I do not know if I will sound as a comforter but more of us are in similar situation, and I regret that I didn't start improving my times earlier, a week or two ago, but waited until last night and then still it was not enough to get times I am pretty sure I could get... but lets focus on next one that starts today, I wonder which car it is?
Take your pick

You did it !, congrats!, what a time, i don't know were you found that time, awesom,

Here by I officialy crown you to freaking alien

I did one last session this morning, but was to frustrated, kept changing things and just wasn't good enough, close but

Final result. 1:51.037 - 773e, on to the next :)
Hahaha! If the boot fits 😇 I am still blown away that I can be that quick, I must have just found a glitch in the matrix! 1:51.037 is still a mega time so you should be very proud of that my friend! 😎

Oh dang, I love the car option but Catalunya is not my fave.. and with it being Gr.3, a lot of people will be REALLY fast as it is a lot of sim racers' bread and butter. I am relatively new to sim racing and not used Gr.3 much at all; I will be slow here! But they are predictable and I know the track so a gold should be easy. Good look all!

First attempt, I've gone with the 911RSR.. Not bad, it's quite enjoyable actually in this layout although I'm not familiar with the final two corners; my turn in is so inconsistent there so lots of time to be had. I posted a 1:42.436 but with lots of mistakes and as it turns out... CS strong still on from last night's efforts :scared:. Optimum was already in the 1:41's so I reckon I'll be in the 1:40s soon but it will be fun to try different cars (911 looks like the one.. all that traction!). Boring combo as mentioned but for me a good learning experiene with the Gr.3 cars and a chance to maybe try a few I don't normally.

If memory serves me correct, I should try 911 and Lambo first, then NSX and something else, because those were my fastest cars back from a few months ago when there was a daily race here (didn't do Daily B last week). I think I did my fastest lap in the Lambo funnily enough lol.

Yeah this has 911 written all over it. I like the track, not having the chicane makes all the difference. Track takes patience, as soon as you start pushing your times get slower.
They've taken the most tricky section out of the circuit, should be much easier to turn in consistent lap times. There's only two corners now where you can really lose time, 5 and 10. The rest of the circuit has a really simple flow to it and it should be fairly easy to conquer this one.

Yeh I get you, I've been lucky on this one, in that my new job hasn't started yet, so I had more practice time. Plus the Mrs has been out of the house most days, otherwise I would never have had the time.
So yeh it's really frustrating when you figure out but times against you.
End of June last year I caught Covid about 2 weeks after (well started showing symptoms) my mother and sister (I was living at my parents home until my home was being built) and a week after both my kids and wife had it. I got the anti-viral same-day and to be honest, I felt fine the next day - but the rest of my family got it pretty rough when they had it and I was playing nurse the whole time. So selfishly lol I sort of played the part - soley so I could game as long as I wanted.

For those on here that are young, no wives or kids, take it in lol. Before you know it, you're finding maybe 30-min stretches where you can game or you can wake up early to fit in time (what I do). Don't get me wrong, I love being a dad and husband - just wish there were more hours in a day to do all the things you need to do and also have time to game. Can't wait for kids to be older so we can game together!

It is hard to fit it in. I'm lucky if I get an hour most days. Even if o get time on it I'm that knackered from work shifts it's hard to enjoy it.
But I take it as a bonus being able to online/racing. Fitting it in with work & family time not easy.

I avoid online play. I like to say that I don't because getting uninterrupted time to finish a race is dicey if kids are awake and then spending time with my wife/cleaning when they're asleep. But the real reason is my history of... being rage'y when playing online lol. I tend to get competitive and want to be towards the top and without the time to invest in getting better (plus not having a wheel) I don't want to wake up that demon!

My kids are 11 and 7 and it's MILES easier than when they were under 5. No comparison. We play together, watch top gear, take the porsche convertible out for a thrash, we go go-karting, we watch Kong Vs Godzilla etc. Babies and toddlers are just a PITA.

My lad is 2, and the only time I manage to get on the PS to play some GT7 is after 10pm ish, when my wife has gone to bed and the lad is asleep. Having spare time is something you have to forcibly fabricate when you have kids, right?!

I took mine for his first ride in my Z4 last week. Popped the car seat into the passenger side. He was slightly apprehensive of going in "the noisy car" but he loved it once we started moving! What you've described is basically what I'm looking forward to!

Similar, when I finish late shift and get home at 2.30am I go on till 5am while kids (3 & 7 ) are asleep. Sometimes can go on weekend or evening with my 7 yr old. Do let eldest go on GT7 sometimes but he prefers project cars.
