B or C I love the combo, have the car under controle and put out a descent gold time and hunt for a better time 2 weeks 🤣

Thanks to @half_sourly for contribution and inspiration I am continuing on my own personal statistics and I am very pleased that I placed 416 on Kyoto so I needed to introduce new column, chasing place 100! ( so far I have been checking statistics to improve my placement to reach place 1000 ) keep pushing guys! Good luck with new one!

Ok, I've put in a couple of laps. First thought, MORE TURN ONE TRAUMA. Prediction: 95% of my TT laps this time round will be less than 10 seconds long.

5 laps in and I'm down to 1:53.204. I've noticed that one of the top time drivers said on his youtube channel that he uses countersteer assistance for this one (!). After sending myself into the shadow realm under braking first time round I gave it a go, I honestly don't think it will help and if anyone watches his video on YT; my advice would be don't do it unless you are really really stuck.

I think the big big problem is that there isn't anywhere sensibly flat to brake into turn one, it's bad enough in a race car but in a road car capable of these speeds on those tyres it is always going to be an absolute ballache. GT weight transfer physics seem to be a bit heavy handed anyway and it is amplified here. I found I could get the car reasonably stable by lifting off the throttle for about 0.5 seconds before braking and braking slightly early, modulating the brakes all the way through. I think it's challenging and not impossible, COULD be extremely satisfying to practice and nail. This also seems true at the bus stop chicane, even with the car straight it became lively under braking but lifting off the throttle slightly before braking seemed to settle the car a bit. Why, I do not know..

Other than that the car seems pretty good, plenty of corner exit traction especially in 3rd gear unlike the Nurburgring GP/GT4 combo which was just stupid (if my new GT4 could enter an uncontrollable powerslide at 60mph/100kph on half throttle in 3rd gear, I would return the keys laughing to Porsche). UNPOPULAR OPINION; this could be the most enjoyable TT for... a long long time.

Well once again I earned the bronze in the Kyoto time challenge. The car didn't feel easy/stable enough for to want to continue to aim for silver/gold so I gave up. I hate to miss out on the 2M again but if it's stressing me then I can't do it. I just wish I could get one, that's all. Is that too much to ask?

Well, considering you ended up in bronze, gold would've been a stretch. You missed out on 1 mil instead :)

Looking forward to this one. LOVE Dayton Road Course! This will be fun.

But, I have to call out PD. Why another Japanese car? We are at Daytona! Why not a Viper, or a Cobra?! Thus far we've done 18 TT challenges, and this is how it breaks down (car wise):

Japanese: 8
German: 2
American: 1
British: 1**
French: 0
Misc (GrX cars or other): 6

I counted the Gr2 at Brazil here because all Gr2 cars are Japanese. I could've easily counted the Gr2, Gr4 and some of the Gr3 ones as well since they're Subaru & GTRs as METAs, but didn't because at least one could use other countries' cars if one wanted to.

**McLaren MP4... British car with a Japanese engine? Gave GB the benefit of the doubt.

I mean, we all know PD is biased, but at least try to act like you're not?

Just done 10laps. This car feels unstable under braking for me.
The 1sr corner is my nemesis. Probably loosing 0.5-1.0 sec through there. 1.54.3**
Know there is more in it.
Something is bothering me.
The NSX is a state of the art sportscar with all the electronic gizmos you could imagine.
So why is this car all over the place when you apply full brakes with ABS on in T1?? :banghead:
It annoys me that modern cars don't have a standard setup in GT7 that is reliable and easy. I can understand a Miura or a 911 Turbo is a handful, that's what they were in real life. But modern supercars that behave a like chittish kittens? Cmon PD :odd:

Has anybody here driven the NSX in real life? I find it hard to believe that Honda would release a car that behaves like that under braking
Could this basically be because of the shoddy sports tires???????????

Should I retire from the controller territory? (I'm in 3rd, now 4th as 'sirvia' pipped Romero)

That's super. Wonder how you managed the car under braking!

Daytona is a good track apart from T1.
Trying to slow this car down without spinning out or hitting the invisible Pit Wall. Seems to want to kill you soon as you got the brakes with barely any turn of the wheel.

Does PD think it's justified assigning sports tires to a car on a track that touches 290km/h which will provide the best handling & grip? I focus more on keeping the car straight instead of getting the most out of the NSX.

T1 was the only hurdle I had to really focus on, especially with the NSX's ability to want to turn left when tapping the brakes.

I think part of the problem is the way that turn is designed, the bus stop is way more forgiving.

Honestly I think it's a little bit of a boring track - almost half of the driving is just straights. It's not very engaging
It's not the worst track.
Probably favourite in the game is Bathurst or he Nordschliefe.
But that would be too long for a 10lap daily race.
