All it takes is one good lap man, one good lap! I believe in you!
True, I was just -400 to my fastest stint time of 1.51.202 before receiving a penalty at thr busstop.... 🤣🤣..life is hard sometimes 🤣

Now taking 6 in 3th, seems to go quite well but sticking it al together...pfff... 🤣

Last night I decided to try to get my Silver to a Gold and I would not stop until I achieved it. Little did I realize how long it would take... I know I suck but my suckage was at an all time high last night. But, about 5 hours (yes HOURS) later I did it at 1am in the morning... Lap time of 1:52.861. Optimal was another .4 quicker but I’m done with this one. Only just sneaked in, but I don't think the fastest lap is going to move now so I should be safe. I think I lapped Daytona over 200 times..

The biggest time savings for me is in turn 1. I have to brake completely straight for a small bit so the car doesn't lose the back end then I can try to rotate the car in to turn 1, but I almost always screw it up and either brake too much and drop in to 2nd gear or not enough and slide wide on the exit. I know there is at least 1 second or more for me to gain by getting that turn right.

I’m glad my time is sticking so far - just a few more days to go. I’m very curious to see what the next one will be. Maybe we’ll have limited settings options, like for this current GTWS Exhibition Series.

Yes, I'm still in the silver range with my 1'54.977 time. So if I do not earn gold I will be happy enough with a 1M prize! I'm not really sweating it much. The object of this is to have fun not worry about getting every single prize for gold!

I think I finally got the first corner down. My challenges are the right handers in the in-field and the bus stop. My gold time I finally got the bus stop right, actually by accident, and I took .7s off in that one spot alone. Ironically the rest of the lap was less than stellar but the bus stop made up for it.

I’d been trying to replicate the replays from faster drivers by entering the bus stop in 5th and then rotating and downshifting to 4th once in to then accelerate out. Up to that point I’d often mess up so I tended to hit it more cautiously in 4th but on that lap I miss-geared and it actually turned out perfect!

I'm hoping it's the RA272, that thing is a joy to drive.

Make it in cockpit view only as well!

Until today i have set 2635 km (1637.3 miles) on the NSX trying to get in the 50's......,
I'm consistent now in the low to mid 51's but i'm so frustrated, i ran laps today of 51.060, 044, and 0.39....
while my best time is 51.037 :banghead:

I think my problem corner has shifted from 1 to the horseshoe, suddelny i'm less consistent there...

@Dan_Tes i'm trying man, that one good lap....,, you truelly did a hell of a lap!

Cheering for you to get that 1:50:***
Three days left, you can do it!

I'm probably done with this, not because I hate it (actually yes... I kind of hate it), but because I will not be able to race again before the end of the TT.

My time is stil 52.950, but in yesterday session I did lot of improvement in turn 1.
I find it easier for me to approach the turn with the car straight and keeping the yellow line exactly between the right and left tyres.
I know that I'm thightening the corner doing this, but I can get consistent breaking. I'm 3/10 better here for the only reason that I can handle what happens, while with other routes what happens in simply in mercy's hands.

This is the good news, that bad is that I wasn't able to replicate the remaining turns of the lap. Again, putting all togheter is the issue.

You've got this! I think what happens sometimes is we get in a rut braking point/turning in point/shifting point sometimes and it's slow.. then one time we screw it up and find a new line and miraculously it works better and then that becomes repeatable! The horseshoe is my weakest turn now although the bus stop is always a bit of a lottery because of the speed and weight transfer . I haven't got anywhere near that lap to be fair just a few in the 1:50s since so I doubt I'll beat it.

I'm going to sit here and say I won't try again but come the final day I know i'll get itchy feet and jump on again to try and get a quicker lap! I love the TT's for this reason, it's all about personal improvement and I find it so satisfying to keep finding those extra 10ths of seconds...

I think your spot on with this,
Weight transfer really seems to affect it through the chicane, there seems to be a little lag from when you turn the wheel to when the car responds, so it feels a little bit over/understeery.
Turn 1 had me frustrated for ages, but I seem to have found a decent line/braking point there so it's more enjoyable to drive now.

Indeed, this is true, most of the time suddenly you find another line to be quicker, but i was hoping i allready found that
i have alot of miles allready lol, but lap after lap, my wife claims i'm an idiot for doing the same lap every day every time,
but it's what you say, it's personal, and normally if i'm good into gold i try the last day for an hour or so, but now somany have great times, and i'm so close now, but still am quite proud to be at 1.29% ( for now) with my ancient PS4 on controller.

And i will keep trying ofcourse, this is what GT7 is about for me, love the competition this way!

The problem of getting no where your fastest time pains me every time, and then out of the blue you are quicker again ( that has a bar ofcourse ), i hope you can get even lower, i'm curious where you end up!

Thanks for the support :)

Hi all. After 1500 mil of driving to hell!!!

Finally managed to have a go at the TT last night, after putting it off to focus on grinding Sardegna for credits for Ferraris recently! Put in roughly 10 laps, which started with and abominable 2:01 opening, and finally managed to crack a 1:53, getting me into silver and that'll do pig! Unless I can find some time tonight to put in an effort and push for gold...

I would guess new added Grand Valley track could be on next TT ? 🧐 Wasn't same thing with Road Atlanta, TT after they added it?
That's what my guess is - Grand Valley. As to whether it's the longer or shorter layout, I think that could be anyone's guess. Maybe it'll have us drive that first-gen Porsche Carrera RS that was just added, too. What'd be real sweet is if they had it at the longer circuit, and let us use any of the "Carrera RS" models from Porsche with settings enabled, albeit with limits on PP.

They could either actually let us use a car from our garage, or maybe have some pre-tuned cars for us to pick, like the upcoming Nations Cup race this Saturday. In that example, they have all available versions of the Nissan Z, but some have widebodies equipped, others have SS vs SH vs SM tires equipped, and so on.

Guys does it happen to you that you drive lap after lap and times are kind of same, no improvement at all, then take a break for few days, come back , drive few laps and then set new PB, or is it just me? I wonder what that break help with?

All the time!

Great question by the way.

Has to do with mental sharpness vs mental fatigue after 20 to 45 minutes or so depending on several factors such as one's ability to focus intensely for a long time, plus your brain subconsciously puts some pieces of the puzzle together in the background while resting.

I've found that when I start to make too many small mistakes or when my brain goes into auto-pilot mode, a half an hour to an hour break or longer such as the next day when I've done too much almost always ends up in an improvement and a lower mistake frequency.

When learning a new track or car, you can go for longer(total) because there is so much room for improvement everywhere, whereas if you're already close to the limit you do have to string almost everything perfectly in order to get a new PB.

Last thing, when you get consistent overall for a certain period of time, that's when you start to find time you didn't think was there. Same goes for real life driving on track 😉

Same thing happened to me tonight. I was stuck in the low 1:53s for at least 40 laps. Finally ran a 1:52.8 and called it good. Came back a few days later and got nervous the time wouldn't hold so I ran 5 more laps. 1:52.9,1:52.7, 6 and a finished with a 1:52 flat.

I think it has to do with the pressure you put on yourself when you do it over and over. We all know where the time is but we get nervous when we are bumping up against our PB. I can't tell you how many times I finally pull 3 tenths in a sector that I'm struggling at only to give back 5 tenths in a sector I had mastered.
