Gave a go with the GT51, comfortably sitting in bronze, not so far from silver, I need more consistency. I am able to gain 1s in the first sector, but I lose it afterwards. Silver should be at reach with a bit of training and the help of some lap guides. AT seems to be quite a handicap in the last straight 🤷‍♂️

I am speechless …. After hours on hours I managed to get it up to the thousandth of a second …

I am praying to the racing gods it stays like this lol but I’m guessing it won’t.

Here’s the onboard:

all I can muster is a 1:16.5, have done over 150 miles of the track and am feeling fatigued. could've gotten a 1:16.3 but i screwed up and got a penalty...how tf are the top people getting 1:14.8!!!

How do you know that? Is there a tracker somewhere that you can look at?
Looking at the timetable of the TT you can click on the name of the driver and it will show you the standard GT7 page with the distance done for the Daily Marathon.
Right about now Gallo's page is showing he's done 309 km today, so he is driving as we speak (write) as it is past midnight in Europe.

Never driven the car or track, but this still took longer than I expected. Took 90 miles to find a line (VR would make this track so much easier) and cut a lap I felt good with. This lap felt way too planted though, I’m sure there’s more in it if you throw it around more.
Other than the horrible understeer, it’s a decently fun car/track combo.
This again might be my only time for this one which is too bad, I feel there’s a low 16 in it without too much effort.
If I get a chance tomorrow maybe I’ll watch a couple replays and see where I can easily pick up time.

Ran Deep Forest tonight for 44 miles and dropped my time by 3/4 of a second. Now at a 1:17.850. Well into the silver territory. I do not have the patience nor the will to try for a gold on this one. I think that will be safe with the silver even if the aliens duke it out and drop the time ever so incrementally.

It’s actually a good idea to try to buy as many cars as possible. A few months ago there was a Suzuka tuning race with Sileighty as the meta car. It was not available in the used cars as that time so only way to race there properly was to own the car beforehand.

Same could happen in the future, maybe even in the time trials too.

As long as they are not expensive cars though, you can't expect someone with family and/or busy work like say an entrepreneur expect to have time to grind to get money for a car, in order to be able to enter a race. Rent function has made playing for them in every sport mode race much more convenient.

Not everyone is like me and some others, who have 7 million or more and can grind back the money spent on a car. So yeah, while I could afford the Wicked fabrication, I don't see a point to own one just for a livery, since I probably only use it just for this TT and then it would collect dust in my garage 🤷

And yeah tuning events are different, usually not that into dailies with tuning, sometimes I do them, sometimes not (I don't even do dailies every week). GTWS everytime and TTs too I buy the car needed. But even if it is not tuning events, you should not be required to buy a car either, and the persons owning the car should not have any advantages or perks, like someone suggested.

Renters should be equal to owners in this sense. How fair would it be, if the gr2 dailies favoring CLK LM would mean the only way to be competitive is to own one? 🤔 And imo tuning events should have either:
A) Only brand central cars
B) Cars that are in current rotation of UCD or LCD during an event or TT. PD knows which car will be available around the scheduled event times. If it is multiple cars for a tuning event available to use, it is enough if they have 1-2 available.

I'm glad we have 3 of them now 🤣, I tried DF again but can't get below my 16.8 and lost the interest a bit in this one because I don't have the time to make those super long stints wich I need to get better, that besides knowing I won't gold it 🤣, a second is just to much to gain

Fuji still not a fan of, I golded it with 41.195 and hope it is enough after the Olympic is done, but if it isn't I'll get back to it 🤣

The Wicked one I like! I , and I'm going to spend the most time on this one hands down! ,first goal was getting into the 16"

Sunrise and lungo at 6 am this morning slided my old rusty Wicked to a 16.709 but there should be more to find.
So I'm high one my list, due to everybody is Deep Forresting 🤣🤣🤣

Good luck to you all who are trying to gold DF, respect, I'm out , aint going to happen 🤣

I took to Deep Forest once more to see if I could go faster, but for the sake of my sanity I have to stop. My optimal time afterwards was a 16.077 but after driving myself to wit's end in this session (and believe me that's putting it lightly) I only actually shaved a few hundredths off my old 16.460. The ffb that doesn't warn you when the rear grip is fading just makes it impossible (for me) to deal with consistently. The turn getting onto the back straight became a nightmare because the car would let go so easily with no warning.

The worst lap of all was on an absolute flyer of a lap, I was .4 ahead of my fastest time only to notice it was invalidated because I'd breached track limits in the last sector of the previous lap. I've found almost regardless of my exit of the final hairpin the amount of time gained or lost was pretty much within 0.001 so it's like being kicked in the face for the following lap to be invalid as a result.

Brutal when it does that to you! I've not been back to it since last weekend. Might have a run on it this afternoon to see if I can snag that gold...

So frustrating! After putting in some time on the Deep Forest race to improve my silver time to be safe, I then jumped onto the Fuji TT. Put in a load of laps in the RCZ, missed out on gold by less than 0.01s! Threw away three laps in a row where I was under but last sector dropped 0.3-0.6s...

After 23 consecutive Golds, due to work limitations I'll not be able to reach my wheel and try to improve my lap time, getting my first Silver for the Olympics. Therefore, I will be out of the All Gold Club on Sunday 😂.

Ps. Respect the Pad drivers. The amount of compensation required when entering a turn compared to a wheel and GT Sport is huge.

you haven't explored the game much yet
