Are you driving the M4 with "Short Shift"? I had to learn which gear was better in which corner.. In the first section of S1 I had more problems when the gear was too high (4-5), giving it too much torque. I got along better in the beginning in 3rd gear.. and then up on the crest in 5th gear.

Last corner of S2 down to 2nd and then quickly up to 5th gear. Before the CoD, it is best to put it in 7th gear right before turning in for the CoD to bring some "sluggishness" into the M4. Only the last corner gives me real problems.. if I'm really fast, I'm usually in the 4th, but that often causes my rear end to come off. When I'm in 3rd my speed is slower but I get out of the corner much better.

Probably the same thing that happens to me if I push too hard... I brake too late and too hard, then come into the first left with too much speed, which means I don't have a good entry into the right on the crest and slide out. It seems much better to let the first left go a little slower but cleaner and then have a much better line on the right hander.
Indeed i also had some geraring troubles with the M4, i'll give your option a try!,

This morning i drove alot more consistent after i had ABS from normal to weak, the GTR goes very well with that, and makes me aware of not braking TO hard, altho the GTR doenst lock up easy, so maby my times will improve a bit

What’s your sector 1 time?
Most of the time around 36 flat when i'm reasonably fast for my feeling

(mist apex on the last corner tho :mischievous::banghead:)

1:46:713...that means IF I could put sector's together and get that OPT... Damn CoD..
I am on 1:47:944 for now..

Try to drive fewer curbs, because the car tends to get restless and slide sideways, which costs speed.
In S2 uphill... less steering angle, I didn't have any sound, but for me it looked like the GT-R was slipping, here less steering angle and no curbs, that brings more speed on the crest and a good 0, 3 seconds. the rest looked really good.

True, the entry of S2 here i needed max steering input, i find the first apex of S2 very difficult, i will try a different line and de-squeek the tires :)

Thanks for you input Maxi, I appriciate it!

Your lines are fine. Youve got a quick lap and with a couple of adjustments to can get easy half second. You can stay in 3rd for turn 1 and the tight right end of s1 and the last turn. Going to 2nd in the last turn has cost you a lot. That’s at least a couple of tenths just by not using 2nd.
The turn before the uphill start of s2 needs more trail and coast into the curb. Seems like you’re braking a little too much in a straight line. When you go up the hill rev out 4th much more, basically change to 5th as late as possible to get up the hill.
The sharp right before the chicane you don’t need to take as much or any curb really. The car bounced a little and lost you a couple of tenths. You can just skirt the apex and get on the power a tiny bit earlier.
I think you’ve lost well over half a second just on the last turn and the uphill esses. You’ve got a really good time in you for sure.

Edit: this is based on the GTR. Think you might be in the m4 so just ignore everything I said 😂

Thanks for the input!, this is in the GTR btw 😁, I going to try all your tips, and hope I can scrape something of the time 😊 👌,

Thanks!

My advice try to push less hard....you did a lot of laps, it might be exhaustion but the times you can see vary a lot. You first need more consistency in your lap times and then fine-tune little things bit by bit.
At least that's my opinion based on what I can see, please excuse me if I'm wrong in that assumption.

I mean guys, wouldn't you continue when you see OPT 1:46:7 while my best is 1:47:9... Then I have motivation to continue to reach better times...
True, i forgot howmany laps i did on seaside until now......, playing ostrich here.... most of the days i'll put around 350/400 miles on it i think, so i'm not judging , and i can't stop either, now Maxi and NiknakTobasco have giving me more tips, i know i'm putting the extra miles on it again

Well, I applaud your dedication and am a bit envious you're getting that much, long term enjoyment from the game!

I'd be surprised if I had 15 laps between two accounts (46.8 on both). Once I'm comfortably within gold, I call it quits.:dopey:

:), Yeah, there is something about GT what just makes me want to play, then and now, i'm 40, have a busy job, but always manage to find time to race, mostly i drive an hour before i go to work in the morning  nothing better to wake up with a shot of espresso, checking LCD and race :D and in the evening for half an hour or something.
You did a good job in those 15 laps!, i needed a whole lot more to drive a "46 :grumpy:

Anyone here can beat my time with a 'stock' Dualsense ( No trickery [if that's even possible yet idk?!] )

My time is 1:45.401 currently low top 200 in the rankings. I did like 50+ laps :dopey:

I know it can be done quicker I'm just wondering if there are some really fast people here that are using (stock) Dualsenses..?

This guy always does useful guides. I was stuck in 1.48’s. After a few changes to my lines and braking points I’m on the verge of getting into the 1.46’s consistently.

The best drivers are always consistent and don’t risk throwing it off. Us more humble drivers take risks and end up doing huge numbers of laps!

Well, I managed to get in the Top 200 on Trial Mountain using a (stock) controller.

It would be a challenge to get close to your lap time, but, as I said before, I'm little tired of this track - especially the graphics issue.

Even so, congrats on your lap!

Man! You guys put in so much time into these time trials! I did a whole 4 laps last night... 🤪
Pretty much the same, I make my daily mileage, that's about it. Good enough for silver at the moment though I've got no idea how the top ghost is carrying that much speed through some of the corners.

My GT-R time.. still expandable but at least.

But... I like this time even better...

Now I "just" have to be more consistent with the BMW.
If S1 and S2 run really well and I'm on the road with 1.09.xxx at the end of S2, I've always gotten stuck in the CoD.... but the MW is also a real diva.

You really are quick in that thing! I couldn't get it under 1:49! Might try it short shifting and now I've got a few more miles experience on the track. Noticed you cut the track quite massively on the first left up the hill - I didn't know you could cut it that much! That'll easily shave a few tenths off my times!!

track limits are more what you'd call guidelines than actual rules - if in doubt, cut some more.

Thank you, I'm glad if you like it. If I saw it correctly, the fastest M4 so far scored a 1.46.38x. I would like to break this time.

Holy crap, those are two nice laps!, how the hell do you get the GTR to turn in like that?!, im impressed!
Nice time on the BMW, that is alot more difficult then the GTR!

Wasn't able to improve my time with the Skyline at RBR in the week that followed since I wasn't at home, still top 243º.

As for this TT. Don't like the fact that it's no longer a single car/track combo TT... But, looking at the times, it might've as well been. Forget about any cars that are not AWD for this... Did a few laps, 10 or so and got a time of 1:46.7. Will likely improve by a lot once I watch the replays of the top times and set a ghost of one of them to follow.

Seems like a pretty easy gold and also that a ton of people are participating this time. I was like top 10k before with a 1:47.xxx and was already in the gold zone.

Heiliger Mist, das sind zwei schöne Runden! , wie zur Hölle bringt man den GTR, um sich so einzudrehen? !, im beeindruckt!
Schöne Zeit auf dem BMW, das ist immer schwieriger dann der GTR!
The brake does a lot, or rather the release in time and far enough.
