Yeh I get you, I've been lucky on this one, in that my new job hasn't started yet, so I had more practice time. Plus the Mrs has been out of the house most days, otherwise I would never have had the time.
So yeh it's really frustrating when you figure out but times against you.

I do not know if I will sound as a comforter but more of us are in similar situation, and I regret that I didn't start improving my times earlier, a week or two ago, but waited until last night and then still it was not enough to get times I am pretty sure I could get... but lets focus on next one that starts today, I wonder which car it is?

Yes, I do know I'm not the only one. Here in Italy we say "mal comune mezzo gaudio", which sounds like "if everyone if hurt, each one feels a bit less hurt".
Also seeing a new challenge already moved me back in fighing mode 😁

Yes, it's disabled so I can use the car seat. Also has Isofix for fitting the car seat easy. And everyone said I'd have to sell it now we have a baby... Pfft!
Wait until you have the second one, suddenly you need a 2+2. Those "useless" mustang or 911 seats are suddenly not so useless. Fun fact, you can remove the back seat on the 911 to gain 3 inches of leg room for jnr.

Going back to the last TT, but actually this is a tendency of mine that I have to wipe out:

I noticed it especially in turn 2 (the one after the chicane to be taken practically flat out): often I would wait to see the outcome, or efficiency, of my braking before turning in. The result of this was that I was turning late and losing a lot of time.

Surely I should have braked a little earlier, to give confidence to my action and not have that sense of "I'm not in it" seeing the corner coming, but I think there's also more to it that I can't grasp.
Maybe the fact that I didn't have a clear and precise reference of the braking point? Maybe the fact that each time I arrived at the braking point with the car positioned a little differently?
Or is it a mental thing? I know that in that turn I struggle to do things the same every time, and I already put myself at a disadvantage before I even get there?

Does this feeling happen to you as well?

Agreed. It’s actually a really interesting time trial and I’m looking forward to exploring other cars. I took one outing in my beloved Jag but I think anything tail happy is a no go here; too lively and I don’t have the ability/muscle memory to control it consistently. The 911 has so much traction and nice balance it’s such a consistent performer even though other cars are probably quicker!

Quick session and a new paint job for my 911. 1:41.413 with optimum in the 1:40s.. I don’t know what my ‘goal’ is yet but thankfully it’s not ‘just surviving turn 1’ like this time two weeks ago!

10 laps in the F-Type and I've finally found some lap time. Got a 1:43.3XX, but there were a couple of sloppy bits, so I'm sure I could get closer to gold with it. Rest assured, I'll be back for more soon!

Need to get back to the grind. I've got some Ferraris to buy...

Modern F1 track + GT3 cars... :indiff: This TT will suck for me.

First session was an exhausting 40ish laps. Tried the R8, RS 01, Ford GT '17, and the 911. They all get around the same time in my hands.

Hit my skill wall hard at 1:43.1xx.

Gold feels impossible this round. I suspect this is my punishment for neglecting the Sardegna grind for a month.

Put in 45 minutes and managed a 1:41.896 in the 911. Good enough for gold at the moment but since I don’t trust those that spend every waking moment for 2 weeks beating themselves, I’ll try to beat it in other cars this weekend.
What do you guys use as a reference point to start accelerating out of T3. I can never find anything to reliably use as a visual cue.
There’s an orange block on the wall with signs above. Usually right at or after that if I haven’t completely messed it up. But I’m sure someone faster has something better.

Tried it tonight to get used to the track. 1:44's right now in the Porsche, but willing to try other cars. Not really worth hardcore grinding so early in the event. If it will be anything like the last one, expect to have to go back and better your time 2 or 3 times to ensure you don't get bumped to a lower ranking.

First session of this new TT, went for the RSR, seems a different BoP setup of the car the last time i drove it on the GP layout?

I have a love/hate relationship with this car, the power and grip are to die for, but it just tries to kill me the whole lap
so i'm not just there yet, first sector is ok, but strugggle with 7/8/9,13 and 15
To often i have to lift mid corner to not mow the lawn on the exit

The RSR oversteers, understeers, and eats asfalt. but.....you gotta love it...
Lots of room to improve and i'm going to aim for a 40's this time, who knowssss

I was wondering btw, i saved my fastest lap but did not share it, is there a way to replay your fastest lap again?, i can select the ghost so it's there, but i have no clue how to share it if you have left the TT screen?,

Uhh, not as easy as I thought. I did about 10-11 laps last night before going to bed, managed a 1:42.031, but that's not nearly good enough, I must find at least a second somehow. Tried the RSR - didn't do anything, tried the BRZ, much nicer to drive, and then couple of laps in the RS01, that was the car I liked the most, stable, grippy.

I really don't understand the top times. I will say it again - as I watch their replay, and other track guides, I do exactly the same, same braking points, same corner lines, acceleration points, used the same gears at the same places, the lap looked the same when you watch it on replay without the timing, but somehow I'm 2.8 seconds off the best time... Baffled, like always :D

To share your replay or any anything else you’ve saved (decals, livery’s etc)
Go to the showcase area on the main screen. From there you’ll see many different options, you’re looking for collections or my stuff I can’t recall.
Hopefully that helps 🍻

@half_sourly hope you are still enjoying you vacation and are just reading this message when you are back. Man I love your work and wonder if it would be interesting for people to get two more columns. Car Type + Tires ?
I would like to have it at least so if anyone can help me with Tires for first 5 races I would appreciate that. They are not on gt web page any more. And if anyone knows Car type help would be appreciated.
thanks in advance.
