Chipped away another 0.5 this morning at 8:20.7 now. I need to be braver with the throttle and use it to rotate the car more. But it is so hard to judge with a controller

Put in a 17.2 this morning, feels close to my limit, probably a second or so lost to minor errors. Any further improvement needs attacking the exit curbs which feels too inconsistent on a controller.

I gotta say I am looking forward to @half_sourly 's statistics on the Nord24 hour TT when it's over. I am curious as to how many people participated in it vs the others, and... well all the other stuff as well.

I suspect it will be on the low side. Only around 62k at the moment, but of course some time to go.

Ahhhhh. I think I missed one entirely while on vacation. I assume this was end October early November last year. That's also when I got the silver medal. The physics changed while I was away. Dropping the times significantly.
Is there a way for me to access this data? Or is this your own personal wizardry?
At least I missed it doing Gt7 type stuff! Like going to Fuji and driving to scapes IRL

It is available under the Sport tab here (you may need to change country from the top right) but you'd need to know roughly where you ended up, or be willing to scroll through lots of pages. The alternative is to scrape the data, which is what I've done from the start. I have it all in Google Sheets (and MS Excel for some bits).

It's definitely a proper challenge and to be honest I'm leaving it to the end to tackle and aim for Sliver because I'm just not going to put that much time in to it (I know I know it's the same as doing 3/4 laps of other TTs) as it "feels" soooo long and I only recently got round to Golding the circuit experience, so fatigued by it at the moment.I gotta say I am looking forward to @half_sourly 's statistics on the Nord24 hour TT when it's over. Tried the Supra… it tried to kill me exactly 14 times 😂. Moved back to the 911, found another 3 seconds for an 8:23.356. I’m calling this safely silver.

Just keep at it. Sometime just drive it for fun instead of trying to break your own record. I just did a what I though was a horrible lap...missed the line at a few corners....sliding and almost losing it during a few corner exits....and the lap ended up being a 10th quicker than my personal best

The Nordschleife feels different of the GT6 version. I know where the circuit goes but it feels like I am learning it all over again 🤓

Really enjoying the Nurburgring. I'm not particularly a fan of the GP part but the Nordschleife is my all time favourite track, especially the sectors after the Carousel. Once you find the flow it's a real treat.

Maybe a bit off topic but why game don't record a replay video on Nürburgring 24h layout. I do it like I always do, share button, start recording and then I get video in PS app on the phone. I guess it has something with video length over 8 minutes?

When you finish your session, before exit, click on Save Best Lap. Then you can go to Showcase, replay it, and do the recording (sharing) part there.

Maybe I am missing some step 🤔 I have saved best lap, went in showcase, selected play and then pressed share button on DS5 and recorded it. Then they usually get uploaded and I download them on phone through PS app. But now last recording is not uploading?

You can't upload videos that are over 3 minutes long to PS app.

Use the PS5 screen recording while playing your replay. Then go to your media gallery in PS5, find the recording and move it to an USB. Then just move the usb to a computer and upload to youtube. (An eight mins lap will take forever to upload
). That's how I do it...not sure if there is an easier way.

Tried the RSR. Oh, this car is good. It looses on top speed, but this acceleration out of corners is another level. Grippy and not so twitchy.
Shaved few seconds of my initial time.
There's still some seconds there, provided I'll stop making silly mistakes and learn the exit out of Karussell.
I can't say gold is impossible, but quite unlikely (I don't expect this time to be safe for silver anyway).

I improved my personal best at the Nurb TT by several seconds on Saturday, but today... Today's session was ultra toxic. I restarted so many times that I logged close to 100 miles over zero laps. I got down to a 8:21.5xx and hit the wall. Figuratively and literally. Had to use the Meta Supra. I hate the way it drives 
Gr.3 cars' skittishness when pushed + the Nord's bumps and curbs make me feel that the game will flip a switch at random and turn off grip, usually at mid corner.
I need to not look at this TT for a day or two before I delete every Gr.3 car from my garage (3x for the Supra).
