Currently sitting on an 8:15.306 using the Audi R8 (facelifted one) with an optimum of 8:13. I've decided to give it a break for a few days and come back to it later as I've done more than enough Nurburg laps for 1 week.

Might also try a different car other than the Audi R8, as it seems a few people here are finding success with other cars I wouldn't have thought to use. I find the R8 has weird moments of understeer. Also it tends to tripod on the Carousel if you aren't in the right spot on the banking which causes a spin out.

Hopefully the gold time doesn't improve too much further, not sure I can pull my lap too much lower than a 15, getting that lap together cleanly was enough of a challenge.

So, a few days in on the Nordschleife......, i have mixed feelings about this one

The problem is that i keep changing cars, but i know that there are a lot of you that can gold it with almost every GR.3 car available.
So my goal was to choose and stick with it, went for the M6 because the car felt quite good on the CE.
But man i have a hard time to set a full good lap....
I was a little quiker this morning with a 18.6 but it's still not enough, and the bar will be raised prob.
Had a few mistakes, but not that much, so i have to find different lines in quess, maby watch some video's :lol:
There are just a few corners that i don't like, the tripple apex right hander does damage to my brian each time and i never nail it, that would save me some for sure :lol:

I did try the GTR afterwards, it's better in 3th gear with less wheelspin than the M6 with my driving style but it just won't rotate as much as the M6 sometimes.
i'm quicker with it on the first secror tho so maby i'll build some convidence on it, it's doesn sound awesom

I though i was descent on the ring, i'm back on the ground with both feet, thanks aliens, i appriciate it.... :banghead:

Have you tried the BRZ GT300 yet? It's really slow on top end but makes up for it in the corners. After trying mainly both Supras, R34 and M6 the BRZ feels the most planted and predictable, almost like it's on softer tyres. Improved my PB by 2.5ish seconds last night after only a few laps. Really fun and nimble car and the most enjoyable so far.

Been away for a week on holiday (in rainy Italy...) and finally had a go at the Grand Valley TT. Can anyone point me to a lap guide? I've managed a 1:18.5XX but it was scrappy, and very annoyingly (again) a 1:17.9XX on my alt account but that was a complete fluke. I'm still a long way off gold but I'd like to see if I can managed it - only a couple days left to give it a bash...

I haven't tried the BRZ yet, only because i could not realy get used to the different gearing to the 911 on the Catalunya TT, but maby it's a good one for this indeed, what's holding me from the gold at the moment is the indeed unpredictable things, there are always turns where i'm just to aggressive on the throttle and all those tiny bits makes seconds at the end
The supra for example, it's al hell of a car, fast, rotates like a windmill but it's so damn snappy, each corner it wants to kill me
and then when i'm on a gold lap and am at 3/4 of the lap i get scare on throttle in 3th what cost me even more time

I'll try the BRZ , maby i can get used to it :)👍

@MidnightRun85

It's a weird one to drive indeed that Wicked, i don't have a lapquide or something but only can show you my lap, not the best but certainly not the worst either...
I ran with CS on weak this run, in the end i don't know if it realy helps cause i ran almost the same time a few times without it,
Maby it can help you, maby not, i hope it does
I hope you gold it!, go get it!

Here's my lap (1:15.892). It's not exactly a lap guide but maybe good for some reference.

Thanks! Very interesting to see how you take that downhill section in S1 - I can see I'm losing around 5-6 tenths there easy! And the final turn you also take a much tighter entry than I do.

And maybe I need to do more donuts...

@djolliea you throw that thing around way more than I thought would be useful to be fast, but your lap time is rapid! Maybe I'm being too cautious and need to get more aggressive with it.

Try the Porsche; it is very solid. Similar to the BRZ, its top speed is lower than the Supra, but B.Tarrant has done an 8:07.066 in it (#17 at the moment) and @Mistah_MCA has done an 8:09.969 (#97). And he's done his usual excellent guide in the car, so you can get specific guidance:

Nice touch with the burnout and rat livery in your video <3

I feel your pain with unpredictable behaviour on DS4 with most BoP tunes, especially combined with RH tyres. Too much camber and tight LSD for my taste.

Thanks, i did start with the porsche initialy but switch to the supra but maby indeed with that lapguide from MCA i have indeed specific quidance, that could make a whole lot of difference!
Then i have to make a plan...... wich first haha

i think i'll check @Mistah_MCA guide and replant my ass in the RSR first and if that doesn't work try the BRZ
or back to the M6, i still was 0.7 second from gold... so close.....yet..... 8 second slower than MCA
how the hell..... :lol::bowdown::bowdown:

Amazing, thank you! There's definitely a load of time for me to find on this one!

Yeah, most of the time i can handle it and am descent on the laptimes, but the green hell is a different story, but was expected
we will fight to the end

I'm hoping my gold time stands on GV.

Time to start working on the Nord. Problem is I know that track well enough to know how well I don't know it. I'm going to take it slow for now and use this opportunity to complete the CE. I think getting gold one sector at a time, then get two laps on the TT is a reasonable strategy.

Using the Porsche RSR for this one. I'm on PSVR2 and this cars interior is most familiar to me with having its shift light on the wheel and I've used it for a lot of other events.

First day and I'm the bronze range for now. Let's see how it goes ...

Somebody with a new account has set Top 10 times in both of the active time trials, E driver rating
Their account is not new, they are just not very active on TTs and have done no Sport mode races. Note their mileage, time played, etc.

My biggest tip - be in 3rd gear before putting the foot down exiting every corner.

Don't lift off the throttle until you are under the banner leading in to turn 2.

Difference between a good player and an Olympic champion:

Very interesting video and shows how much every small detail makes a difference to the point you may usually not think about, here it's tenths difference and 500 places in leaderboard.

I could barely handle this car around here

oooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I saw a very similar video some time ago.
It's really enlighting, just keeping the same line but not having the confidence to open at the right time and in the right way is worth 0.2-0.4s (comparing a good one with an 👽)
In a regular track with, let's say, 10 turns, it makes a 2-4s difference, and it makes you sit around the gold gate.

Put in the mix the not perfect line, little miscues, not using the whole track and that multiplier effect already catapults you in silver/bronze area. We are speaking here about details that sometimes are even not visible to someone not realizing what to look for, and this is not the most difficult piece of the process.

I mean, I have terrible confidence in getting on throttle - but the GR010 definitely did not help in the least with the hybrid kicking in so violently.

If the throttle response was smoother I probably wouldn't have missed out on gold. I was constantly nervous every acceleration.

Smells like a secondary account. Unless it is some alien that rarely races anywhere online. But that seems highly unlikely. You don't get that quick without a lot of practice and talent. Plus if you were that quick, why wouldn't you push for a proper DR and maybe even Live event pace? Seems a bit sus.
