I’m currently down to a 1’45.5, can see more time but the 3rd corner and the chicane are giving me the most problems. Optimal is a 1’45.1 but doubt I will see that.
1'45.5 is more than decent!,thats a great time! I think high 45 is max for me.....if........ i have a clean lap :scared:
1.67 % of the WR now but i hope i will nail at least one lap

That’s the problem, nailing a lap. I never get near my optimal time in time trials just not consistent enough like the top guys. I have only just started recently playing again though after a long break, hopefully will find some more speed and consistency over time.

True, mee too, i will find kind of a flow when i'm trying longer periods on the TT, don't restart and just finishing laps and uppen the speed, sometimes i drive consistent 46' highs for a few laps, then there comes a lap when i'm out of the CoD with an optimum of 1.45.8 or something and i will mis my apex on the last corner
We keep trying, good luck!

I spent about an hour playing it yesterday and was averaging mid to high 1.47 laps but finally managed to squeeze in a 1.46.8xx. Watched the replay and holy hell it’s sloppy! I could probably invest another hour and get a 1.45 but damn IDK if I have the patience at this point. You guys doing 1.45 laps are seriously skilled.

Taken half a tenth off, should of been more but had a little slide through the chicane. Down to a 1’45.483 now but can be ahead of my ghost through most of the lap.

Hey guys, I'm a bit late to this Time Trial party....haven't been on GT7 for a while now with work, traveling and such. Noob question here, where can I find that? is that under the circuit experience? Also, what are the requirements or is it different for every challenge?

In sports mode, requirement for gold is under 3% of p1 time (2m cr prize for golding and you can get it every 2 weeks).

Hi,

Its the top right hand icon on the world map screen - Right above the legendary car dealership logo.

Each one is a car specific TT with BOP applied.

Regards.

Ian.

The one before the long straight. Slight braking and turn in to the left. I can't seem to get it right and I'm loosing time in sector 2 because of this.
Oh right; yeah that can make or break the lap for sure. You probably already know but there’s an orange barrier on the left, brake half power immediately before that and down to 4th and coast onto the curb andfull throttle as you hit the curb and go up the hill.

Jumped back in my Mustang tonight for a few laps, managed to get my 1:47.8XX down to a 1:47.250. Happy with that! Got a slight kick out of being the only Mustang in my friends list and also ranking ahead of a bunch of GTRs. 😎

Edit: oh, and on my final lap I was -0.4 through the first chicane but completely ballsed up the esses so bailed out!

Yesterday I allowed myself a joke on my 2nd account and only drove there with the M4....
So even with that, the golden age really wasn't a real challenge. Currently I have a 1.46.9xx with the BMW, which will easily be enough for gold... there won't be that much improvement at the top.. the aliens are already at their limit or very..very close. Seaside with Gr4 is definitely a popular track. I also enjoy it a lot, although it's really hard work with the M4 compared to the GT-R or WRX.

I wonder how much time I’m losing not cutting the sweeping section like the top guys, I just can’t bring myself to exploit the track limits.

The question is rather, what time can you currently manage without cutting off?

I have a medium 45 with the GT-R, the optimal time is currently an almost smooth 45 and the whole thing without any cut.
The slight left bend is important before going uphill, here you have to get through it optimally and then "glide" up the mountain very cleanly with as little tire noise as possible.

I am currently losing most of my time on the final right at the end of S2 and also on the final right before going up to start/finish.
Getting to the apex cleanly with as much speed as possible and then coming out cleanly is always a challenge.

I ran the M4 aswell, but what i do i can't seem to find the improvement with it, 1.47.3 is the max with it for me

Mid 45 is really good Maxi, for the time i have spend on seaside now and how my top lap felt at 1.46.3... i can run 1.45.9 maby if i'm VERY lucky, but mid 45 isn't an option for me right now, funny thing is that the sections change the more you drive it, first sector is my problem right now in stead of the last.
I'm getting closer to consistent lap times of 1.46.mid so i'll keep trying to the end

I am in gold territory for the first time. Only just with 1:47:4xx. I wonder if it will hold ....
I would be surprised if someone beats 1:44.562, that is just alien time, so i think you have a good chance :)

Are you driving the M4 with "Short Shift"? I had to learn which gear was better in which corner.. In the first section of S1 I had more problems when the gear was too high (4-5), giving it too much torque. I got along better in the beginning in 3rd gear.. and then up on the crest in 5th gear.

Last corner of S2 down to 2nd and then quickly up to 5th gear. Before the CoD, it is best to put it in 7th gear right before turning in for the CoD to bring some "sluggishness" into the M4. Only the last corner gives me real problems.. if I'm really fast, I'm usually in the 4th, but that often causes my rear end to come off. When I'm in 3rd my speed is slower but I get out of the corner much better.

Probably the same thing that happens to me if I push too hard... I brake too late and too hard, then come into the first left with too much speed, which means I don't have a good entry into the right on the crest and slide out. It seems much better to let the first left go a little slower but cleaner and then have a much better line on the right hander.

What’s your sector 1 time?
